Abstract

This study aims to examine the correlation between PGSD students' perception (X) of self-efficacy (Y1) and understanding of science (Y2). The problem with this study arises because it is not clear whether students' perception of science learning has an effect on their self-efficacy and conceptual understanding, even though their average comprehension score is quite good (Mean = 71.19). This study uses a correlational quantitative approach involving 21 PGSD UPY students. Perceptions were measured using a questionnaire that had been tested for reliability (α = 0.712), Self-efficacy is measured with its own instruments (α = 0.740), meanwhile, scientific understanding is measured through tests validated through the validity of the content by experts. Data normality test (Shapiro-Wilk, p > 0.05) indicates the data is normally distributed, so Pearson correlation analysis is used. The results showed a significant positive correlation between perception and self-efficacy (r = 0.827; p < 0.01), however, no significant relationship was found between perception and understanding of science (0.297), and between self-efficacy and understanding of science (0.220). These findings indicate that students' positive perceptions are related to self-efficacy, but do not directly affect the conceptual understanding of science.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of problem-based differentiated learning on the critical thinking skills of 5th-grade students at Muhammadiyah Suronatan Elementary School, a private elementary school in Yogyakarta. The study is quantitative, involving a sample of 28 students from the experimental class and 28 students from the control class. Data was collected using observation sheets and pretest-posttest questions. The data analysis included descriptive analysis and inferential analysis, specifically data normality testing, homogeneity testing, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate a significant relationship between problem-based differentiated learning and critical thinking skills. The t-test results show a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.00, which is less than 0.05, with an average student graduation rate of 86%. These results suggest that implementing problem-based differentiated learning can be an effective strategy for enhancing critical thinking skills among elementary school students. Consequently, educational institutions should consider integrating this approach into their curricula to foster better critical thinking skills in their students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi Peraturan Menteri Dalam Negeri No. 4 Tahun 2010 tentang pedoman PATEN terhadap pelaksanaan PATEN di Kecamatan Tanjung Raja. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Aspek atau fokus penelitian ini adalah implementasi Peraturan Menteri Dalam Negeri No. 4 Tahun 2010 Tentang Pedoman PATEN di Kecamatan Tanjung Raja. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan jenis data kualitatif dari sumber primer dan sekunder. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa implementasi Peraturan Menteri Dalam Negeri No. 4 Tahun 2010 tentang pedoman PATEN di Kecamatan Tanjung Raja, telah memenuhi empat variabel pengukuran efektivitas implementasi suatu kebijakan publik menurut Teori George C. Edward III tersebut. Keempat variabel dimaksud antara lain komunikasi, sumberdaya, disposisi atau sikap kecenderungan, dan struktur birokrasi.
