Abstract

Background: The research entitled Representation of Assertive Behavior of Librarians in Resolving User Conflicts in the Film Heartbreak Library is motivated by a library that is inseparable from conflict, such as internal conflicts between libraries and users. Therefore, a librarian must have 2 competencies, namely professional competence and personal competence as an effective mediator in resolving conflicts. The conflict that arises can become a work of film art because it arises from the consequences of social phenomena, experiences, and events. The film Heartbreak Library is a film that is appropriate to the conflict being studied. Purpose: This research aims to represent the assertive behavior of librarians, which is a solution for users and librarians in resolving conflicts. Method: The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which is analyzed through semiotic analysis with the trichotomy triangle proposed by Charles Sanders Peirce. Findings: The results of this research are a representation of librarians' efforts to resolve user conflicts based on the classification of icons, indexes, and symbols. This representation shows that the librarian depicted is a librarian who is professional in carrying out his duties. The librarian in the film Heartbreak Library wholeheartedly provides the best service to users and reflects a librarian who behaves assertively in resolving user conflicts. Users can express their opinions and needs without worry, without reducing the rights or dignity of other individuals, and find solutions to conflicts. Conclusion: It can be concluded that assertive behavior influences user conflict resolution. Apart from that, society's view of the librarian profession can change because it has been represented through a film, which is a medium for conveying moral messages to the audience.Keywords: Librarian Conflict, Assertive Behavior, Librarian Representation ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REPRESENTASI PERILAKU ASERTIF PUSTAKAWAN DALAM PENYELESAIAN KONFLIK PEMUSTAKA PADA FILM HEARTBREAK LIBRARY ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Penelitian yang berjudul Representasi Perilaku Asertif Pustakawan dalam Menyelesaikan Konflik Pemustaka pada Film Heartbreak Library dilatarbelakangi oleh sebuah konflik di perpustakaan. Oleh sebab itu, pustakawan harus memiliki 2 kompetensi, yaitu kompetensi profesional dan kompetensi personal sebagai mediator yang efektif dalam menyelesaikan konflik. Konflik yang timbul dapat menjadi sebuah karya seni film, karena muncul dari akibat fenomena sosial, pengalaman dan peristiwa. Maka, film Heartbreak Library merupakan film yang sesuai dengan konflik yang dikaji. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan perilaku asertif pustakawan yang menjadi solusi bagi pemustaka dan pustakawan dalam menyelesaikan konflik. Metode: Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yaitu kualitatif deskriptif, yang dianalisis melalui analisis semiotika dengan segitiga trikotomi yang dikembangkan Charles Sanders Peirce. Temuan: Hasil penelitian ini adalah representasi upaya pustakawan dalam menyelesaikan konflik pemustaka berdasarkan klasifikasi tanda ikon, indeks dan simbol. Representasi ini menunjukkan pustakawan yang digambarkan merupakan seorang pustakawan yang profesional dalam menjalankan tugas-tugasnya. Pustakawan dalam film Heartbreak Library dengan sepenuh hati memberikan pelayanan terbaik kepada pemustaka dan mencerminkan seorang pustakawan yang berperilaku asertif dalam menyelesaikan konflik pemustaka. Pemustaka dapat mengekspresikan pendapat serta kebutuhan mereka tanpa cemas tanpa mengurangi hak atau martabat individu lain dan menemukan solusi terkait konfliknya. Kesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perilaku asertif berpengaruh pada penyelesaian konflik pemustaka. Selain itu, pandangan masyarakat terhadap profesi pustakawan dapat berubah karena telah direpresentasikan melalui sebuah film yang menjadi media penyampaian pesan moral kepada audiens.Kata Kunci: Konflik Pemustaka, Perilaku Asertif, Representasi Pustakawan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of ethnopedagogical approach-oriented e-modules in early childhood social learning materials on the pedagogical competence of prospective PAUD teacher students. The type of research used was a pre-experiment with a one group pre-test post-test design, involving 38 students as subjects. Data collection was carried out through multiple-choice objective tests in the form of pre-tests (before treatment) and post-tests (after treatment). The results of the analysis showed an average pre-test score of 63.42, and a post-test of 89.21, with an N-gain of 0.73 which is included in the high category. In addition, the percentage of class completion reached 92%. These findings indicate that the use of ethnopedagogical e-modules has proven effective in improving students' pedagogical competence. This e-module not only strengthens pedagogical understanding, but also makes social learning more meaningful and contextual, while supporting the preservation of local culture. Thus, this e-module can be an innovative digital learning media based on local wisdom, and has a positive impact on the professional readiness of students as prospective PAUD teachers.

Abstract

In the Pancasila Education class for fourth grade at SD Negeri 124 Palembang for the 2024/2025 academic year, there is an issue with the low learning outcomes of students regarding the material of Pancasila as a Life Value. During the learning process, students are less active and focused. Therefore, a classroom action research (CAR) was conducted using quantitative methods to address this issue. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on the material of Pancasila as a Life Value through differentiated instruction with a Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. There was an improvement in student learning outcomes after implementing three cycles. In cycle 1, the percentage of student learning outcomes reached 32%, which did not meet the mastery criteria. In cycle 2, the percentage of learning outcomes reached 63%, still not meeting the success criteria. In cycle 3, the percentage of learning outcomes reached 89%, which met the success criteria. The results show a progressive improvement in each cycle, demonstrating that differentiated instruction with the CRT approach can enhance student learning outcomes.
