Abstract

Play for early childhood is very important in the development of his personality. Playing for a child is not just filling time, but a medium for children to learn. Every form of play activity in children has a positive value for the development of their personality. However, free play is often the key to unlocking the creative talents that every human being possesses. Playing with children is useful for exploring their world, developing their competence to cope with it, and fostering their creativity. The function of play for early childhood can be used as an intervention that, if implemented properly, whether equipped with tools or without tools, will greatly assist social, emotional, cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development in general, and develop children's creativity.

Abstract

The aim is to assess the effectiveness of traditional hide and seek games in early childhood and elementary school. This study utilizes literature research methods. Play is essential for children, as every child desires to play continuously because it helps them relax and alleviate stress. There are numerous games played outside the home that can enhance children's social and emotional development, such as traditional games like hide and seek. Character values embedded in the traditional game of hide and seek include: a) Religious. Religious values are evident when children pray together before playing. b) Sport sman ship and Honesty. Sport sman shipis demons trate dwhen player sad heret oth eagreed - uponrules and exhibit honesty while being guards. c) Love for the Motherland. Preserving Indonesian culture showcases children's love for the Republic of Indonesia. d) Being friendly/communicative. Communication during a game is crucial to avoid misunderstandings among players. e) Accuracy. Players need to be accurate in finding hiding spots that are challenging for the guards to discover and in determining the rightmomenttotouchthebase.f)Independence and diligencein the game ofhideand seek. g)Democratic. Democratic values are evident when players show respect and consideration for each other despite their differences. h) Responsibility. The value of responsibility is demonstrated by players searching for hiding spots and guards being prepared to find their friends and protect the base. i) Compliance. The value of compliance is observed when all players agree to certain rules before commencing the game

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the relationship between parenting styles and the logical thinking skills of early childhood. The development of logical thinking is part of the cognitive aspect that plays a role in children's ability to solve problems, understand cause-and-effect relationships, and make decisions. This study aims to determine the most effective parenting style in improving children's logical thinking skills. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method and was conducted at the KB Mekar Indah Early Childhood Education Center (PAUD). Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and tests with 15 respondents. The results showed a significant relationship between parenting styles and the logical thinking skills of early childhood. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of authoritative parenting on the independence of children aged 4-5 years. The ex-post facto method was used as the research method, with the population being all parents of TPA Siti Hajar who use authoritative parenting. The sample was determined using a total sampling technique with data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests and simple regression. The results showed that parents use an authoritative parenting style. Respondents always ask their children about their lessons at school (64.08%), listen to their children talk about their school situation (57.00%), and provide encouragement when their children start to be lazy about their homework (66.70%), with a level of independence in the fairly good category, with indicators of self-confidence (65.00%), being able to make their own choices (52.31%), being responsible (50.60%), and being easy to make friends (55.00%). Therefore, the conclusion that can be conveyed is that there is an influence of authoritative parenting on the independence of children aged 4-5 years with a percentage of 46.00%.
