Abstract

The introduction of additives and addictive substances for the younger generation, especially the millennial generation, is very important because children's habits, especially when they are teenagers, do snack activities at school and the surrounding environment without having a selective attitude for the sake of health. The habit of snacking and the lack of knowledge and understanding of healthy snacks and the content of foods that are harmful to health make students not have a selective attitude in consuming snacks in the school environment. Additives contained in food, if excessive can have a negative effect on health. Likewise with addictive substances if misused it will cause negative effects for the body. The purpose of this service activity is to introduce additives and addictive substances that are harmful to health for students aged children and adolescents so that they are able to prevent disease, create a selective attitude in consuming food for the sake of health and save our children from abuse of harmful addictive substances. . The method used in this service activity is the lecture method with a participatory approach through 4 stages of activity, namely, opening, giving material, question and answer/discussion and closing. The socialization activity went well, this could be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the socialization activity from beginning to end and actively asking questions and discussing. Learners know the types of additives and addictive substances that are harmful to health and know how to prevent abuse of dangerous addictive substances. In addition, it also adds insight and knowledge to participants about additives and addictive substances that are harmful to health so that students have a selective attitude in snacking activities and consuming food and drinks in the school environment and its surroundings.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh model SPjBL berbasis sumber daya lokal terhadap kemampuan penalaran ilmiah dan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimental dengan desain pretest posttest nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 54 mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah Struktur Perkembangan Tumbuhan II semester gasal tahun ajaran 2019/2020 di Universitas Negeri Malang. Data hasil implementasi dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji analisis kovarian (Anakova) satu jalur. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes esai penalaran ilmiah dan tes esai pemecahan masalah yang telah divalidasi. Hasil analisisdata menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model SPjBL berbasis sumber daya lokal terhadap kemampuan penalaran ilmiah, dan pemecaham masalah mahasiswa

Abstract

The introduction of herbariums in schools as a medium to concrete material and support science learning and plant identification based on a school environment that makes it easier to teach material on the structure and function of plants in class VIII at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Gorontalo district is the goal in this service activity. The stages of activities using an active participatory approach consist of 4 stages, namely 1) preparation; 2) coordination; 3) implementation; 4) evaluation. The number of students who took part in the activity was 30 people and was attended by the principal and 3 teachers. The herbarium introduction and plant identification activities based on the school environment went smoothly and wisely, as seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the activity from start to finish. The introduction of the herbarium gives meaning and impression to MTs students. Negeri 2 Gorontalo district because it is able to provide knowledge to students about one method/media to determine plant taxon. Identification of plants based on the school environment provides knowledge and skills to MTs students. Negeri 2 Gorontalo district in supporting learning activities in schools regarding the introduction and description of plants.

Abstract

Fish as an important source of animal protein for humans is very easily damaged, so it must be processed immediately for consumption. People generally sell fish in fresh form or in smoked form. This community service activity aims to socialize the potential of developing fish-processed culinary products to improve society's economy. The activity was carried out in Bilungala Village, Bonepantai District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. This activity uses the counseling method, including the delivery of material by the speakers, followed by discussion sessions and fish processing demonstration. Participants who were PKK women and Posyandu cadres in Bilungala Village were very enthusiastic and grateful for the materials and training provided because they broadened their horizons and knowledge, and increased their motivation to try to make culinary processed fish products independently at their respective homes.

