Abstract

Community Service Activity (PkM) with the theme of Socialization of the Deep Learning Learning Model was held by the Elementary School Physical Education Study Program (PJSD) FIKK UNY at the Faculty of Sports Science (FKOR) at Sebelas Maret University (UNS). The background of this activity is the importance of introducing the deep learning approach in PJOK education to shift the learning orientation from mere memorization toward deeper, critical, and meaningful understanding. The activity was conducted through socialization and interactive discussions with fourth-semester students of the Physical Education Program at FKOR UNS. The socialization focused on understanding the concept of deep learning, its application in physical education learning, and joint reflection on the potential and challenges of its implementation in elementary schools. The results of the activity showed that participants exhibited high enthusiasm and were able to grasp the essence of deep learning as an approach emphasizing the interconnectedness of concepts, the development of critical thinking skills, and the engagement of affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. The discussions confirmed that this model is relevant for application in active, contextual, and meaningful PJOK learning. In conclusion, this socialization activity proceeded smoothly, was communicative, and made a positive contribution to enhancing the knowledge and readiness of prospective PJOK educators. The deep learning approach has the potential to serve as a foundation for cultivating innovative, reflective, and adaptive physical education teachers who can meet the needs of future generations.Abstrak. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) dengan tema Sosialisasi Model Pembelajaran Deep Learning dilaksanakan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Jasmani Sekolah Dasar (PJSD) FIKK UNY di Fakultas Keolahragaan (FKOR) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah pentingnya memperkenalkan pendekatan deep learning dalam pembelajaran PJOK guna menggeser orientasi belajar dari sekadar hafalan menuju pemahaman yang lebih mendalam, kritis, dan bermakna. Metode kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi dan diskusi interaktif dengan peserta mahasiswa semester 4 Program Studi Pendidikan Jasmani FKOR UNS. Sosialisasi difokuskan pada pemahaman konsep deep learning, penerapan dalam pembelajaran PJOK, serta refleksi bersama mengenai potensi dan tantangan implementasinya di sekolah dasar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memiliki antusiasme tinggi dan mampu memahami esensi deep learning sebagai pendekatan yang menekankan keterhubungan antar konsep, pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis, serta keterlibatan afektif, kognitif, dan psikomotor. Diskusi yang muncul menegaskan bahwa model ini relevan untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran PJOK yang aktif, kontekstual, dan bermakna. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan sosialisasi ini berjalan lancar, komunikatif, serta memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan wawasan dan kesiapan calon pendidik PJOK. Pendekatan deep learning berpotensi menjadi pijakan dalam mencetak guru pendidikan jasmani yang inovatif, reflektif, dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan generasi mendatang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model permainan untuk mengembangkan gerak dasar manipulatif dan kerjasama secara bersama-sama bagi peserta didi SD yang telah disesuaikan dengan kurikulum serta karakteristik siswa SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian dan pengembangan 4D, 4D merupakan kepanjangan dari Define, Design, Development, Dissemination. Define. Uji coba skala kecil dilakukan di SD N 3 Bantul. Uji coba skala besar dilakukan di SD Muh serut dan SD N 1 Bantul. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah pedoman pengamatan (observasi), catatan lapangan, lembar evaluasi, angket skala nilai validasi dan rubrik penilaian. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan empat macam model permainan yakni: (1) permainan boltik, (2) permainan tembakan api, (3) permainan meningjau, (4) permainan ular emas. Model permainan disusun dalam bentuk buku pedoman berjudul Model permainan untuk mengembangkan gerak dasar manipulatif dan kerjasama peserta didik sekolah dasar kelas bawah. Berdasarkan penilaian para ahli materi dan guru dapat disimpulkan bahwa model permainan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan gerak dasar manipulatif sesuai dengan kurikulum dan karakteristik SD. Selain itu, model permainan ini dapat mengembangkan kemampuan kerjasama peserta didik sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran SD.

Abstract

Research Background: The deep learning approach has the potential to improve the quality of physical education learning in elementary schools by strengthening deep understanding, critical thinking skills, and meaningful learning experiences. However, teachers' knowledge of this approach in the Special Region of Yogyakarta is still unknown. Research Objectives: This study aims to analyze teachers' understanding of deep learning and its implications for improving the quality of physical education learning in elementary schools. Method: This study uses a mixed methods approach with subjects being elementary school physical education teachers who are members of the KKG in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with 30 teachers as respondents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The instruments used were a 15-item questionnaire, interview guidelines, and supporting documents. The ethical procedures included informed consent, assurance of respondent confidentiality, and the use of data for academic purposes only. Results: Based on the questionnaire, 33.3% of teachers strongly agreed, 40% agreed, 16.7% were unsure, 6.7% disagreed, and 3.3% strongly disagreed with the application of deep learning in PJOK learning. Overall, 73.3% of teachers agreed or strongly agreed, indicating a high level of acceptance of this approach. Conclusion: Many elementary school teachers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta responded positively to the application of deep learning in PE learning. This approach is considered capable of improving the quality of learning, despite obstacles such as limited time, facilities, and teacher understanding. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance of continuous training, the provision of adequate facilities, and intensive assistance so that the implementation of deep learning does not remain merely a discourse but can be applied systematically and sustainably in PJOK learning in elementary schools.
