Abstract

The purpose of this research is to (1) analyze the effect of shallot consumption, shallot production, chili prices, and the exchange rate in shallot prices in Indonesia, (2) to analyze the most influential variables in shallot prices in Indonesia in 1999-2019. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with secondary data for a period of 21 years, 1999-2019. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis, and elasticity test. Based on the results of the study, (1) the results of multiple linear regression of chili production and price variables had a significant positive effect on the price of shallots in Indonesia in 1999-2019. Meanwhile, the shallot consumption variable and the exchange rate have no significant effect on the price of shallots in Indonesia in 1999-2019. (2) The value of chili is the most influential variable in the price of shallots in Indonesia in 1999-2019. The implication of this research is that the government is expected to be able to maintain the stability of the price of shallots and chili prices so that the prices of shallots and chilies in the country are more stable. In addition, the government is expected to improve the performance of post-harvest technology, more efficient cultivation technology or the shallot processing industry and government policies in an effort to protect producers.

Abstract

(6) Koefisien variabel ECT sebesar -0,044 menunjukkan penyesuaian keseimbangan jangka pendek menuju jangka panjang selama 22,7 bulan.

Abstract

Selanjutnya, penguasaan industri perbankan Indonesia belum merata. Kemudian Average Funding Rate, Price of Personnel Expense, Price of Capital Expenditure, dan Loan to Total Aset secara positif dan signifikan mempengaruhi Total Revenue.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the influence of beef prices, substitute goods prices (mutton and chicken meat), complementary goods prices (chicken eggs and rice), and per capita income on the demand for beef in Indonesia. Additionally, it seeks to assess the elasticity of beef demand within the country. Employing multiple linear regression analysis on secondary data collected over a 30-year period (1990-2022), the results reveal that: (1) The variables—beef price, mutton price, chicken meat price, chicken egg price, rice price, and per capita income—significantly affect the demand for beef in Indonesia. Specifically, the price of chicken eggs exhibits a significant negative effect, while per capita income shows a significant positive effect on beef demand. (2) The cross-price elasticity of demand between beef and chicken meat is -0.09, indicating inelasticity, and the income elasticity of demand is 0.52, also indicating inelasticity.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of regional spillover effects on economic growth in Central Java’s regencies and cities, focusing on Knowledge Spillover, Industry Spillover, Private Investment Spillover, and Government Expenditure Spillover using a spatial econometrics panel model. The results indicate significant effects on local economic growth; however, direct spillover effects, which are represented by the variable Wx in the Spatial Durbin Model (SDM), were not significant. This may be due to limited resource mobility, varying regional absorption capacities, and temporal dynamics. Direct spillover effects typically involve immediate economic interactions between neighboring regions, but in this study, these effects did not materialize as expected. Conversely, indirect spillover effects, reflected by spatial parameters ρ in the Spatial Autoregressive Model (SAR) and λ in the Spatial Error Model (SEM), highlight the importance of broader spatial dynamics across regions. These effects underscore the significance of interregional linkages rather than direct regional interactions, showing that regional synergies play a crucial role in fostering economic growth. From a policy perspective, the study recommends strengthening interregional cooperation by enhancing mechanisms such as information flow, technology transfer, and investment. Investment in digital infrastructure, the creation of innovation hubs, and cross-regional investment funds can help bridge the development gap and foster sustainable growth. Policies that support labor mobility and skill-building opportunities, especially for marginalized groups and women, are essential to promote equitable and inclusive economic development across regions

Abstract

Since the reform era 1999, Indonesia has made a regional proliferation policy and widespread fiscal decentralization policy. Based on the Leviathan hypothesis, the two policies should create a competitive climate and increase the efficiency of government spending. This study aims to analyze the Leviathan hypothesis in Indonesia's regional proliferation policy and fiscal decentralization. The study uses panel data regression from 32 provinces during the 2002-2020 period. The study finds that the Leviathan hypothesis does not apply to Indonesia's regional proliferation and fiscal decentralization policies. Fiscal decentralization and government fragmentation apparently cannot constrain local government size. They have a significant positive effect on increasing it. The results of this study imply that to obtain tangible benefits from regional expansion, a thorough understanding of regional economic potential is needed, as well as the need to improve the quality of human resources to utilize regional potentials optimally.
