Abstract

Farmers certainly want a short and adequate time to collect their crops when the harvest season arrives. Such as durian farmers, most of them still use manual methods to harvest their agricultural products, even though there are already tools that can help make it easier when climbing trees. However, they still have risks because farmers still have to climb trees with tall tree branches, not to mention when the weather is not friendly and the trees are slippery due to rain. Of course, it is very risky to harvest agricultural products. The unmanned aerial vehicle will cut the stalks on the durian fruit with a circular blade-cutting mechanism. The blades are connected via a gear designed as a cutter capable of reaching the durian fruit stalk. The other motor that drives the cutting knife has been modified via the central controller to connect to the remote control so that the auxiliary motor on the cutting knife does not require a manual switch to turn it on. Using Quadcopter Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Technology as a Durian Fruit Picker is a solution for durian farmers who have plantations with high tree branches. Drones can reach fruit at the tree's end with the added cutter module mechanism. This drone has effectiveness in terms of time which is better than picking durian fruit manually. The design of this cutter can be adjusted at speed to adjust the drone's flight stability.

Abstract

English public speaking skills are important skills that postgraduate students need to have, especially in facing international academic forums, such as seminars, conferences, and global residency activities. This community service activity aims to improve the English public speaking skills of postgraduate students at Aisyah Pringsewu University, especially from the Master of Midwifery and Master of Nursing study programs. The program is implemented online for eight weeks through a series of trainings that include basic communication theories, presentation techniques, public speaking exercises, and academic conference simulations. The implementation method includes identifying participant needs, compiling teaching modules, providing materials, individual and group practices, and feedback sessions. The results of community service related to public speaking training are an increase in students' oral communication skills by 11.9% based on the results of pre-test and post-test evaluations. In addition, the outputs produced in this training are the preparation of training modules, and the publication of scientific articles. This activity not only provides cognitive impacts, but also equips participants with the confidence to be better prepared to participate in international conferences, student exchanges, or global research collaborations that contribute to the academic image of the institution at the international level.

Abstract

The increasing presence of multilingual learners in diverse educational contexts has brought new challenges for language teaching worldwide. This literature review aims to synthesize key findings from these three perspectives to clarify recurring challenges, identify pedagogical gaps, and justify the need for innovative approaches to support multilingual education. The review employs a qualitative thematic synthesis of the selected articles, organizing the analysis around common themes such as monolingual teaching ethos, translanguaging implementation, teacher identity, and institutional limitations. The findings show consistent evidence that language teachers often struggle to balance political multilingual policies with classroom realities shaped by monolingual pedagogical traditions. While translanguaging is promoted as a potential bridge between students’ diverse linguistic repertoires and school expectations, its effective practice remains hindered by unclear goals, teacher discomfort, and insufficient institutional support. Moreover, the context of Pakistan illustrates how limited classroom time, lack of exposure, and inadequate training further complicate multilingual teaching practices at the secondary level. Overall, this review underscores the urgent need for systemic teacher training, the development of flexible multilingual pedagogies such as translanguaging, and supportive institutional frameworks to align policy goals with practical realities in multilingual education.

Abstract

Based on a UNESCO survey, Indonesian people's reading interest was only 0.001 percent. That is, in a thousand communities there is only one community that has a reading interest. Our reading literacy score was still very low. (UNESCO, 2016). Based on data from Elementary School 01 Tulung Agung, in the 3.5, and 6 grades with a total of 33 students, it was found that interest in learning decreased from a percentage of 75% to 60% because it required students to study online.
