Abstract

The number of visitors to ASB Beach Ecotourism has not sufficiently supported the livelihoods of the MFFG ASB community post-COVID-19 and amidst ongoing coastal abrasion. To address this issue, an initiative is required to enhance the income of MFFG ASB by leveraging local resources, specifically through the processing of fresh fish into crackers. Tamban fish, abundant in the Pantai Labu sub-district, has significant but underutilized economic potential for this purpose. The goal of this community service project is to empower MFFG ASB to increase its income by transferring technology via tamban fish cracker-making training. This training, held on August 5, 2024, featured trainers from the Marine Service and included 15 participants, along with lecturers, Marine Service staff, students, and MFFG ASB members. The training resulted in the production of savory and delicious crackers, although there remain areas for improvement, particularly concerning the moisture content of the final product. It is anticipated that this initiative will not only enhance the viability of MFFG ASB in managing ASB Beach Ecotourism but also contribute positively to the local economy and community well-being in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to test and analyzeThe Green Construction Model in the Construction Industry to Support a Sustainable Green Economy. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative research method. This research also includes quantitative research that is correlational in nature. The population in this research is the Medan City construction management company. The sample in this research was construction projects in the city of Medan which were taken using a random sampling method with the acquisition of 50 construction projects in the city of Medan. This study consists of independent variables namelygreen constructionwhile the dependent variable isgreeneconomyas well asgreen social workas a moderating variable. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis, variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis (Partial Least Square). The research results show that the implementation of green construction in construction companies in Medan City has an impact of 72.6% on achieving a sustainable green economy. with the involvement of social workers (Green social work) gives an increase of 18.4%. This increase can be achieved due to the various roles carried out by social workers in efforts to preserve the environment as well as with the aim of sustainable social welfare, one of which is as a facilitator, educator, motivator, mediator and initiator in environmental conservation.

Abstract

The growing pressure on water resources from urbanization, industrialization, and climate change demands an integrated and sustainable approach to water and waste management. This study explores the relationship between human dimensions, technology, and institutional governance in improving the effectiveness of sustainable water and waste management systems. The research addresses the limited studies that combine Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices, smart technology adoption, and adaptive institutional models such as Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) within one conceptual framework. This study develops an integrated conceptual model that explains the triadic relationship between green human resources as an enabler, digital technology as a driver, and collaborative governance as a bridge to effective water and waste systems. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by PRISMA 2020 was conducted using thematic synthesis and bibliometric analysis to identify trends, dominant theories, and relationships among key variables. The findings show that effective water and waste management depends not only on technological innovations such as AI, IoT, smart sensors, big data, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), but also on human readiness and institutional capacity. GHRM practices green recruitment, environmental training, and sustainability-based performance appraisals enhance technological adoption and promote an eco-conscious culture. Moreover, the expansion of IWRM into “IWRM extended to waste” emphasizes cross-sector collaboration and community engagement. Sustainable water and waste management can thus be achieved through synergy among humans, technology, and governance within an adaptive socio-technical system.
