Abstract

This abstract examines the concept of submission reflected in the term mukhbitīn in the Qur’an using a Maudū’ī (thematic) exegesis approach. The main focus of this research is to explore the profound meaning of submission in physical, mental, and spiritual aspects, which is reflected in the attitude of humility and total acceptance of Allah’s will. The methods used include the analysis of verses related to mukhbitīn and their application in the daily lives of Muslims, both in ritual worship and social life. A semantic approach and the theory of antisinonymy are employed to understand the different meanings of similar terms in the Qur’an, such as muslimīn and qānitīn, in order to provide a deeper understanding. The results of the study show that submission in the Qur’an is not only reflected in physical worship but also in profound mental and spiritual attitudes, involving a balance between faith, righteous deeds, and humility. This research concludes that true submission to Allah has a significant impact on both the personal and social lives of Muslims, strengthening their faith and helping them achieve happiness in both this world and the Hereafter.

Abstract

This article examines the use of the istifhām phrase Mā Khaṭbu in the Qur'an. This phrase consists of the word “mā,” which means “what,” and “khaṭb,” which refers to a major event or important matter. The method used is a qualitative approach with thematic analysis of the verses containing the phrase Mā Khaṭbu. The results of the study indicate that the phrase Mā Khaṭbu serves more than just a question to obtain an answer. This phrase is used as a rhetorical tool aimed at arousing the moral and spiritual awareness of readers, as well as encouraging deep reflection and introspection. Additionally, this phrase also functions as social criticism and satire toward certain attitudes or conditions that require attention. Academically, this research contributes to the study of balaghah, tafsir, and Qur’anic linguistics. This research also enriches understanding of the use of rhetorical questions as a spiritual educational method that can shape the inner consciousness of Muslims.

Abstract

The science of Rasm Al-Qur'an is a discipline that discusses the rules of writing the Qur'an that were established during the time of Uthman bin Affan, known as Rasm Utsmani. These rules have been a guideline in writing and reading the Qur'anic manuscripts for centuries, maintaining the integrity of the Qur'anic text. In recent decades, technological developments have brought significant changes in the science of the Qur'an and its interpretation. Digitization and technology have revolutionized the way the Qur'anic manuscripts are written, reproduced, and distributed, making it easier to learn Rasm Al-Qur'an without time limits. This study aims to analyze the development of the science of Rasm Al-Qur'an in the modern era, both theoretically and practically, and to see how this science adapts to technological advances and the needs of contemporary Muslims. The method used is library research, which collects and analyzes data from various sources. The results of this study indicate that digitization not only facilitates ancient manuscripts and standardization of the Qur'anic text. The digital Al-Quran application offers various features that enrich the learning experience, increase people's understanding and interest in studying the science of Rasm Al-Quran.
