Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of digital marketing, the use of paylater, and hedonic shopping motivation on online impulse buying in the Shopee marketplace among Generation Z in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The rapid growth of digital technology, especially in e-commerce, has created new opportunities for businesses to reach consumers, particularly in online shopping platforms like Shopee. The widespread use of digital payment methods, such as paylater, alongside the growing influence of digital marketing and hedonic shopping motivation, has increased impulsive buying behaviors among consumers. Despite the growing attention to online impulse buying, limited research has examined the interplay of these factors specifically within the context of Generation Z in Yogyakarta. This study employs a quantitative approach with survey data collected from Generation Z respondents who have made transactions on Shopee in the past year. The findings suggest that digital marketing, paylater usage, and hedonic shopping motivation all have a significant positive influence on online impulse buying. The study contributes to the existing literature by exploring the combination of these factors in shaping consumer behavior in an increasingly digital marketplace. The results highlight the importance of understanding the unique drivers of impulse buying in the era of e-commerce, providing valuable insights for businesses to improve their marketing strategies and payment solutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and self-control on the consumptive behavior of Generation Z in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. A quantitative approach was used, with data collected through an online questionnaire. The respondents consisted of 100 Generation Z individuals residing in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The data collected were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that financial literacy has a significant positive effect on consumptive behavior, lifestyle has a significant positive effect on consumptive behavior, while self-control has a significant negative effect on consumptive behavior. The coefficient of determination of 71.6% indicates that these three variables collectively influence the consumptive behavior of Generation Z, while the remaining 28.4% is attributed to other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

This paper aims to find out the determinants of amount of cash holdings in developed and developing countries. One of the reason is because majority of studies that exist only focus on developed countries such as US or UK. Therefore, it is important to study cash holdings in the context of developing countries as well. Samples are drawn from DataStream Database using a sample period between 2009-2014 by including recent output with firm selection criterion based on data availability of firms (Al-Najjar, 2013), whereas financial firms with SIC codes 6000-6799 were not included as well as utility firms with SIC codes 4000-4999, resulting in total sample of 5402 observations from 23 countries. EViews was employed for the regression analysis with amount of cash holdings as the dependent variable. The results show that most of the hypotheses are not confirmed because of insignificant results and/or unexpected signs of coefficients. As the research about cash holdings in developing countries is not extensive yet, it is possible that there are differences to be found between developed and developing countries.

Abstract

The aim of this service activity is to increase the self-resilience of pond farmers, due to very rapid environmental changes. Apart from that, this activity is also carried out as a form of implementation of the blue economy which is currently the focus of the government's attention. This is because fisheries cultivation is a business whose production activities are always faced with the threat of risk and uncertainty. The source of this uncertainty is usually a decrease in cultivation production results or price fluctuations. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out risk management to determine the appropriate risk map and strategy to handle production risks experienced by fisheries farmers. The partner for this activity is Pokdakan Berkah Nila Abadi, Dukuhseti District, Pati Regency. Dukuhseti District is an area for brackish water pond fish cultivation. Cultivating salted tilapia is the main commodity. Dukuhseti District is now the main supplier of salted tilapia fish in Central Java and on the island of Java. Seeing the production results and potential of brackish water pond fish cultivation, economically it has contributed to the local population to meet their financial needs. This activity method begins with identifying risks related to cultivation production results and price fluctuations. Furthermore, partners will be provided with training regarding preventive and risk mitigation strategies for managing saline tilapia ponds. It is hoped that regular mentoring and monitoring activities can increase partners' self-resilience abilities. So that partners become strong and superior in competing in the industry.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to examine the impact of women on boards of directors (WOB), boards of directors (BOD), boards of commissioners (BOC), and independent boards of commissioners (BOCI) on company performance. The company's performance encompasses financial performance, assessed by return on assets (ROA), and market performance, evaluated by Tobin's Q. The population in this study consists of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with a sample of 20 companies selected using purposive sampling technique. The observation period is six years (2019-2024). Hypothesis testing with panel data regression. Following the execution of the Chow test, the Hausman test, and the LM test, the optimal model is identified as panel data regression using the Random Effect Model (Tobin's Q) and the Fixed Effect Model (ROA). The research findings indicate that Women on Board, the Board of Directors, the Board of Commissioners, and independent Commissioners do not affect company performance, whether measured by Tobin's Q or ROA. However, for Tobin's Q, the coefficient is negative, and for ROA, only the BOD and Boci have negative coefficients. The research contributes scientifically and can be utilized by subsequent researchers focusing on the issue of women on boards of directors and board of directors' structure.
