Abstract

Background: Hypercholesterolemia can cause blockages in blood vessels and heart. Not infrequently people with hypercholesterolemia will experience myocardial infarction in the heart which leads to death. Changes in lifestyle are characterized by consuming less fiber-containing foods which have an impact on increasing LDL cholesterol levels in the blood. This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of high fiber consumption patterns on the reduction of cholesterol levels. Method: Literature review from the Google Scholar database, Pubmed published from 2010 to 2020, and manually select articles that are relevant to the research statement and use the keywords high fiber consumption patterns and hypercholesterolemia. Results: From the results of the literature review conducted, it was found that there were 10 related articles that met the criteria. Results: The results of the search are obtained by consuming a high-fiber diet (avocado, guava and dragon fruit, carrots and tomatoes, etc.) which produce nutrients and antioxidants such as anthocyanins, flavonoids, lycopene, PUFA, MUFA, niacin, fiber, vitamin C and phytosterols which can help lower LDL cholesterol levels and increase HDL. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the pattern of consumption of high-fiber foods to decrease cholesterol levels. With a high-fiber consumption pattern, it can bind bile acids and then excreted together with feces, this acid can reduce LDL cholesterol levels.

Abstract

Background: The causes of the birth of Low Birth Weight (LBW) babies vary greatly, many references state that it is related to maternal hypertension, maternal nutritional status, maternal age and the number of previous births the mother has had. This research aims to determine the relationship between factors that influence LBW and the incidence of LBW. Method: This research uses an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The number of research participants was 80 postpartum mothers who were taken using a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using regression logistics. Result: The results of statistical analysis using the logistic regression test showed that there was no significant relationship between nutrition (0.101), age (0.447) and parity (0.681). The results of logistic regression analysis showed pregnancy hypertension (p=0.000). There is a relationship between pregnancy hypertension and low birth weight. Conclusion: The research results showed that pregnancy hypertension is the dominant factor in the incidence of LBW so that during pregnancy it is hoped that pregnant women can control pregnancy hypertension with pharmacological or non-pharmacological therapy.

Abstract

Background: Psychodrama Model Group Activity Therapy is a therapeutic approach that involves the use of dramatic roles in a group so that individuals can feel some relief. Elderly people often feel anxious because they experience changes due to the aging process. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of psychodrama model group activity therapy on anxiety levels in the elderly at UPT PSTW Tulungagung.Method: This research uses a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest type. With purposive sampling technique, a sample of 30 respondents was obtained. Using the Geriatric Anxiety Scale questionnaire instrument. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon statistical test. Results: The results of the research from 30 respondents after carrying out psychodrama model activity therapy showed that there were 2 (6.7%) respondents with severe anxiety, 16 (53.3%) respondents with moderate anxiety, 10 (33.3%) respondents with mild anxiety, and the elderly who did not experience anxiety were 2 (6.7%) respondents. Analysis of the Wilcoxon statistical test showed that the "output" test statistics" results were known to be asymp.sig (2-talled) or the p value was 0.000. Because the value of 0.000 is smaller than <0.05, it can be concluded that the "hypothesis is accepted" which means the provision of therapy Psychodrama model group activities have an influence in reducing anxiety levels in the elderly at UPT PSTW Tulungagung. Conclusion: Anxiety can not only be treated with pharmacological therapy but can also be treated using non-pharmacological therapy. One effective intervention in alleviating anxiety is psychodrama model group activity therapy.
