Abstract

In this digital era, technology plays a crucial role in education, particularly in the teaching of SocialStudies. This article aims to explore how the utilization of technology in building smart classrooms canenhance the quality of learning in Social Studies subjects. The research employs a descriptive qualitativemethodology, utilizing literature studies and interviews with educators and education experts. Thefindings indicate that the use of technology, such as advanced hardware, educational applications, andthe internet, can enhance student interactivity, broaden access to learning resources, and create moreengaging and compelling learning experiences. By optimally integrating technology, smart classroomscan help students better understand complex Social Studies concepts through more dynamic andinteractive media. This research concludes that technology can be a highly effective tool for enrichingSocial Studies education, and its proper application will positively impact education as a whole

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar kerap mengalami kesulitan, terutama pada materi sistem pencernaan dan pernapasan. Kesulitan tersebut disebabkan oleh pemahaman konseptual yang rendah serta keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang kurang interaktif, sehingga menyebabkan minimnya keterlibatan aktif siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan siswa dalam mempelajari materi IPAS serta menganalisis efektivitas media digital GIMTIK berbasis Project Based Learning (PJBL) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, kreativitas, dan kolaborasi siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dengan melibatkan 30 siswa kelas V sebagai subjek penelitian. Data kuantitatif dikumpulkan melalui tes diagnostik dan angket, sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh dari wawancara dan observasi selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk menghitung persentase dan rata-rata skor pemahaman siswa, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis secara tematik dengan triangulasi untuk memastikan validitas temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 63% siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami urutan proses pencernaan dan fungsi organ pernapasan, terutama pada soal yang membutuhkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Implementasi media digital GIMTIK berbasis PJBL terbukti meningkatkan pemahaman siswa secara signifikan, di mana nilai rata-rata posttest meningkat 18 poin dibandingkan pretest dan 80% siswa berhasil mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Selain itu, media ini juga memfasilitasi peningkatan kreativitas dan kolaborasi siswa melalui kegiatan proyek kelompok yang melibatkan pembuatan produk pembelajaran yang dipresentasikan secara bersama-sama. Data kualitatif mendukung temuan ini dengan menunjukkan respons positif dari siswa dan guru mengenai interaktivitas dan keterlibatan dalam pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, media digital GIMTIK berbasis PJBL efektif dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar IPA serta mendukung pengembangan kreativitas dan kolaborasi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi guru untuk mengimplementasikan media digital interaktif berbasis PJBL dalam pembelajaran IPAS guna meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual dan keterampilan abad 21 siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Civics Education (PKn) plays a strategic role in shaping students' character, particularly in terms of discipline and responsibility, which are currently key requirements for students' social development in the digital age. However, PKn teaching in elementary schools tends to be informative in nature, meaning that students lack direct experience in applying these values. This study aims to describe the implementation of project-based PKn learning as an effort to foster discipline and responsibility among students at SDIT AL Azhar Pekanbaru. The research approach uses a qualitative method with a case study design. Data were collected through learning observations, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of project activities carried out in the PKn learning process. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that project-based civic education learning was able to improve student discipline through time management, commitment to work schedules, and completion of tasks according to deadlines, while responsibility grew through the division of group tasks, completion of individual parts, and active involvement until the final product of the project. In addition, project-based learning fosters motivation, cooperation, and active participation. Thus, this model is effective when applied in civic education learning to strengthen character building among students in elementary school.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development and testing of the use of the Gimkit platform as an interactive evaluation medium in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning to increase learning interest and learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with stages of needs analysis, product design, development, validation, testing, revision, and product refinement. The research subjects included fifth-grade students at Al Azhar 54 Islamic Elementary School in Pekanbaru and their IPAS teachers. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, learning interest questionnaires, and learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test), supplemented by feasibility assessments by experts. The data were analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively, and their effectiveness was reviewed by comparing the results before and after using the product. The results showed that Gimkit can be used as a more interesting alternative for evaluation, encouraging active student involvement and helping teachers carry out more varied assessments. In general, Gimkit-based evaluation media are considered feasible, practical, and effective for application in IPAS learning evaluation in elementary schools, and have the potential to support digital learning innovation in the era of educational transformation.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools, especially in the subject of flat shapes, still faces various problems, including low student understanding of concepts due to abstract presentation of material and lack of use of concrete learning media. This condition causes students to tend to memorize formulas without deeply understanding the meaning of the concept of area. Therefore, learning innovations are needed that can bridge abstract mathematical concepts to make them more concrete and easier to understand, one of which is through the use of Geoboard media. This study aims to determine the effect of using Geoboard media in strengthening the understanding of the concept of flat shapes in fourth-grade elementary school students. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group type. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class, which received learning using Geoboard media, and the control class, which received conventional learning. The research instrument was a test of understanding of the concept of flat shape area that had undergone validity and reliability tests. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential tests in the form of an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the average score for understanding of the concept among students in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class, and there was a significant difference between the two groups. These findings indicate that the use of Geoboard is effective in improving understanding of the concept of flat shape area. Thus, Geoboard is recommended as an alternative mathematics learning medium in elementary schools to support meaningful and student-centered learning.

Abstract

  Tiga cabang utama dalam filsafat ilmu antara lain Fenomenologi, Hermeneutika dan Dekonstruksionisme. Filsafat ilmu mencakup berbagai aspek yang berkaitan dengan aspek pengetahuan, realitas dan pemahaman manusia terhadap dunia. Ketiga cabang ilmu ini memiliki focus dan pendekatan yang berbeda dalam memahami hakikat pengetahuan. Tujuan dari penulisan ini untuk mendalami aspek – aspek dari Fenomenologi, yang berfokus pada pengalaman subjektif dan kesadaran manusia, konsep Hermeneutika berfokus pada penafsiran teks dan konteks social dan Dekonstruksionisme yang berfokus pada membongkar makna dan struktur dalam bahasa serta teks. Dari ketiga pendekatain ini, meskipun berbeda tetapi dapat menggali pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang bagaimana manusia membangun pengetahuan dan makna. Penulis menyarankan agar setiap individu mempertimbangkan pemikiran rasional dalam setiap tindakan untuk mencapai hasil yang lebih baik dan memuaskan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas seni budaya Melayu Riau dengan fokus pada kerajinan tangan dan pantang larang. Kerajinan tangan, seperti tenun, ukiran kayu, dan anyaman, berfungsi sebagai simbol identitas dan kebanggaan masyarakat, serta mencerminkan kearifan lokal. Sementara itu, pantang larang berperan sebagai pedoman moral yang menjaga keharmonisan sosial. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi upaya pelestarian budaya melalui pendidikan dan festival, serta tantangan yang dihadapi, seperti globalisasi dan kurangnya minat generasi muda. Diharapkan, hasil penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya melestarikan seni budaya Melayu Riau di era modern.
