Abstract

A preliminary study in Yogyakarta showed that the graduates’ enthusiasm to enter building construction study program in vocational high school was low. One of the factors affecting the graduates’ enthusiasm was related to the low-level teachers’ efforts in preparing the graduates’ soft skills. This study aimed to identify (1) the integration level of soft skills elements, and (2) the teachers' obstacles to equipping the graduates' soft skills. It was descriptive quantitative research conducted in the study program of building construction at vocational high schools. The results of the study showed: (1) the integration level of communicative ability, integration level of cooperative competence, integration level of motivating ability, integration level of developing etiquette and moral, and integration level of building responsibility were wholly integrated. Then, the integration level of problem-solving ability and integration level of science and technology mastery was mostly integrated; (2) the obstacles included: the students’ ignorance attitude, the lack of collaboration between the students’ parents and the school stakeholders in developing the graduates’ soft skills, the absence of soft skills training and the unsupported school culture. Those obstacles impeded the graduates’ soft skills.

Abstract

Kawasan Bumi Perkemahan Gendungan, yang berada di lokasi Desa Kalibening, Kecamatan Dukun Kabupaten Magelang, Jawa Tengah, merupakan suatu kawasan yang berada di lereng Gunung Merapi. Belum adanya perencanaan sistem drainase yang baik banyak hal yang terjadi pada saat digunakan. Padahal pengelolaan air hujan di Kawasan Bumi Perkemahan Gendungan penting berkaitan dengan kenyamanan penggunaan lahan di saat musim hujan. Dari pertimbangan tersebut, dilakukan evaluasi sistem drainase di area perkemahan sebagai kegiatan pengabdian dari Program Studi Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan. Metode perencanaan sistem drainase di kawasan ini mengacu pada Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum No. 12 Tahun 2014 tentang Penyelenggaraan Sistem Drainase Perkotaan. Total saluran drainase yang dirancang sebanyak tujuh saluran (D1, D2, D3, D4, D5,D6, D7) dengan kebutuhan dimensi bervariasi antara 20cmx20cm sampai 40cm × 40cm. Saluran dirancang dengan bahan batu kali yang dirasa mudah didapat di sekitar kawasan dengan tebal dinding 30 cm. The Gendungan Camping Area, located in Kalibening Village, Dukun District, Magelang Regency, Central Java, is an area on the slopes of Mount Merapi. Without planning a good drainage system, many things can happen when it is used. Rainwater management in the Gendungan Camping Area is important to the comfort of land use during the rainy season. Based on these considerations, an evaluation of the drainage system in the camping area was carried out as a service activity by the Civil Engineering and Planning Department. The drainage system planning method in this area refers to the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 12 of 2014 concerning the Implementation of Urban Drainage Systems. The total number of drainage channels designed is seven channels (D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7) with required dimensions varying between 20 cm x 20 cm to 40cm × 40cm. The channel is designed using river stone, which is easy to find in the area with a wall thickness of 30 cm.

Abstract

Due to limited learning resources and low student grades in the Geomatics course, it is very important to carry out this research to improve the quality of special learning activities in the Geomatics course. This research aims to develop a route analysis learning module based on Google Earth Road Classification. This research uses the Thiagarajan Research and Development (R&D) model, known as 4D design. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire to reveal the validity of the product based on material experts, media experts, and user responses. The result of this research is a product development using a 4D R&D model with stages (1) defining, which refers to needs based on competency in Geomatics subjects, especially in operating the Google Earth application; (2) design, which includes four learning activities on A4 paper size and 12pt Arial font; (3) development, which was completed with validation results from material experts totaling 122 scores with an average of 4.07 (suitable); from media experts, 201 scores with an average of 4.28 (very appropriate); as well as the development stage. user feasibility results of 3666 scores with an average of 4.52 (very feasible); (4) the dissemination stage, which is carried out by distributing learning modules to lecturers in geomatics courses and uploading the products developed to Google Drive to be used as learning media. The implications of this research will provide changes to learning activities, and the existence of learning modules is expected to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The learning model is one of the main factors that need to be considered in the learning process. This study aims to reveal the effect of applying the “EkRenFaTiHa” entrepreneurship learning model in vocational high schools. The research design is quasi-experimental. Determination of the sample using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation, and tests the prerequisite tests carried out are validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, and hypothesis tests. The research location was in class XI at one of the state vocational schools in the Province of DIY. It was agreed with the school that it was not permissible to mention the name of the school, so the research location was named X’s vocational high schools. The results of the hypothesis testing showed that the cognitive value in the experimental class was significant, which was 0.001, where the value was < 0.05. This means that the “EkRenFaTiHa” entrepreneurship learning model can have a significant influence on student learning outcomes in the subject of creative products and entrepreneurship. While the value of product results in the experimental class is still higher than in the control class. The experimental class got an average product value of 75.455, while the control class average product value was 74.773.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the increment of entrepreneurial values in the major of Building Modeling and Information Design Expertise in SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta after using the implementation of the “EkRenFaTiHa” learning model. This study adopted a descriptive quantitative research design, quantitative data will be further expressed descriptively—the questionnaire data using the Likert scale assessment 4 composed of 17 aspects of entrepreneurial values. Two types of data will be obtained which are pre- and post-questionnaire. The data was analyzed by counting the average values from each aspect of entrepreneurial attitudes; then it will be converted into percentages. From this study, it is shown that there is an increase, proven by the rising average value from 17 aspects 83,33% to 85,39%. The lowest and highest range values from pre-treatment are about 75% to 96%, while the values from post-treatment are shown to be about 77% to 96%. Several aspects experienced a significant increase e.g. independent, disciplined, and communicative aspects approximately 5-8% higher than the previous. Meanwhile, risk-taking, action-oriented, hard work, cooperative, responsible, persistent, committed, and inquisitive showed a slight increase of around 1-4% higher. Nonetheless, several sectors are stable with the previous values; for instance, creative, leadership, credible, realistic, innovative, and appreciation of achievement with a range of values from 80% to 96%. From this study, it can be concluded that there is an increment from 11 entrepreneurial values after implementing the “EkRenFaTiHa” learning model, while 6 values remaining show stability; however, the average percentage from the 17 aspects overall displays an increment.

