Abstract

The low level of independence of students in learning English, this can be seen from the confidence of students in completing English tasks. Therefore, this study aims to determine how the development of independent character through Discovery Learning in English learning Class V at Sdn Sudimara 07 ciledug. The research method used is descriptive qualitative conducted at Sdn Sudimara 07 Ciledug. The instruments used in this research are observation, interview, and documentation. Data collection was done by interviewing each subject. Technical data analysis using data triangulation. Subjects include English teachers and students of Grade V SDN Sudimara 07 ciledug. This research was conducted at Sdn Sudimara 07 Ciledug in semester 1 of the 2024-2025 academic year. The results of this study indicate that the application of Discovery Learning Methods in English learning can increase the independence of students in learning. Students become more active in finding additional information and are able to independently solve their tasks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode Montessori dalam menanamkan karakter tanggung jawab siswa SD Lab School FIP UMJ. Dengan menggunakan metode Montessori, siswa dilatih untuk melakukan sesuatu sendiri dengan arahan dari guru dan orang tua. Di sekolah siswa dilatih untuk melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari secara sadar dan bertanggung jawab. Pengumpulan data menggunakan beberapa teknik yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Beberapa alat yang digunakan dalam kegiatan siswa seperti kancing, tambal sulam, jarum, benang, pensil, gunting. Dalam kegiatan membuat sarapan sendiri, siswa membawa beberapa bahan seperti roti, irisan daging sapi, selada, keju, saus kemasan, mayonaise, dan lain sebagainya. Dengan pembelajaran kegiatan sehari-hari dapat melatih siswa dalam menumbuhkan karakter tanggung jawab. Terdapat 18 karakter namun penelitian ini hanya berfokus pada karakter tanggung jawab. Kesadaran siswa untuk melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari sendiri perlu ditanamkan pada diri siswa secara terus menerus. Karakter tanggung jawab tidak dapat terbentuk dengan sendirinya, melainkan melalui kebiasaan yang dilakukan secara terus menerus atau terus menerus. Mewujudkan karakter tanggung jawab merupakan nilai luhur bagi kehidupan makhluk individu, makhluk sosial yang mengasah karakter tanggung jawab agar berperilaku baik, berbuat baik, dan berakhlak mulia. Tanggung jawab dapat berupa tindakan atau ucapan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah tindakan siswa. Konsekuensinya bagi siswa yang tidak mampu menanamkan karakter tanggung jawab akan mendapat sanksi sosial.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat merupakan salah satu catur dharma dalam Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah, kegiatan ini dilakukan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Pamulang Indah. Bullying menjadi salah satu konsen para pengamat pendidikan baik di tingkat sekolah dasar, maupun perguruan tinggi. Bullying atau perundungan sangat meresahkan semua pihak, meningkatnya kasus perundungan atau bullying seiring berjalannya waktu perlu adanya tindakan khusus dari pihak keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat sekitar. Bullying berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan mental, psikologi, fisik, maupun kemampuan belajar siswa. Para pelaku dan korban bullying perlu mendapatkan pendampingan orangtua, guru, dan psikolog. Edukasi intensif sekolah ramah anak menjadi salah satu wadah untuk menjembatani dan meminimalisir trauma korban bullying. Ada beberapa langkah dalam mencegah perilaku bullying agar tidak terulang kembali dengan melakukan konsultasi, pelatihan, seminar, kegiatan-kegiatan positif lainya agar siswa tidak ada waktu luang yang terbuang sia-sia sehingga diharapkan dapat meminimalisir dan mencegah terjadi perilaku bullying di sekolah.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the formation of a low level of discipline character, because there are still some students who have obstacles, many students are not disciplined in the learning process. Therefore, the implementation of the independent learning curriculum is a solution to form students' disciplined character. This study aims to determine how the implementation of the independent learning curriculum on disciplined character and to determine the inhibiting factors. The research was conducted at SDN Pondok Betung 04, with a qualitative research methodology. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The number of respondents was 6 people consisting of 1 homeroom teacher and 5 students. The data analysis technique was carried out using the triangulation technique (data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions). Based on the results of the study, it was revealed that the implementation of the independent curriculum was carried out with a flexible and student-centered approach. Some of the inhibiting factors are the lack of self-awareness in students regarding disciplined character and the presence of disturbances in the classroom such as not being disciplined when entering the classroom after the ceremony, being lazy to do the picket task, and students not doing assignments on time. The results of this study can be useful for teachers in improving disciplined character.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the Learning Cycle 5E model can enhance elementary students’ critical thinking skills in Indonesian language learning. The research used a quantitative approach with an experimental design of Posttest Only Control Group. The subjects were 60 fourth-grade students from SDN Pondok Labu 02 Jakarta Selatan, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The instrument used was a critical thinking test consisting of four indicators: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. The results showed that the experimental group achieved an average posttest score of 85.09%, while the control group scored 67.50%. The t-test result (tcount = 5.450 > ttable = 1.325, sig = 0.000 < 0.05) indicated a significant effect of the Learning Cycle 5E model. The R Square value of 0.507 suggests that the model contributed about 50.7% to the improvement in students’ critical thinking skills. In conclusion, applying the Learning Cycle 5E model effectively supports students in developing critical and active thinking during Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

