Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on practicum learning is enormous. Restrictions on learning activities make it difficult for students to accept lessons. Learning models in distance learning must be adjusted for more optimal learning. The level of effectiveness of learning methods is a measure of the success of the learning process. This study aims to test the performance and effectiveness of smart robot learning media in supporting Self Directed Learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study used ADDIE development procedures and, for effectiveness tests using, pre-experimental research with a model one group pretest-post-test design. The respondents were 32 students majoring in industrial electronics engineering. The data analysis technique in this study uses quantitative description. The learning media used in this study is in the form of smart robot learning media that has been tested for the material's feasibility level and the media's feasibility. The effectiveness of robot learning media obtained a moderate category predicate with an increase in a score of 6.22 and an acquisition value of 0.55. The results of the effectiveness value show that robot learning media can support independent learning in the Robotic System Control subject.

Abstract

Energi terbarukan, khususnya Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS), menjadi salah satu solusi efektif dalam mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap sumber energi fosil yang semakin berkurang dan memiliki dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Dengan memanfaatkan energi matahari yang melimpah, PLTS mampu menyediakan sumber listrik yang lebih ramah lingkungan serta berkontribusi dalam upaya mitigasi perubahan iklim. Selain itu, perkembangan teknologi fotovoltaik yang semakin efisien serta kebijakan pemerintah yang mendukung energi hijau telah mendorong adopsi sistem PLTS di berbagai sektor, termasuk industri. Studi ini berfokus pada analisis efisiensi sistem PLTS on-grid berkapasitas 151 kWp yang diterapkan di PT. Modern Plastik Industri, Cikarang sebagai bagian dari strategi efisiensi energi dan pengurangan biaya operasional listrik. Penelitian ini mencakup berbagai aspek teknis, mulai dari perancangan sistem, pemilihan komponen utama seperti panel surya, inverter, dan sistem perlindungan, hingga simulasi kinerja menggunakan perangkat lunak PVsyst untuk memprediksi potensi produksi listrik secara akurat. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem PLTS ini mampu menghasilkan energi listrik sebesar 222,6 MWh per tahun, dengan Performance Ratio (PR) rata-rata sekitar 82%, yang menandakan efisiensi operasional yang tinggi. Nilai PR yang tinggi mencerminkan minimnya kehilangan energi dalam sistem serta optimalisasi performa dari panel surya dan inverter yang digunakan. Selain itu, analisis data monitoring menunjukkan bahwa PLTS dapat mengurangi ketergantungan pada listrik dari jaringan PLN selama periode siang hari, sehingga membantu menekan biaya listrik dan meningkatkan kemandirian energi industri. Implementasi sistem ini juga memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengurangan emisi karbon dan mendukung transisi menuju energi bersih, sejalan dengan upaya pencapaian target keberlanjutan energi nasional.

Abstract

Desa Semang di Kabupaten Manggarai Barat, Nusa Tenggara Timur, merupakan salah satu wilayah terpencil di Indonesia yang masih menghadapi keterbatasan akses terhadap energi listrik. Kondisi geografis yang menantang dan infrastruktur yang terbatas menyebabkan pasokan energi belum merata, sehingga menghambat pembangunan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, energi terbarukan seperti tenaga surya menjadi solusi potensial karena ketersediaan radiasi matahari yang tinggi sepanjang tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengoptimalkan sistem hybrid berbasis energi terbarukan di Desa Semang dengan pendekatan simulasi menggunakan perangkat lunak HOMER Pro dan PVSyst. Sistem yang dirancang terdiri atas panel surya, baterai, dan generator untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi harian sebesar 216,67 kWh. HOMER Pro digunakan untuk mengevaluasi efisiensi teknis dan ekonomi sistem, sedangkan PVSyst digunakan untuk menganalisis performa teknis sistem fotovoltaik, termasuk Performance Ratio (PR) dengan nilai tahunan sebesar 76,4%. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi HOMER yang ditampilkan pada Tabel 8, konfigurasi sistem PV+Baterai+Genset memberikan hasil paling optimal dengan Net Present Cost (NPC) sebesar 5,13 miliar dan Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) terendah sebesar Rp. 3.991/kWh, serta kebutuhan biaya investasi awal (CAPEX) sebesar 1,83 miliar. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan terintegrasi ini mampu menghasilkan desain sistem energi yang optimal, efisien, dan sesuai dengan kondisi lokal.

Abstract

According to the Central Statistics Agency, the high unemployment rate among vocational school graduates is caused by the mismatch between their technical competencies and professional character with industry needs. Vocational schools aim to prepare graduates with excellent skills and character for the business and industrial world. This study aims to create a teaching factory learning model at SMK 1 Perguruan Cikini using the Research and development method with the 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The study resulted in a 4P+QD teaching factory model, which consisted of divisions such as project sales, PPIC, production, purchasing, quality control, delivery, and after-sales. The model was validated by two expert lecturers, resulting in an average score of 3.54 (“Very Valid”). Evaluations by two productive subject teachers yielded a score of 3.71 (“Very Valid”), while assessments from the teaching factory coordinator and industry practitioners resulted in a score of 3.33 (“Valid”). The model was also tested on students, who evaluated the development of character traits such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, adaptability, and creativity, with an average score of 3.47 (“Valid”). This learning model can serve as a reference for vocational high schools (SMK) seeking to implement production unit-based or teaching factory learning processes.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a learning medium based on the visual programming language Scratch in enhancing tenth-grade students' understanding and learning outcomes of algorithmic concepts at SMAN 32 Jakarta. The study is motivated by the low level of student engagement during the learning process, primarily attributed to monotonous conventional teaching methods, limited student autonomy in learning, and the lack of interactive and engaging instructional media. Notably, supporting infrastructure, such as laboratories and technological devices, is already in place. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, with experimental testing through a Pre-test Post-test, Control Group design. Research instruments included questionnaires and learning outcome tests, with data analyzed using mean difference tests. Based on validation from experts and student feedback, the Scratch-based media was deemed highly feasible. Experimental results revealed a significant improvement in the learning outcomes of the experimental group compared to the control group, with a gain score reaching 72.4% by the second session. These findings indicate that Scratch-based instructional media is both feasible and effective in improving students' comprehension and achievement in algorithmic material. Therefore, it is recommended as a strategic alternative for teaching informatics.

Abstract

Improving patient safety through proper drug management is particularly difficult for the elderly and people with chronic conditions. Due to low levels of health literacy and lack of access to health technology, numerous individuals in Palasari Village, Cibiru District still struggle to adhere to prescription schedules. As a technical solution to aid in appropriate medication administration, this community service research proposes an IoT-based smart medicine box. A community needs analysis, a prototype built on an ESP32 microcontroller, a dose detection sensor, and a notification system using a mobile app were all part of the implementation technique. Residents also participated in training and mentorship sessions. The trial included 27 participants who were evaluated using a Likert scale that measured their level of interest, comprehension, simplicity of use, and effectiveness with respect to the gadget. With an average score of 4.37 out of 5 (87.3%), the results demonstrated a high degree of acceptability, especially when it came to comprehending the gadget, the efficacy of medicine reminders, and the possibility of lowering the risk of medication mistakes. At the community level, this effort proves that basic technology based on the Internet of Things may enhance health literacy, patient safety, and medication adherence.