Abstract

Gorontalo Province is one of the provinces that has a wealth of natural resources, especially fishery and marine products. One area that has the highest fish production is Bilungala Village, Bone Bolango Regency. Fish is a food rich in protein, minerals, vitamins, and fatty acids. In addition, fish also contain omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin K which the body needs. All the nutritional content in fish is very influential on the growth and development of children. But in fact, the level of fish consumption in Indonesia is still very low compared to other largest fish-producing countries. Therefore, socialization is carried out through the use of marine fish as a source of nutrient-rich food. The purpose of this service is to provide information to the public about the nutritional content of fish, increase fish consumption in the community, and increase the hobby of eating fish. The location of service is carried out in Bulungala Village, Bonepantai District, Bone Bolano Regency, Gorontalo Province. The target of this service is the people of Bilungala Village, especially PKK women with activities carried out in November 2022. The activities consist of the preparation, implementation, and closing stages. In the preparatory stage, a survey was carried out in the village, then in the implementation stage, socialization was carried out to the community through the provision of material and ended with a discussion/question and answer regarding the material presented.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tentang Pengembangan E-Modul Biologi Berbantuan Flipbook Maker Berbasis Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik di Kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research & Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE dilakukan uji coba terbatas pada 22 peserta didik di kelas X SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Uji validasi materi memperoleh nilai sebesar 94% (Sangat Valid), dan Uji validasi media memperoleh nilai sebesar 84% (Valid). (2) Uji Kepraktisan terdiri dari uji Respon Guru memperoleh nilai sebesar 94% (Sangat Praktis), dan untuk Uji respon peserta didik memperoleh nilai sebesar 91% (Sangat Praktis). (3) Tes hasil belajar pada kelompok kecil dengan melakukan evaluasi pretest-posttest, berdasarkan skala N-Gain memperoleh nilai sebesar 0,68 (sedang) atau 68% (Cukup Efektif).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity of the Constructivist Teaching Sequence (CTS) learning module assisted by Augmented Reality (AR) on the cell concept material. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with reference to the ADDIE development model which is implemented until the limited trial stage. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method which was implemented during July-December on 25 grade XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Gorontalo. The validation results show that the module obtained a score of 75% from material experts with the category "Valid" and 96% from media experts, with the category "Very Valid". Based on these results, the AR-assisted CTS learning module is declared valid and feasible to be used in biology learning on the cell concept material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Constructivist Teaching Sequence (CTS) learning model supported by Augmented Reality (AR) media on cell concept material. The main focus is to evaluate the extent to which each stage in the syntax of the CTS model can be implemented properly during the learning process. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach with a learning implementation observation instrument. The research subjects were 25 students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. The results showed that the exploration, restructuring, and evaluation stages were optimally implemented with percentages reaching 100%, 97%, and 100%, respectively. The introduction stage is at 80%, while the application of new concepts still needs to be improved with 70% implementation. The overall average of learning implementation reached 89%, which is included in the excellent category. This finding indicates that the AR-assisted CTS model is very feasible to be applied to support students' active involvement and concept understanding.

Abstract

Educators continue to encounter challenges in designing effective instructional tools, particularly in selecting learning models that actively engage students. This study aims to develop Predict-Observe-Explain (POE)-oriented learning tools for ecology and biodiversity topics that meet validity standards. The research employs the ADDIE development model—comprising Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation phases. Validity assessments conducted by two expert validators resulted in scores of 93.75% for the Lesson Plan (RPP) and 87.5% for the Student Worksheet (LKPD), both classified as "very valid." These results indicate that the developed POE-based learning tools are highly suitable for use in science instruction at SMP Negeri 7 Gorontalo. By incorporating the POE model, the tools are designed to enhance students’ conceptual understanding and foster active, inquiry-based learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the Project-Based Learning model on Collaboration and Creativity Skills in XI grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. This research is an experimental quantitative study with a (Nonequivalent Control Group Design). The sample in this study consisted of 20 students. The data analysis technique was complemented by statistical data processing methods. The average pretest score for Collaboration Skills in the experimental class was 37.60, while in the control class it was 35.20. The average pretest score for Creativity Skills in the experimental class was 30.20, and in the control class, it was 28.20. Meanwhile, the average posttest score for Collaboration Skills in the experimental class was 44.25, and in the control class, it was 37.20. The average posttest score for Creativity Skills in the experimental class was 37.05, and in the control class, it was 29.00. These results indicate that there is a significant effect before and after the treatment. Based on the t-test results with a t-table value of 2.086, the influence value for collaboration skills is 2.548 and the influence value for creativity skills is 14.209. In other words, t calculated > t table, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. There is an effect of the Project Based Learning Model on Collaboration and Creativity Skills of Students in the Material of Structure and Function of Plant Tissues in Class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian (Nonequivalent Control Group Design). Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 20 siswa. Teknik analisis data dilengkapi dengan metode pengolahan data statistik. Rata-rata pretest Keterampilan Kolaborasi kelas eksperimen sebesar 37,60 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 35,20. Rata-rata pretest Keterampilan Kreativitas kelas eksperimen sebesar 30,20 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 28,20. Sedangkan rata-rata posttest Keterampilan Kolaborasi kelas eksperimen sebesar 44,25 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 37,20. Sedangkan rata-rata posttest Keterampilan Kreativitas kelas eksperimen sebesar 37,05 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 29,00. Hasil tersebut menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t dengan t tabel yaitu sebesar 2,086, diperoleh nilai pengaruh untuk keterampilan kolaborasi sebesar 2,548 dan nilai pengaruh untuk keterampilan kreativitas sebesar 14,209. Dengan kata lain t hitung > t tabel, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Terdapat Pengaruh Model Project Based Learning terhadap Keterampilan Kolaborasi dan Kreativitas Siswa pada Materi Struktur dan Fungsi Jaringan Tumbuhan Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Kabila.
