Abstract

This service aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the socialization of the Business Identification Number (NIB) among micro-entrepreneurs in Indonesia. NIB, as part of the government's efforts to simplify administration and improve legal compliance of business actors, has a crucial role in the development of the micro-business sector. However, many micro-entrepreneurs still do not fully understand the benefits and procedures related to NIB. This research method involves surveys and in-depth interviews with micro-entrepreneurs in several regions to identify their level of understanding of NIB and the obstacles they face in the registration process. In addition, documentation analysis of various socialization programs that have been carried out by government agencies was also carried out. The results of the study indicate that despite significant socialization efforts, there are still gaps in the understanding and implementation of NIB among micro-entrepreneurs. The main obstacles include lack of clear information, complexity of procedures, and limited access to socialization facilities

Abstract

Digital transformation of cultural heritage is a strategic step in preserving and promoting cultural wealth to present and future generations. This study aims to analyze the digitalization efforts of the cultural heritage of the Mataram Kingdom, both in tangible and intangible forms, and to assess its impact on the preservation and increasing accessibility of cultural information. The research method used is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the digitization of artifacts, manuscripts, historical sites, and historical narratives of the Mataram Kingdom has made a significant contribution to building public awareness of the importance of cultural preservation. This initiative also opens up opportunities for the development of culture-based ecotourism through digital media, such as applications, interactive websites, and augmented reality. However, challenges such as limited technology, funding, and human resources are still obstacles that need to be overcome through collaboration between the government, academics, cultural communities, and the private sector. Thus, digital transformation is an important means of maintaining the sustainability of the cultural heritage of the Mataram Kingdom in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of batik as an educational tourism attraction based on local cultural values in Karanganyar Regency, with an emphasis on the involvement of the five key actors in the Penta Helix model—government, academia, business sector, community, and media. Karanganyar possesses rich cultural heritage in the form of batik, which holds significant potential to be developed into an educational tourism destination. However, its current management still faces various challenges. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, using in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies for data collection. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis, referring to destination management theory (Cooper et al., 2008) and the concept of edu-tourism (Bodger, 1998). The results reveal that the management of batik educational tourism in Karanganyar has not yet been systematically integrated. Key issues identified include: (1) limited human resources with adequate competence, (2) conventional tourism practices, (3) lack of innovation in tourism product packaging, (4) insufficient institutional coordination and support, and (5) underdeveloped integration between cultural and educational tourism. While there is a strong commitment to cultural preservation from local communities and participation from business actors, structural support from the government and optimization of the media’s role require further enhancement. The implication of this research emphasizes the need for strengthened cross-sectoral collaboration through the Penta Helix framework, the formulation of specific policies for educational tourism development, as well as innovations in digital promotion and context-based cultural education curricula. This study is expected to serve as a reference for policymakers, tourism practitioners, and future researchers in promoting sustainable educational tourism rooted in local culture.

Abstract

Batik Bakaran is one of Indonesia’s traditional textile arts that holds significant cultural and historical value. Preserving this heritage is not only important for maintaining cultural identity but also for developing cultural-based tourism. This research aims to analyze the strategies implemented to sustain the existence of Batik Bakaran and promote it as a cultural tourism attraction in Bakaran Village, Pati Regency. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the study involved interviews with artisans, local government officials, and tourism stakeholders. The findings indicate that preservation efforts include the development of batik training programs, integration of batik education in schools, and the revitalization of traditional motifs. Meanwhile, promotion strategies focus on branding, digital marketing, and the creation of batik tourism packages. The study concludes that collaborative efforts between artisans, communities, and the government are crucial in ensuring the continuity and economic potential of Batik Bakaran through cultural tourism.

Abstract

Tourism plays a strategic role in supporting regional economic growth, including in Solok City, which has rich natural and cultural tourism potential. However, the optimization of destination management in this city faces several challenges, such as limited human resources, inadequate infrastructure, low community awareness, and insufficient promotion strategies. This study aims to analyze the role of the Tourism Office in optimizing destination management, identify influencing factors, and formulate strategic efforts towards sustainable tourism management. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with stakeholders (government, private sector, community, academia, and media), and document studies. The results show that the Tourism Office of Solok City plays a key role in four main functions: planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation. Programs conducted between 2021 and 2024 include destination development, tourism promotion, human resource capacity building, and cross-sector partnerships. Internal and external factors such as budget constraints, infrastructure limitations, community participation, and destination competitiveness influence management effectiveness. The implementation of Good Governance principles participation, transparency, accountability, and efficiency along with Destination Management approaches, has guided policy and program implementation. However, some aspects, particularly cross-sectoral integration and innovation in tourism promotion, still need improvement. This study concludes that strengthening stakeholder synergy and enhancing institutional capacity are crucial for optimizing sustainable destination management in Solok City

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the development of the heritage tourism destination Taman Sari Yogyakarta. As a cultural site with rich historical and architectural values, Taman Sari has great potential to become a leading historical tourism destination through the application of modern digital technologies. This research is highly relevant in the context of the Society 5.0 era, where digital transformation and multi-stakeholder collaboration through the pentahelix model (government, academia, business sector, community, and media) are key approaches in sustainable tourism governance. The objectives of this research are: (1) to identify the potential of AI application in enhancing the attractiveness of Taman Sari as a heritage tourism site, (2) to analyze the role of local communities in the digital transformation of the destination, and (3) to formulate a structured collaborative strategy for the development of AI based heritage destinations. The research employs a qualitative method using data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants included representatives from government, local communities, academia, tourism businesses, and tourists. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the data and identify patterns and meanings related to stakeholder participation and partnership. The findings indicate that AI can serve as a tool for cultural preservation and enhancement of tourist experiences, through features such as historical chatbots and augmented reality. However, challenges remain, including limited infrastructure, low digital literacy among local communities, and weak inter-stakeholder collaboration. The study also finds that local communities have the potential to act as agents of digital literacy if actively involved in training programs and AI-based tourism management. The research concludes that developing heritage tourism destinations like Taman Sari requires strong synergy among stakeholders through the formation of inclusive digital collaboration forums. AI technology can be a valuable medium for cultural preservation when implemented in a contextual, participatory, and sustainable manner.
