Abstract

Environmental Physics concepts are very likely to be explored to facilitate the cultivation of spiritual attitudes because they are closely related to phenomena in everyday life. Visual media can help visualize environmental phenomena so that they are easier to understand. This study aims to instill spiritual values through the concept of Environmental Physics as an alternative learning that focuses on the affective domain with the help of visual media. This study involved 15 science education postgraduate students. This research used a Pre-experimental design with a Shoot Case Study. The research design includes pre-experiment, experiment, and analysis of experimental data results. In the pre-experiment stage, the concept of environmental physics and spiritual attitudes were analyzed, learning tools were prepared, and questionnaire instruments for student perceptions related to the cultivation of spiritual values were prepared. At the experimental stage, the implementation of Environmental Physics learning integrated with spiritual values was carried out. In the post-experiment stage, data analysis and interpretation were carried out to answer research problems. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that 92.15% of respondents strongly agree that learning environmental physics can instill awareness of the nature of God. Based on the results of the open-ended questionnaire, it is known that students can explain the content of spiritual values in various phenomena in the environment. In addition, students stated that visual media can facilitate the activity of instilling awareness that God is omnipotent over all the universe. Thus it can be concluded that environmental physics learning activities can instil spiritual attitudes through environmental physics content assisted by visual media. Science content, especially environmental physics, is very relevant in instilling spiritual values

Abstract

The present study was carried out to produce a product in the form of e-module guidelines of basic physics practicum developed using the SIGIL application to practice students' science process skills during the covid-19 pandemic. This research-based paper was conducted through ADDIE model, which consisted of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. In the analysis phase, a needs analysis of questionnaire was conducted to determine the need for e-modules for practitioners and practicum assistants. During the design stage, a preliminary design is made in the form of the structure or content of the e-module, practicum titles, and their layout. Furthermore, in the development stage, the e-module has been developed using the SIGIL application by inserting a practical tutorial video based on a scientific approach and has been assessed with an average score of 3.82 considered Very Good. The implementation was carried out by giving the developed e-module to 20 students who took the basic physics practicum course. After using e-modules for 4 practicum titles, students are given a posttest of science process skills. Based on the posttest results, students received an average score of science process skills of 83.94 considered Skilled category. In addition to data on the score of science process skills, at this stage data on student responses to e-modules were also obtained using responses from questionnaires. The results disclosed that the developed e-module addressed a positive perception with an average response score of 89 considered Very Good. In the last evaluation stage, it was therefore argued that the e-module of basic physics practicum using SIGIL application was concluded appropriate to use on practicing students' science process skills during the Covid-19 pandemic. Keywords: e-module guidelines, basic physics practicum, science process skills.

Abstract

This study investigated the utilization of tobacco stem waste as a green precursor for the synthesis of GO, C-Dots, and GO/C-Dots composites with 1:1 and 1:3 ratios through oven drying methods and liquid sonication exfoliation (LSE). Characterization techniques, including UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy, XRD, FTIR spectroscopy, SEM, PL, and TRPL, were used to evaluate the synthesized materials. The GO/C-Dots composites exhibited an energy band that classifies them as organic semiconductors. XRD analysis showed a change in crystallinity and indicated an increase in C-Dots content. FTIR analysis showed a shift in functional groups at 1:1 to 1:3 ratios that showed an inverse trend. SEM analysis showed that the addition of C-Dots significantly affected the surface morphology and elemental composition of GO. TRPL test showed consistent results with the trend of PL intensity where C-Dots had the highest value and GO the lowest. This finding highlights the potential of GO/C-Dots composites as sustainable materials, with further exploration needed to assess their applications in various fields such as optoelectronics, catalysis, and environmental science.
