Abstract

KEK Sorong dikenal oleh masyarakat sebagai salah satu dermaga khusus penumpang/barang (Kapal Fery), tempat penyebarangan masyarakat yang berdomisili di kampung Arar, dan juga sebagai tempat Wisata bagi masyarakat untuk mandi-mandi serta menikmati suasana pantai. Oleh karena itu, banyaknya kegiatan yang dilakukan di dermaga daerah KEK maka dibutuhkan kegiatan yang dapat menyadarkan masyarakat serta pegawai pelabuhan tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan serta memberikan pemahaman mengenai bahaya yang dihasilkan oleh sampah. Banyaknya aktifitas yang dilakukan di daerah KEK dermaga SP3 Arar membuat tempat tersebut menjadi ramai dan tidak terindar dari perilaku membuang sampah sisa makanan cepat saji maupun limbah plastik lainnya. Hal ini membuat tempat tersebut memerlukan kegiatan yang dapat menyadarkan masyarakat dan pegawai setempat untuk menumbukan rasa perduli teradap lingkungan. Lokasi pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan di lingkungan Kantor Administrator Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Arar dan di lingkungan pantai Dermaga Pelabuhan Fery. Tujuan dilaksanakan pengabdian yaitu untuk membuat masyarakat serta pegawai pelabuan sadar akan pentingnya hidup yang sehat dan pentingnya membuang sampah pada tempatnya untuk menghindari sumber penyakit dan banjir.

Abstract

Damage to coastal ecosystems due to abrasion, land conversion, and environmental pollution is a serious issue that threatens the sustainability of natural resources and the livelihoods of coastal communities. One effective solution to address this problem is the planting of mangroves, which serve as natural protectors of coastlines, habitats for marine life, and carbon sinks. The Community Service Kegiatan (PKM) aims to plant 1000 mangrove trees in the Klawalu Mangrove Tourism Park, Sorong City, as part of efforts to rehabilitate the environment and strengthen community-based ecotourism. This activity is conducted in several stages, namely socialization and education for the surrounding community, mapping and analysis of land conditions, selection and planting of mangrove seedlings, as well as monitoring and evaluation of plant growth. Community participation, especially from fishermen and tourist groups, is the key to the success of this kegiatan. The results of the activity indicate that mangrove planting not only provides ecological benefits, such as reducing erosion and enhancing biodiversity, but also has socio-economic impacts by increasing tourist attraction and environment-based economic opportunities. With this kegiatan, it is hoped that public awareness of the importance of mangrove conservation will increase, and it will also have a long-term impact on the balance of coastal ecosystems. Furthermore, the success of this kegiatan can serve as a model for other regions in implementing ecotourism-based environmental rehabilitation and community empowerment.

Abstract

Developing reflective competence in pre-service teachers is essential for fostering critical and adaptive thinking, yet conventional methods often fall short in promoting deep metacognitive awareness. This quantitative study employed a quasi-experimental design involving 120 education students from two Indonesian universities, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were gathered through pre- and post-tests, observations, and perception questionnaires, and analyzed using ANCOVA. Findings revealed that integrating metacognitive elements into adaptive gamification significantly enhanced students' reflective competence compared to traditional methods.The results suggest that gamification tailored to metacognitive levels can effectively stimulate meaningful reflection. This study contributes to the theory of adaptive, technology-based learning models and offers practical insights for improving reflection-focused teacher education curricula.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi desain berbasis CAD pada siswa Jurusan Teknik Mesin SMK Negeri 8 Pinrang melalui pelatihan yang menerapkan pendekatan project-based learning. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMK 8 Pinrang dengan melibatkan 30 siswa sebagai peserta. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pre-test, post-test, penilaian produk proyek, serta survei kepuasan peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada nilai rata-rata dari 48,2 (pre-test) menjadi 78,8 (post-test). Penilaian produk menunjukkan sebagian besar siswa mampu menghasilkan model CAD dengan kategori baik, sedangkan tingkat kepuasan peserta berada pada kategori tinggi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik langsung efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman teknis dan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam penggunaan perangkat lunak CAD. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan desain digital siswa dan direkomendasikan untuk dilanjutkan dengan sesi pendalaman.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship training is crucial for enhancing students' understanding and motivation in facing the evolving business world. This community service activity aims to strengthen students' entrepreneurial knowledge and motivation through interactive discussions and business practice simulations. The methods used included pre- and post-tests to measure changes in knowledge and motivation among 30 participating students. The results showed a significant improvement in the cognitive aspect, with the average student knowledge score increasing from 3.5 to 8.3. Furthermore, the motivational aspect also experienced a significant increase, from an average of 25.43 to 43.36, indicating a positive impact of the applied learning model. Overall, this training proved effective in improving students' readiness to understand business concepts and fostering an internal drive for entrepreneurship. Therefore, the interactive discussion model is recommended as a strategy for strengthening entrepreneurship in higher education environments, to provide practical experience while simultaneously increasing students' motivation for entrepreneurship.
