Abstract

This study aimed to discover and describe the development of e-modules in the biology of excretory system materials to enhance students' critical thinking skills. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model tested on 20 students in grades XI-6 of SMA Negeri 2 Gorontalo. Based on the analysis, (1) the media validation test obtained 78% (Valid), the material 83% (Valid), and the questions 78.5% (Valid). (2) The practicality test, which consisted of teacher responses and student responses, obtained 86% (Very Practical) and 92.5% (Very Practical), respectively. (3) In terms of the student's critical thinking skills, 12 students were categorised as moderately capable (60%), N-Gain 0.67 (Moderate), and validation 67% (Effective). In conclusion, the excretory system material of the biology e-module to improve student's critical thinking skills was valid and practical to be used. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tentang Pengembangan E-Modul Biologi Materi sistem Ekskresi Untuk Melatih Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE dengan uji coba pada 20 peserta didik di kelas XI-6 SMA Negeri 2 Gorontalo. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Uji validasi media berdasarkan presentase memperoleh nilai sebesar 78% (Valid), Uji validasi materi berdasarkan presentase memperoleh nilai sebesar 83% (Valid), dan Uji validasi soal berdasarkan presentase memperoleh nilai sebesar 78,5% (Valid). (2) Uji Kepraktisan terdiri dari Respon Guru dan Respon Peserta Didik. Uji Respon guru berdasarkan presentase memperoleh nilai sebesar 86% (Sangat Praktis), dan untuk Uji respon peserta didik berdasarkan presentase memperoleh nilai sebesar 92,5% (Sangat Praktis). (3) Keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik diperoleh hasil yang paling banyak adalah 12 peserta didik dikategorikan berkemampuan sedang sehingga diperoleh presentase sebesar 60%, berdasarkan skala N-Gain memperoleh nilai sebesar 0,67 (Sedang) persentase validasi atau 67% (Efektif). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-Modul Biologi Materi sistem Ekskresi Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik  yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis sehingga dapat atau layak digunakan pada pembelajaran biologi materi sistem ekskresi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of an interactive e-module that integrates local wisdom as a learning resource in the coastal environment. The main objective is to help students gain a more meaningful and contextual understanding of coastal ecosystems, while increasing their active involvement in the learning process. This study uses a Research and Development approach with the ADDIE development model. Limited trials were conducted on 26 grade X students at SMA Negeri 2 Tilamuta. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research instruments consisted of a needs analysis sheet, validation sheets from material and media experts, and assessment tools from practitioners to evaluate the feasibility of the e-module. The results showed that the interactive e-module received a very positive response in the practicality test, with a percentage of teacher responses of 88% (very good), students of 95% (very good), the implementation of learning 1 of 92% (very good), and learning 2 of 88% (very good). These findings indicate that interactive e-modules based on local wisdom are a feasible and innovative alternative learning resource for use in the classroom..

Abstract

Environmental problems are becoming increasingly complex and tangible. This requires biology learning that is contextual and relevant to daily life. However, the learning process in the classroom still heavily relies on textbooks and lecture methods that do not actively involve students. Therefore, interactive teaching materials that connect the subject matter with current environmental issues are needed. This research aims to develop and test the validity of E-LKPD based on the Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) approach on the topic of environmental changes. The development model used is ADDIE, limited to the first three stages: Analysis, Design, and Development. The research method employs a quantitative descriptive approach involving two expert validators, namely a media expert and a content expert. The instruments used consist of validation sheets with a rating scale. The validation results show that the media and content aspects received an average score of 98%, which falls into the 'very valid”. Thus, this SSI-based E-LKPD is deemed suitable for use as a learning resource in biology education, particularly on the topic of environmental changes. Abstrak. Permasalahan lingkungan semakin kompleks dan nyata. Hal ini menuntut pembelajaran biologi yang kontekstual dan relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, proses pembelajaran di kelas masih banyak bergantung pada buku teks dan metode ceramah yang kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan bahan ajar yang interaktif dan mengaitkan materi dengan isu lingkungan aktual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji validitas E-LKPD berbasis pendekatan Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE, terbatas pada tiga tahap awal: Analysis, Design, dan Development. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melibatkan dua validator ahli, yaitu ahli media dan ahli materi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi dengan skala penilaian. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa aspek media dan materi memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 98%, termasuk dalam kategori “sangat valid”. Dengan demikian, E-LKPD berbasis SSI ini dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar dalam pembelajaran biologi, khususnya pada materi perubahan lingkungan.
