Abstract

Weaving is one of the high cultural heritages that is proud of the Indonesian nation and reflects national identity and typical Buton woven cloth is no exception. This research aims to describe the existence of weaving traditions and their implications for the Buton community in Sulaa Village, Baubau City. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction techniques, data display, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this research show that the existence of the weaving tradition of the Sulaa people has existed since ancient times as proven by the existence of historical heritage in the form of (Kampua), namely currency made from woven cloth. The existence of the weaving tradition in Sulaa Village from the past until now has had an impact on the economy and education of the community. These implications encourage the community and local government to continue to preserve it.

Abstract

One of the problems at Senior High School 4 Bombana is that student learning outcomes do not reach the minimum completeness criteria. The use of conventional methods and media makes students passive, besides that learning is only teacher-centered. The aims of this research are: 1) to describe an overview of students' Geography learning activities; 2) to describe the description of the teacher's teaching activities; and 3) to describe an overview of the improvement in learning outcomes of class XI IPS 1 students at Senior High School 4 Bombana who were taught using the Problem-Based Learning model on Natural Disaster Mitigation material. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with research subjects consisting of teachers and students of class XI IPS 1. Based on data analysis, the conclusions obtained are: 1) student learning activity in cycle I was 2.4 and cycle II increased to 3.6;2) teacher teaching activity in cycle I was 2.9, increasing to 3.7; and 3) student learning outcomes in cycle I were 65% (17/26 students completed) in cycle II increased to 92% (24/26 students completed).

Abstract

The development of tourism potential often arises problems such as the lack of precise strategies used in its development. Therefore researchers aim to know: 1) internal factors in efforts to develop potential; 2) external factors in efforts to develop potential; and 3) an efficient strategy for the potential development of Puncak Wakila as a natural tourist attraction in Kondongia Village, Lohia District, Muna Regency. This type of research uses qualitative research using descriptive methods. Data analysis techniques used to find internal and external factors based on development theory, and IFAS-EFAS analysis. SWOT matrix are used to formulate a suitable strategy for the development of Puncak Wakila potential. The results of this study that suitable strategies used in the development of the potential of Puncak Wakila are: 1) policy strategy, namely policy making related to the development of tourism potential; 2) facility strategies related to the provision of adequate facilities; and 3) promotion strategies are related to tourism marketing.

Abstract

Curriculum and teachers cannot be separated from each other because teachers have a big role in the success or failure of implementing the curriculum. The aim of this research is to determine teacher readiness in implementing the merdeka curriculum as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by schools in implementing the merdeka belajar curriculum. This type of research is descriptive with mixed methods, combining qualitative and quantitative. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews. The subjects in this research were all class X teachers who implemented the merdeka belajar curriculum, totaling 31 teachers. The data analysis technique uses descriptives in the form of percentages The results of the study show that the readiness of Senior High School 1 Pasarwajo teachers in implementing the merdeka belajar curriculum is in the "Very Ready" category of 6.45% (2 teachers), "Ready" category of 25.81% (8 people), "Quite Ready" category of 45.16% (14 teachers), the "Not Ready" category of 16% (5 people) and the "Very Not Ready" category of 6.45% (2 teachers). Based on the results above, the readiness of Senior High School 1 Pasarwajo teachers in implementing the merdeka belajar curriculum is in the "Quite Ready" category.

Abstract

This research was conducted regarding the phenomenon of low teacher competence and quality. The aim of this research is to find out: 1) teachers' internal and external problems; and 2) efforts to improve the quality and professionalism of teachers at Senior High School 2 Kulisusu. This research uses qualitative research methods, with research subjects being teachers. The research results show that: 1) teacher problems consist of internal problems including weak cognitive and pedagogical competence of teachers, lack of love for their profession, lack of innovation in learning methods. Meanwhile, external problems include a lack of physical facilities and infrastructure that support teaching and learning activities, inadequate compensation, especially for non-civil servantor or honorary teachers, and adjustments to curriculum change policies; and 2) Efforts that can be made with holding various workshop activities related to improving the quality of education, obtaining the latest information about the education quality improvement system, both through social media and collaboration with supervisors, involving teachers in the program Teacher Professional Education and independent training through online resources such as the Platforms Independent Teach application, as well as providing motivation and support to understand information technology.

