Abstract

The rapid growth of science and technology in the contemporary era has had a considerable impact on social life, especially among adolescents. Adolescents typically encounter difficulty in controlling their emotions and desires, which can lead to deviant behavior or juvenile delinquency. This study intends to evaluate techniques for reducing juvenile delinquency through the function of the family as the first and foremost social unit in an individual's life. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores numerous literature and related previous study results. The results of the study reveal that open communication, giving affection, establishing moral and religious beliefs, and regular supervision from parents have an essential role in preventing aberrant conduct in teenagers. In addition, significant family involvement in adolescent life might enhance adolescent resilience to harmful environmental impacts. From these findings, it is recommended that families improve the quality of interactions with adolescents and work together with educational institutions and the community in establishing an environment that fosters positive adolescent development.

Abstract

This study aims to identify forms of juvenile delinquency, the role of education in addressing it, and the challenges faced at SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method using interviews with the school principal, guidance counselors, homeroom teachers, and students as informants. The results of the study indicate that common forms of juvenile delinquency at the school include truancy, tardiness, bringing cell phones to class, using coarse language, dating on school grounds, and violating school rules. The school plays a crucial role in addressing delinquency through counseling approaches, moral guidance, positive activities, and collaboration with parents. However, challenges include insufficient family support, limited guidance counselor staff, and low student openness. Therefore, collaboration between schools, families, and the community is essential in fostering positive character development among adolescents.

Abstract

In this case, juvenile delinquency is a social problem and of course has a negative impact, especially on the development of today's young generation. This study refers to juvenile delinquency that occurs especially in rural areas, the case study is precisely in Fadorolau village. This study aims to determine the forms of juvenile delinquency that occur in Fadorolau village and to find out and explore information on what efforts or attempts are made by the community, especially in government, state security and education in overcoming juvenile delinquency and alleviating the impact of juvenile delinquency, especially for young people. For this reason, the method used in the study is a qualitative approach by collecting data through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation to several individuals starting from government, state security and education and also exploring information from teenagers around the village. The conclusion in overcoming juvenile delinquency requires an integrated approach and of course will continue to be sustainable by involving all elements of society.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengolah data statistik kuantitatif yang menjadi bagian penting dalam penyusunan tugas akhir. Mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) FKIP Universitas Nias Semester 6 perlu dibekali keterampilan teknis dalam menggunakan perangkat lunak statistik, salah satunya aplikasi SPSS, agar mampu melakukan analisis data secara tepat dan ilmiah. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam penggunaan SPSS melalui pelatihan langsung yang aplikatif. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri atas lima tahap, yaitu identifikasi kebutuhan, penyusunan materi, pelaksanaan pelatihan, evaluasi, serta penyusunan laporan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara tatap muka dengan pendekatan interaktif, studi kasus, dan praktik langsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep dasar statistik, mengoperasikan SPSS, serta menginterpretasi hasil analisis secara mandiri. Selain itu, kegiatan ini mendorong terbentuknya budaya belajar kolaboratif dan meningkatkan kesiapan mahasiswa dalam menyusun penelitian berbasis data. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan SPSS merupakan strategi yang efektif dan relevan dalam mendukung proses akademik mahasiswa, khususnya dalam menghadapi tantangan literasi data di era digital.

Abstract

Exemplary is a good attitude and morals that exist in a person who can be used as a role model. The study aims to determine the implementation and impact of exemplary Pancasila and citizenship education teachers in improving the character of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 4 Idanogawo. The research method is qualitative research, descriptive approach. Data were collected using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting, reducing, analyzing data and drawing conclusions. The results of the study: first, the implementation of exemplary Pancasila and citizenship education teachers in improving student character is to be a role model through real actions such as honesty, discipline, responsibility and politeness in interacting, so as to have a positive influence on the development of students' attitudes and behavior in everyday life; second, the impact of exemplary implementation of Pancasila and citizenship education teachers for students is an increase in better student attitudes and behavior in the classroom and in the school environment.