Abstract

This study aims to gain a general understanding of the state of educational infrastructure and learning facilities for creative and entrepreneurial products, as well as a general understanding of the degree of standard compliance and the appropriateness of the curriculum requirements for Vocational High School Modeling Design and Building Information Expertise Competency. This study employed a descriptive and methodology. An analysis of the infrastructure and learning environments for innovative and entrepreneurial products provides information on the degree of standard compliance. An overview of the condition of learning facilities and infrastructure for creative and entrepreneurial products obtains an illustration that the requirements for facilities and infrastructure for creative and entrepreneurial product learning in DPIB expertise competence are in the form of computer graphics, printers, projectors, computer desks, chairs, and Split AC. Computer graphics have a quantity proportion of 83.3% and a quality proportion of 33.3%, meaning that in terms of quantity it is sufficient but in terms of quality it needs to be improved. This causes the computer's ability to run software or applications, such as SketchUp and AutoCad, to be limited. Computer capabilities in the laboratory 1 & 2 can only install old software or output, such as AutoCad 2016 and SketchUp 2016, and unable installing rendering software. which will affect the level of suitability and the level of adequacy of the needs of the DPIB curriculum where the demand for vocational expertise competencies, especially DPIB expertise competencies which are closely related to graphics to realize superior global competitiveness.

Abstract

Keberadaan jalur pejalan kaki saat ini merupakan sebuah kebutuhan pada wilayah perkotaan. Selain berfungsi sebagai elemen pembentuk kota, adanya jalur pejalan kaki juga bertujuan untuk memfasilitasi aktivitas pejalan kaki. Sehingga sudah semestinya jalur pejalan kaki harus memenuhi standar, dilengkapi dengan komponen pendukung dan dapat memberikan keamanan serta kenyamanan bagi penggunanya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada penggal jalan Abu Bakar Ali Yogyakarta dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji kenyamanan jalur pejalan kaki ditinjau dari kondisi fisiknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan mengemukakan data dan fakta di lapangan, kemudian dibandingkan dengan standar/peraturan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum jalur pejalan kaki di area survay belum memenuhi standarisasi. Perlu adanya perbaikan terkait fisik jalur pejalan kaki, penyediaan fasilitas untuk penyandang difable dan penyediaan komponen pendukung jalur pejalan kaki. Selain itu masih ditemui penyalahgunaan jalur pejalan kaki yang digunakan untuk pedagang kaki lima dan parkir.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to: (1) understand and carry out the stages of preparing the learning module for the plumbing and sanitation work practice course; (2) determine the feasibility level of the learning module for the plumbing and sanitation work practice course. This study uses a 4-D model research and development approach which consists of four stages, namely: defining, planning, developing, and disseminating. The results of the module development research are: (1) define, there is no learning module for plumbing and sanitation work practice courses, (2) design, there are sixteen material discussions that are adjusted based on the curriculum and learning outcomes and are composed of learning objectives, material descriptions, summaries. , independent assignments,worksheets; (3) development, the assessment of the material obtained a score of 3.45 in the very appropriate category, the media assessment obtained a score of 3.37 in the appropriate category, and the assessment of the lecturer in charge of the subject received a score of 3.11 in the appropriate category; (4) dissemination, submission of modules to lecturers who are in charge of plumbing and sanitation work practices in the form of hardcopy and softcopy. Keywords: Module, Plumbing, Sanitation, Model 4-D ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) memahami dan melaksanakan cara penyusunan modul pembelajaran mata kuliah praktek kerja plambing dan sanitasi; (2) mengetahui kelayakan modul pembelajaran mata kuliah praktek kerja plambing dan sanitasi. Metodologi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan model 4-D yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: define (pendefinisian), design (perencanaan), develop (pengembangan), disseminate (penyebarluasan). Hasil penelitian pengembangan modul ini adalah: (1) define, belum tersedianya modul pembelajaran pembelajaran mata kuliah praktek kerja plambing dan sanitasi, (2) design, terdapat empat pembahasan materi, modul tersusun dari tujuan pembelajaran, uraian materi, rangkuman, dan soal latihan; (3) development, saran yang didapat adalah (detail materi dilengkapi, komposisi gambar dengan keterangan, dan ilustrasi menggunakan warna kontras dengan latar). Penilaian pada materi memperoleh skor 3,50 kategori sangat layak, penilaian media memperoleh skor 3,02 kategori layak, dan penilaian guru memperoleh skor 3,59 kategori sangat layak; (4) disseminate, penyerahan modul kepada dosen pengampu mata kuliah praktek kerja plambing dan sanitasi berupa softfile dan hardfile.
