Abstract

Penerimaan diri lansia yang tinggal di panti wredha merupakan hal yang krusial, terutama ketika tidak mendapatkan dukungan dari keluarganya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerimaan diri lansia yang tinggal di panti wredha dalam konteks ketidakadaan dukungan keluarga. Fokus utama dalam penelitian kali ini adalah mengeksplorasi penerimaan diri dalam berbagai perubahan fisik, psikis, moral dan sosial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan melibatkan 5 orang lansia berjenis kelamin perempuan yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman (1992) melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lansia mengalaMI penerimaan diri dengan berbagai cara dalam menerima perubahan fisik yang menurun, menyesuaikan diri secara psikis dengan meningkatkan kesadaran dan rasa syukur, membangun hubungan sosial yang mendukung dengan lansia lain dan pengasuh panti, serta mempertahankan nilai- nilai moral dengan berpegang pada keyakinan. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan meskipun tidak mendapatkan dukungan dari keluarga, para lansia tetap dapat mencapai penerimaan diri yang didukung dari penyesuaian diri dan dukungan sosial dari lingkungan panti dan nilai nilai spiritualitas Penelitian ini menyarankan panti untuk memperhatikan dan mengembangkan progam program pendampingan psikososial yang berfokus pada penguatan aspek psikis, sosial, dan spiritual lansia guna mendukung proses penerimaan diri lansia di panti wredha.

Abstract

Flashcard is one of the tools used for teaching. Flashcard is widely used by teachers in schoolsto teach students English. The aim is to see the effectiveness of using flashcard media inimproving English vocabulary mastery at SD Negeri Kalibanteng Kidul 03, Semarang City.Using a quantitative experimental method with a non-random pre-test and post-test controlgroup design. The research sample consisted of 20 students of class 3B who were divided into2 groups selected using quota sampling techniques. The data collection method was throughstudent answers to questions. The data analysis technique used an independent sample t-test,the results of this study showed that p = 0.633 (p> 0.05), meaning that the results of thehypothesis in this study were rejected because there was no effect of using flashcard media inimproving English vocabulary mastery. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test for thecontrol group showed t = 4.90 with p <0.01, indicating that the flashcard learning methodsucceeded in significantly improving students' vocabulary mastery. However, the experimentalgroup, although showing improvement, did not reach the same level of significance with t =3.53 and p < 0.05, meaning that the improvement was not strong enough to be consideredstatistically effective. That is, indicating that there is no significant difference, perhaps becausethere are some external factors that affect the learning process.

Abstract

This  study explores the motivational factors that encourage students from Kudus who are studying at UIN Walisongo Semarang to join KMKS (Keluarga Mahasiswa Kudus Semarang), a regional student community that serves as a social and emotional support system for migrant students. Increased mobility in higher education often places migrant students in situations requiring significant academic, social, and cultural adjustment, making social support and a sense of belonging critical. Guided by McClelland’s theory of needs, this research aims to identify how the need for achievement, affiliation, and power is reflected in students’ experiences as members of KMKS. This study employs a qualitative phenomenological approach involving five participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that students primarily join KMKS to fulfill strong affiliative needs, such as seeking social connectedness, emotional comfort, familiarity, and a supportive environment among peers from the same region. Additionally, participation in KMKS contributes to personal development, including increased confidence, improved communication skills, and readiness to take organizational responsibilities. The needs for achievement and power appear indirectly through involvement in committees, leadership roles, and contributions to organizational development. KMKS also functions as a crucial coping resource, helping students reduce stress, loneliness, and adaptation difficulties. The implications of this study highlight the importance of regional student communities as a meaningful support system for migrant students, emphasizing their role in facilitating adaptation, strengthening social identity, and fostering personal growth.