Abstract

The role of fishermen's wives has a great influence in increasing the income of fishermen's households. This study aims to determine the role played by fishermen's wives in the public sector in increasing household income in Boneoge Village, Lakudo District, Central Buton Regency. Determination of sampling was carried out by simple random sampling of 34 fishermen's wives. The results of the study showed that the role of fishermen's wives in addition to working in the domestic sector as housewives also works in the public sector in the economic sector in helping the family economy to increase family income. The contribution or role of fishermen's wives in increasing family income is 51.52% with an average family income of fishermen's wives who have worked or have side jobs of IDR. 2,488,235. Based on this income, the average total family income as a whole is IDR. 4,829,411. So that wives have a fairly large role or contribution in increasing family income. In addition, it can be seen that the contribution of fishermen's wives' income to the family is very influential in increasing family income because the income of fishermen's wives is higher than that of husbands where almost every day there is an income from the productive activities of fishermen's wives.

Abstract

Kulisusu District has great potential in the tourism sector because several types of tourist attractions such as natural, cultural, and artificial, can be visited. However, these tourist attractions are not widely known by the local and national community. The objectives of this research are: 1) to find out an overview of the potential tourist attractions in Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency; 2) to produce a map of the distribution of potential tourist attractions in Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research with observation methods. The data analysis technique used in this research is a descriptive analysis and spatial analysis approach. The research results show that: 1) there are 9 potential tourist attractions in Kulisusu District consisting of 3 types of tourist attractions, namely natural tourism, cultural tourism, and artificial tourism; 2) potential tourist attractions in Kulisusu District are spread across 6 villages/subdistricts including Bangkudu Village, Eelahaji Village, Kadacua Village, Wasalabose Village, Linsowu Village and Malalanda Village.

Abstract

Bendewuta village is dominated by the Bugis tribe. The Bugis tribe in Benewuta village has local wisdom, one of which is the Manre Sipulung tradition. The aim of this research is to find out the values ​​contained in the local wisdom of Manre Sipulung, the implementation of this tradition, and the reasons why the Bugis community continues to maintain this local wisdom. The data collection method used was observation and in-depth interviews with residents of Bendewuta Village. The results of the research show that the Manre Sipulung tradition contains various cultural values, but there are three main values ​​that are highly upheld, namely Sipakatau (mutual humanization), Sipakalebbi (mutual respect), and Sipakainge (reminding each other). Implementation of this tradition includes determining the time, preparing the location, reading prayers, and eating together. The community maintains this tradition because apart from being a cultural heritage that is routinely carried out every year after the harvest, this tradition also has meaning that is relevant to current developments and reflects their fears and hopes.

Abstract

Weather changes are the most vulnerable thing to happen in Nelayan Beach. So, if there is a change in the weather, it will cause fishermen's income to be unstable. The aim of this research is to determine the income of fishermen regarding the impact of weather changes on fishing communities and to determine the effect of weather changes on the income of fishing communities. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research show that the income of fishermen in Watolo Village, Mawasangka District is very influenced by the weather, where when the weather is good, the fishing community will go to sea for approximately 10-22 hours, but if the weather conditions are bad, the fishermen will go to sea for 2-4 hours a day. The fisherman's catch is not all will be bought and sold but used to fulfill daily meals. It is difficult to predict weather conditions by looking at cloud and wind conditions which prevent fishermen from going to sea.

Abstract

Land is widely used by humans to meet their living needs. One of them is that land is used as a place for human habitation. The research aims to determine the spatial temporal changes in residential land use in 2014-2023 and determine the causes of spatial temporal changes in residential land use in Konda District and Ranomeeto District. This research uses spatial analysis on Landsat 8 images. The results of the research are that land use in Konda District in 2014-2023 saw changes in non-built land where the forest area decreased by 862 ha. Changes in built-up land resulted in an increase in plantation area by 88.70 ha, rice fields by 200.00 ha and residential area by 1.00 ha. In Ranomeeto District, in 2014-2023, there was an increase in the use of non-built-up land, namely bushes, 1,917.49 ha. For built-up land, the increase occurred in the residential criteria of 629.06 ha. The factors causing land change in Konda District and Ranomeeto District are economic factors, demographic factors and location factors.