The decline in the quality of social interaction among elementary school students has become a critical issue in education. Many students tend to display individualistic behavior, form exclusive groups, and even engage in verbal or physical aggression toward peers. This reflects a weak peace-loving character that should ideally develop from an early age within the school environment. A lack of tolerance, empathy, and skills in resolving conflicts peacefully hinders the creation of a harmonious learning atmosphere. This study aims to examine the influence of peer social interaction on the peace-loving character of fourth-grade students at SDN Kedoya Utara 04. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed. The research sample consisted of 64 students selected through a saturated sampling technique. The research instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire, with the independent variable (X) — peer social interaction — covering aspects of communication, attitudes, and group behavior, and the dependent variable (Y) — peace-loving character — including mutual trust, tolerance, and cooperation. Simple linear regression analysis revealed a significant influence of peer social interaction on peace-loving character, with an F-value of 73.894 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (r²) was 0.544, indicating that peer social interaction contributed 54.4% to the development of peace-loving character, while the remaining 45.6% was influenced by other factors. These findings highlight the importance of prioritizing positive social interaction in elementary school character education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Think Pair Share learning model on the creative thinking abilities of third-grade elementary school students. This study was conducted at Pondok Ranji 02 Public Elementary School, with a sample of 71 students. The main problem in this study is the low ability of students to think creatively in learning and the low ability of students to understand the material. This study uses a quantitative method with a Quasi Experimental Design approach. Data collection techniques in this study use observation, tests and documentation. The average results of the N-Gain Score test in the experimental class increased by 0.647 with a medium category, compared to the control class of 0.158 with a low category. The experimental class has an average post-test score of 82.57 and the control class of 60.28 with a difference in the average value of 22.2. The results of the hypothesis test using the T-Independent test obtained a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 with the decision of Ho rejected and H1 accepted. This shows that there is an influence of the Think Pair Share learning model on the creative thinking abilities of third grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of learning modelsProject Based Learning(PJBL) on the creative character of fifth grade students at SDN Kedoya Utara 04. The background of the research is based on the low creative character of students caused by teacher-centered learning, lack of facilities, and less varied learning models. The PJBL model was chosen because it is considered capable of providing space for students to think creatively through real project-based activities. This research uses a quantitative approach with the methodQuasi Experimental Designand research designPosttest Only Control Group DesignThe research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class using the PJBL model and the control class using the conventional method, each consisting of 30 students. The instrument used was a creative character questionnaire with 23 valid and reliable items. The results of data analysis using the testIndependent Sample T-Testshows that there is a significant difference between the creative character of students in the experimental class and the control class, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a t-count value of 10.150 > t-table 2.001. The average (mean) value of creative character in the experimental class is 84.33, higher than the control class of 67.87. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the modelProject Based Learning(PJBL) has a positive and significant effect on improving the creative character of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The student learning process is not only determined by cognitive abilities, but is also greatly influenced by personality factors, one of which is an independent character. An independent character has an important role in helping students develop selfconfidence in learning. Students who have an independent character tend to be more confident in making decisions, completing tasks without relying on others, and are able to face learning challenges. However, there are still many students who lack independence and are unsure of their own abilities in learning. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of an independent character on selfconfidence in learning in grade III students of SDN Kedoya Utara 04. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The instrument used is a Likert scale questionnaire that covers daily, weekly, and monthly activities. The number of respondents in this study was 64 students. Data analysis was carried out by a simple linear regression test through the F test. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 and F count of 31.824, while F table was 4.03. Because F count > F table and significance < 0.05, then H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Thus, there is a significant influence between independent character and self-confidence in learning of third grade students of SDN Kedoya Utara 04.
