Abstract

Tumbuhan paku (Pteridophyta) diklasifikasikan menjadi empat kelas yaitu Psilotopsida, Equisetopsida (Sphenopsida), Marattiopsida, dan Polypodiopsida (Filicopsida). Tumbuhan paku banyak ditemukan di tempat yang lembap dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan hidup, salah satunya pada kawasan Kabupaten Bondowoso di delapan kecamatan dengan ketinggian berbeda. Di kawasan tersebut dilakukan kegiatan identifikasi dan inventarisasi tumbuhan paku khususnya kelas Polypodiopsida sebagai dasar informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan paku kelas Polypodiopsida berdasarkan letak dan posisi sorus dengan ketinggian berbeda di beberapa kawasan Kabupaten Bondowoso dari hasil penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode jelajah pada beberapa area tertentu. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat 6 famili, 11 genus, dan 15 jenis tumbuhan paku kelas Polypodiopsida dengan jumlah serta karakteristik letak dan posisi sorus yang berbeda. Setiap jenis tumbuhan paku memiliki letak dan posisi sorus yang sama di ketinggian berbeda (rendah, sedang, dan tinggi).

Abstract

Indonesia is the center of diversity of the Piperaceae family. Piperaceae is often used as traditional medicine, food, ornamental plants, ritual plants and as an economic value for the community. Anatomical utilization of Piperaceae is still not widely done. Therefore, this research is important to find out the members of Piperaceae when viewed from the anatomy of stomata and leaf reinforcement. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of plants of the Piperaceae family found in Bandealit TNMB and to determine variations in stomatal anatomy and leaf reinforcement in the Piperaceae family. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative quantitative research. The results showed that the stomata in the Piperaceae family varied as well as the leaf reinforcement they had. The Piperaceae family found in Bandealit TNMB comes from 2 genera, namely the Piper genus and the Peperomia genus, each of which has varied stomata and leaf reinforcement. Further research needs to be done on stomata and leaf reinforcement in the Piperaceae family.

Abstract

Tumbuhan obat sudah dikenal dan dimanfaatkan sejak dahulu. Namun kini zaman telah berkembang lebih modern dan pengetahuan tentang pemanfaatan tumbuhan obat kian tergantikan oleh obat kimiawi ditambah dengan kurangnya minat dari anak muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi jenis-jenis tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat lereng Gunung Kawi Kabupaten Malang dan untuk mengetahui cara pemanfaatan tumbuhan sebagai obat. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sekitar lereng Gunung Kawi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang dilaksanakan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi kepada masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi kepada masyarakat sekitar lereng Gunung Kawi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat 36 spesies tumbuhan dari 23 famili berbeda yang dimanfaatkan sebagai tumbuhan obat dengan famili paling banyak adalah Zingiberaceae (7 spesies) diikuti oleh Acanthaceae, Rutaceae, dan Apiaceae (3 spesies) serta Malvaceae, Lamiaceae, dan Piperaceae (2 spesies). Pemanfaatan tumbuhan sebagai obat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara seperti direbus, dihaluskan, diperas, maupun dibuat jamu dengan berbagai cara konsumsi seperti diminum maupun dimakan. Berbagai organ dari tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan yaitu seperti daun, rimpang, buah maupun seluruh bagian tumbuhan tersebut

Abstract

This study aims to develop contextual-based physics teaching materials by integrating local wisdom from the processing of tobacco harvests in Jember, East Java, into junior high school science materials. The teaching materials are designed to promote critical thinking skills, including interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, and explanation. This research is motivated by the need to make physics learning more meaningful and relevant to students' daily lives. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which focuses on the analysis and design stages. The teaching materials are presented interactively and visually using the Canva digital platform and can be accessed by students via an interactive website. Data analysis involved expert validation and questionnaire responses from 30 seventh-grade junior high school students. Expert validation was analyzed descriptively and quantitatively, and student responses were analyzed according to the frequency distribution of each aspect assessed. Experts' results of content validation show that teaching materials are suitable for learning. Based on the physics review, there are several tobacco processing processes related to physics concepts. The physics materials about temperature, heat transfer by conduction, convection, radiation, and specific heat directly relate to the real process of drying tobacco. Student responses were obtained through questionnaires and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that this contextual teaching material effectively increased students' learning motivation, concept understanding, and critical thinking skills. Students stated that the teaching materials were interesting, easy to understand, and related to their daily experiences. It can be concluded that local context-based physics teaching materials have strong potential to increase student engagement and support the development of thinking skills.
