Abstract

The concept of restorative justice is being explored as an alternative approach to resolving conservation violations caused by ignorance, as demonstrated in the I Nyoman Sukena case in Indonesia. This research aims to examine the potential of restorative justice to deal with such cases more humanely and effectively. A normative juridical method was used, focusing on legal regulations and case analysis relating to wildlife conservation. The results show that restorative justice, which emphasizes dialogue and education, can prevent recurrence and foster public awareness of protected species without imposing strict criminal sanctions. This approach, which is in line with Indonesian values, can reduce the burden on the judiciary and support conservation goals.

Abstract

Education plays a vital role in shaping students character, skills, and mindset. However, primary schools often face challenges due to monotonous, teacher-centered methods that reduce motivation and participation. This article presents the Educational Advocacy Program implemented through the Community Service Program (KKN “ORDA MITRA PEMDA”) of Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University Bandung, conducted in Gunungkuning Village, Majalengka, from July 20 to August 25, 2025. Using the SISDAMAS model with four cycles socialization, social mapping, participatory planning, and program implementation with evaluation the program involved 4th to 6th grade students at SDN Gunungkuning. Activities included demonstrations, ice breaking, interactive discussions, simple experiments, and bullying advocacy. The results show improved student enthusiasm, active engagement, and better understanding of lessons through interactive and digital-based learning. Teachers also enhanced their ability to design varied, engaging lessons and manage classrooms effectively. In addition, bullying advocacy raised awareness of building a safe and respectful school environment. The program demonstrates that educational advocacy can serve as an effective and innovative model for improving teaching and learning quality in rural primary schools.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has driven the advancement of the gaming industry in Indonesia, including the emergence of local games such as DreadOut by Digital Happiness, which has gained international recognition. However, this success is accompanied by serious challenges in the form of piracy through illegal websites that harm copyright holders. This study aims to analyze the legal protection of the game DreadOut against piracy practices based on Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright. The method used is a normative juridical approach through statutory analysis and literature study. The findings show that DreadOut is a copyrighted work categorized as a video game and is legally protected. Nevertheless, law enforcement against piracy still faces various obstacles, such as the complaint-based offense system, low public awareness, and the ease of access to piracy sites. Therefore, stronger inter-agency cooperation, policy reforms to shift complaint-based offenses into ordinary offenses, and public education to increase respect for intellectual property rights are needed. Effective legal protection will support the growth of the local gaming industry and ensure the sustainability of Indonesian creative works in the digital era.
