Abstract

Abrasi merupakan proses alami berupa pengikisan tanah di daerah pantai yang disebabkan oleh gelombang dan arus laut yang merusak, kadang disebut juga erosi pantai. Kerusakan pantai tersebut salah satunya dapat disebabkan oleh terganggunya keseimbangan alam wilayah pesisir. Keausan umumnya disebabkan oleh fenomena alam, tetapi banyak tindakan manusia juga berkontribusi terhadap keausan pantai. Secara sederhana, abrasi adalah pengikisan wilayah pesisir oleh gelombang dan arus yang merusak. Adapun akibat yang ditimbulkan abrasi yaitu penyusutan garis atau area pantai, kerusakan hutan mangrove, permasalahan sampah dan pergeseran mata pencaharian masyarakat sekitar. Dibalik akibat yang ditimbul, ada beberapa hal yang dapat dilakukan dalam mitigasi (upaya) pencegahan dan pengurangan resiko abrasi. Mitigasi terbagi menjadi mitigasi struktural dan mitigasi non-struktural, untuk mitigasi struktural contohnya yaitu penanaman hutan mangrove dan membangun pemecah gelombang dan mitigasi non-struktural menekankan pada aspek perencanaan guna lahan, insentif pemerintah, pelatihan dan pendidikan bagi masyarakat, kesadaran publik. Upaya tersebut tentunya dapat dilakukan oleh pemerintah dan masyarakat sekitar. Termasuk warga sekolah yang berada di pesisir pantai. Guru dapat memberikan pembelajaran mitigasi bencana abrasi dengn mengintegrasikannya kedalam materi Gelombang fisika kelas XI.

Abstract

Physics is a science that involves high curiosity about natural phenomena which are then solved using scientific methods. The learning program is designed to improve scientific reasoning skills, one of which is by using the Phenomena Based-Interactive Conceptual Instruction (PB-ICI) learning model. This research aims to implement the Phenomena Based-Interactive Conceptual Instruction (PB-ICI) learning model to improve students' scientific reasoning through IPBA courses. This research uses quasi-experiment, including pre-experimental, experimental and experimental data analysis stages. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that student reasoning is spread across the categories of inductive-deductive reasoning at 30%), reasoning with evidence at 33%, reasoning with data at 33%, no reasoning at 3%, and undefined at 0%. The effectiveness of IPBA learning in instilling scientific reasoning is in the medium category with a distribution percentage of 63%. Based on these results, it can be interpreted that students have been able to organize various knowledge in the form of concepts, theories, laws, principles as well as data and facts to explain earth and space phenomena comprehensively. It can be concluded that IPBA learning using the PB-ICI model can train reasoning skills. After learning activities, 63% of the total students had reasoning in the categories of inductive-deductive reasoning and reasoning with evidence.

Abstract

Bengkulu University is located in the coastal area precisely in Muara Bangka Hulu sub-district of Bengkulu City, which is one of the sub-districts bordering the coastline. Areas or regions bordering the coastline have a higher level of tsunami hazard compared to areas or regions far from the coastline. The marking of the evacuation point area in the Bengkulu University environment has not adjusted to the disaster mitigation parameters. The purpose of this research is to analyse and map the tsunami hazard class at Bengkulu University in a preventive mitigation effort as well as a consideration for future policies. Primary data measurements used Geodetic GPS devices and were analysed using GAMIT and GLOBK 10.6 software. While secondary data obtained from geospatial information agencies and DEMNAS were analysed using arcgis software. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the environment of Bengkulu University as a whole has 3 classes of hazard zones including high hazard class, medium hazard class, and low hazard class.

Abstract

Learning programmes need to be designed to provide cognitive aspects, especially critical thinking skills with indikators and aspects of spiritual attitudes in the learning process. This study aims to apply the Phenomena Based-Interactive Conceptual Instruction (PB-ICI) lecture model to equip critical thinking skills and instil spiritual values through science learning. This research uses a quasi-experiment. The results showed that the average pre-test score of critical thinking skills was 43.45 in the low category, the average post-test score was 79.48 in the high category and the average N-gain was 0.64 in the medium category. The results of the analysis of the cultivation of spiritual values show that PB-ICI learning can instil spiritual values related to the nature of divinity with an average response score of 88. Thus it is concluded that PB-ICI learning can improve critical thinking, instil spiritual values and get a very good response after PB-ICI learning implementation activities.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diselenggarakan di SMP IT Khoirul Ummah Rejang Lebong. Jika dilihat berdasarkan tata kelola gedung, SMP IT Khoirul Ummah belum memiliki gedung laboratorium namun memiliki lahan kosong yang cukup luas dan berpotensi dalam mengembangkan taman tanaman obat keluarga sebagai sumber bahan belajar bagi siswa. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyampaian materi, sesi diskusi, demonstrasi pembuatan simplisia serta uji larutan asam basa, dan penanaman bunga telang sebagai pendidikan konservasi. Hasilnya yaitu terciptanya kebun tanaman obat keluarga yang dapat dimanfaatkan serta dikelola lebih baik oleh warga SMP IT Khoirul Ummah. Selain itu juga peserta pengabdian masyarakat ini khususnya warga SMP IT Khoirul Ummah memperoleh pengetahuan baru serta wawasan mengenai manfaat tanaman obat di sekitar untuk dijadikan sebagai obat pendamping keluarga.

Abstract

Environmental Physics concepts are very likely to be explored to facilitate the cultivation of spiritual attitudes because they are closely related to phenomena in everyday life. Visual media can help visualize environmental phenomena so that they are easier to understand. This study aims to instill spiritual values through the concept of Environmental Physics as an alternative learning that focuses on the affective domain with the help of visual media. This study involved 15 science education postgraduate students. This research used a Pre-experimental design with a Shoot Case Study. The research design includes pre-experiment, experiment, and analysis of experimental data results. In the pre-experiment stage, the concept of environmental physics and spiritual attitudes were analyzed, learning tools were prepared, and questionnaire instruments for student perceptions related to the cultivation of spiritual values were prepared. At the experimental stage, the implementation of Environmental Physics learning integrated with spiritual values was carried out. In the post-experiment stage, data analysis and interpretation were carried out to answer research problems. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that 92.15% of respondents strongly agree that learning environmental physics can instill awareness of the nature of God. Based on the results of the open-ended questionnaire, it is known that students can explain the content of spiritual values in various phenomena in the environment. In addition, students stated that visual media can facilitate the activity of instilling awareness that God is omnipotent over all the universe. Thus it can be concluded that environmental physics learning activities can instil spiritual attitudes through environmental physics content assisted by visual media. Science content, especially environmental physics, is very relevant in instilling spiritual values
