Abstract

Cultural shifts driven by digital technology have significantly influenced educational processes, including Christian education. First, children in the digital era are exposed to various religious perspectives through digital media, which can affect the formation of their religious identity. Second, the role of Christian education in shaping religious identity has become increasingly complex amid the pluralistic and sometimes contradictory flow of information. This study aims to explore the impact of Christian education on the formation of children's religious identity in the digital era, as well as to identify the emerging challenges and opportunities. Employing a qualitative research method based on case studies and digital media content analysis, this research offers a novel perspective on the effectiveness of Christian educational approaches in the modern context. The findings indicate that Christian education still holds a strong potential in shaping religious identity, but it requires adaptive educational strategies that are more relevant to digital dynamics. The holistic conclusion emphasizes the importance of integrating technology in Christian education to strengthen children's religious identity in the digital era.

Abstract

The digital era requires Christian education to focus not only on spiritual character formation but also on developing essential life skills and entrepreneurial abilities. These skills enable young generations to adapt to global changes and become independent individuals. This research highlights the urgency of designing a holistic Christian education model that aligns with contemporary challenges. Using qualitative methods based on document and literature analysis, this study identifies strategies to optimize Christian education by integrating life skills and entrepreneurship, fostering independence and adaptability among Christian youth. The integrative approach—combining spirituality, life skills, and entrepreneurship in a digital context—is the novelty of this research. The findings suggest that Christian education emphasizing both practical and spiritual competencies can prepare individuals to face workforce challenges while maintaining spiritual integrity. This holistic conclusion emphasizes the synergy between moral education and practical skills as a response to the needs of the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) presents new challenges and opportunities in various fields, including in Christian religious education. This article discusses how Christian Religious Education (PAK) and its curriculum can respond to the dynamics presented by AI technology. This article uses a descriptive qualitative method based on literature and scientific journals. The main sources of this research are taken from various literature and scientific journals that are relevant to the research topic. The main focus lies in the adjustment of learning materials that are relevant to the needs of the times, the formation of Christian ethics in the digital era, and the importance of maintaining spiritual values amidst technological developments. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in PAK still adheres to the principles of Christian ethics and values. Theological understanding of the role of humans, morality, and their relationship with the creator is described in the perspective of Christian ethics towards artificial intelligence (AI). The Role of Humans in the Process of Christian Religious Education related to the application of AI involves deep reflection on the relationship between Bible verses and the implementation of artificial intelligence in religious education. In addition, this article explores the potential use of AI in the learning process, such as through personalization of education and increasing interaction between teachers and students. It is hoped that with proper adaptation, PAK can remain relevant and provide a solid foundation of faith for future generations in facing the challenges of modern technology.
