Abstract

This study examines the community's reliance on mangrove forests, particularly through the establishment of charcoal kiln businesses as a primary livelihood in Batu Ampar Village, following the decline of sawmill operations. The production of charcoal requires large quantities of mangrove wood, leading to significant environmental impacts, including the reduction of mangrove forests, increased carbon emissions, and deteriorating public health. In response to these challenges, social movements among mangrove honey farming groups have emerged, focusing on ecological revitalization efforts. This research aims to explore the role of social movement strengthening through mentoring by PKM-KI students from the Sharia Economics Master's program, specifically in the development of digital platform-based marketing strategies for mangrove honey businesses. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study analyzes field data to evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing in promoting mangrove honey as an alternative livelihood. The results highlight the potential of digital platforms in expanding the market for local mangrove honey products, offering a sustainable livelihood for the community while supporting environmental conservation.

Abstract

The increasing phenomenon of bank employees choosing to resign to avoid riba presents new challenges, particularly in terms of family economic resilience. Therefore, careful planning and selection of alternative jobs after hijrah need to be considered to ensure the family's economic needs are met. This study aims to analyze the background of X-Bank's decision to undergo hijrah and the changes in their career choices afterward. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with former bank employees who have undergone hijrah, documentation of their experiences before and after hijrah, and observations of their economic conditions after transitioning to new professions. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to gain a deep understanding of the studied phenomenon. The findings indicate that X-Bank's decision to undergo hijrah was influenced not only by religious factors but also by work pressure and an unhealthy work environment. After hijrah, X-Bank tends to choose entrepreneurship as a profession. In terms of economic resilience, family economic conditions improved and became more stable after transitioning to a new profession.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Islamic philanthropy management within Muslim minority communities in Landak Regency, West Kalimantan, focusing on its practices, challenges, and development potentials in Ambarang and Tebedak Villages. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving community leaders, religious figures, and Muslim residents actively engaged in zakat, infak, and sadaqah activities. The data were analyzed interactively through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal distinct characteristics in philanthropic management between the two villages. Tebedak Village demonstrates a more transparent and participatory management system supported by an institutional structure that ensures planned and accountable implementation of philanthropic activities. In contrast, Ambarang Village is characterized by strong social capital, particularly solidarity and mutual cooperation, yet lacks formal governance mechanisms. Both villages illustrate that Islamic philanthropy serves not only as a means of social assistance but also as an instrument for economic empowerment, interfaith harmony, and social cohesion within minority settings. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening community based institutions and Islamic philanthropy education to sustain social development programs in minority Muslim areas
