Abstract

This study examines how forest area, fiscal decentralisation, and sectoral economic growth affect environmental quality across Indonesian provinces. Forests are categorised into conservation, protected, and production areas. Fiscal decentralisation is analysed through natural resource revenue-sharing and local government environmental expenditures, while economic activity is segmented into the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors. The analysis uses a dynamic panel dataset of 33 provinces from 2017 to 2022. To address potential endogeneity, the study employs a multi-stage estimation strategy, starting with Pooled OLS and Fixed Effects models, followed by the Durbin-Wu Hausman test to justify the use of a dynamic Generalised Method of Moments (GMM) framework, with System-GMM selected as the final estimator. The results indicate that natural resource revenue-sharing has a positive effect on environmental quality. However, economic growth across all sectors negatively impacts environmental outcomes, while environmental protection expenditure shows no significant effect. These findings emphasize the need to adjust decentralised fiscal policies to focus more on ecological outcomes and steer more sustainable regional development.

Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to examine the influence of Islamic lifestyle, halal certification, and social media exposure on purchasing decisions at Mixue outlets in Serang City. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research used a quantitative approach with survey data collected from 190 respondents. Multiple linear regression analysis was applied using SPSS 26. Prior to hypothesis testing, classical assumption tests including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity were conducted to ensure data validity. Research findings: The results showed that Islamic lifestyle, halal certification, and social media exposure each had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.503, indicating that 50.3% of the variation in purchasing decisions could be explained by the three independent variables. The remaining 49.7% was influenced by other factors outside the model. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research contributes to the understanding of consumer behavior in the context of halal and Islamic marketing, especially within the growing market segment of Muslim consumers in non-traditional halal industries such as ice cream chains. It highlights the integration of religious values and digital influence in shaping consumer preferences. Practitioners/Policy Implications: The findings suggest that food and beverage companies targeting Muslim consumers should not only focus on halal certification but also promote Islamic lifestyle compatibility and engage actively on social media platforms to enhance purchasing behavior. These insights are valuable for marketing strategists and brand managers operating in multicultural environments. Research Limitations/Implications: The study is limited to Mixue outlets in Serang City, which may not fully represent broader consumer behavior across different regions. Future research should involve comparative studies across cities or include moderating variables such as income or education level for more nuanced insights.

Abstract

This research is designed to investigate regional differences in human development in Indonesia based on the Human Development Index (HDI) as a main indicator. With the use of the Theil Index decomposition method, this paper investigates the intra- and inter-regional disparities in Java vs. outside Java and KBI vs. KTI (Western Indonesia-Eastern Indonesia). Furthermore, the study uses convergence models (σ- and β-convergence) to examine the speed at which zones with lower HDI access regions with higher HDI. The dataset employed in the study was data from various competencies at each regency-cities in Indonesia during its period of 2010-2021, which was publicly available at the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The findings show a significant decrease in human development disparities over time, although the convergence process remains slow. Intra-regional inequality contributes more significantly to the overall disparity than inter-regional inequality, particularly within the KBI-KTI dichotomy. This study suggests that while Indonesia is on a path toward reducing regional disparities, more targeted policy interventions are needed to accelerate the convergence process, particularly in underdeveloped regions like Eastern Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between local government expenditure allocation and poverty reduction and map the time needed to fade the disparity between the dichotomy of regions. The methods used statistical approaches and mathematical models, both linear and non-linear, to project the time of inequality fading by observing all districts and cities in Banten Province during the period 2005-2024. The study also examines the differences in spending patterns between North and South Banten in the context of fiscal decentralization. Key results show that spending on these functions has a strong negative correlation with poverty rates, while predictive models show optimistic and pessimistic scenarios in the fading of inequality. This study concludes that optimizing local government spending can significantly accelerate the reduction of poverty gaps. The contribution of this research provides a theoretical and practical basis for more effective fiscal policies in supporting inclusive and sustainable development.

Abstract

According to the BKKBN, family welfare indicators can meet basic needs such as food, clothing, and housing. Currently, it is not only men who play a role in the family economy, but women also have a role in helping to improve the family's economy. Especially during Covid-19 where the average family income has decreased. The purpose of this service is to optimize the creation of village women through the use and innovation of superior bamboo products as a way to take part in improving the family economy. This service is carried out in the target village located in Pasuluhan Village, Walantaka District, Serang Banten. The method of implementing this service is carried out by conducting counseling with community development in a persuasive and educative manner and mapping participants regarding the business interests of village women, including women and youth groups. The results of the implementation of this service include the innovation of bamboo products in Pasuluhan village, the positive response, and motivation of village women to become entrepreneurs according to their interests and expertise.
