Abstract

This study examines the relationship between financial literacy, financial efficacy, financial stress, and credit behavior among Banyumas Regency, Indonesia medical students. The research aims to understand how these factors interact and influence the financial decision-making of students in a high-pressure academic environment. Data were collected through an online survey targeting medical students with experience in consumer credit, and responses were analyzed using SEM-PLS methods. The results show that financial literacy does not significantly influence credit behavior directly, nor does financial efficacy mediate the relationship between financial literacy and credit behavior. However, financial stress was found to play a significant moderating role, demonstrating its critical influence on students' financial decisions. These findings highlight the importance of addressing psychological factors like stress and enhancing financial literacy and efficacy. The study provides practical implications, suggesting the need for tailored financial education programs that integrate stress management strategies to equip medical students better to handle financial challenges. These interventions can foster responsible credit behavior and financial stability by addressing knowledge gaps and emotional burdens. This research contributes to the broader understanding of financial decision-making, emphasizing the interconnectedness of financial knowledge, self-efficacy, stress, and behavior, particularly in the unique context of medical students. Future studies are encouraged to explore these relationships in other high-stress academic or professional environments to enhance the understanding of financial behavior dynamics further.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Burnout is prevalent among radiology professionals and has been consistently linked to increased self-reported medical errors in various healthcare settings. However, direct evidence connecting burnout measured by the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) to diagnostic errors in radiology image interpretation is lacking. This systematic review highlights an inferential gap due to the absence of studies simultaneously assessing MBI-measured burnout and objectively measured diagnostic errors in radiology. The strongest available evidence from prospective longitudinal studies in non-radiology populations demonstrates a bidirectional, dose-dependent association between burnout domains and perceived medical errors. Given the cognitive demands of radiological interpretation and the documented impact of burnout on cognitive functions, future research should directly evaluate this relationship within radiology professionals, incorporating relevant contextual moderators to inform targeted interventions aimed at improving patient safety.

Abstract

Dengue shock syndrome (DSS) is a critical, life-threatening complication; however, early prediction remains highly challenging. Clinicians historically rely on classic warning signs obtained through subjective anamnesis, such as persistent fever and spontaneous bleeding, to triage patients despite the potential for observational bias. To address this clinical gap, this study aimed to evaluate the objective predictive value of isolated, patient-reported symptoms on the incidence of shock using a large-scale population dataset. A retrospective observational design utilized big data analytics on routine surveillance records from the Banyumas Regional Health Agency, spanning from 2024 to 2025. The analyzed dataset comprised 1,381 patients, and statistical models, including bivariate analyses and logistic regression, were constructed to quantify the association between individual clinical symptoms and shock outcomes. The findings reveal a striking clinical anomaly: classically feared symptoms, including bleeding and fever, lack significant predictive power for shock deterioration. Conversely, the presence of a rash emerges as a critical clinical indicator; patients presenting with a rash demonstrate a nearly twofold increased risk of progressing to shock (OR = 1.95). Relying exclusively on subjective anamnesis and universal symptom profiles proves unpredictable and insufficient for anticipating severe dengue. Therefore, a rash serves as a crucial early red flag for underlying plasma leakage, mandating healthcare providers to move beyond rigid textbook paradigms and adopt a holistic, adaptive diagnostic approach to optimize patient safety.

Abstract

Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) historically represented the "final frontier" in percutaneous coronary intervention, frequently resulting in surgical referral due to high failure rates. Procedural success was traditionally hypothesized to be limited by patient-specific demographic factors, such as advanced age and female gender, alongside the urgency of clinical presentation. To address this clinical gap, this study aimed to evaluate the real-world success rates of CTO interventions and determine whether these baseline demographic and clinical factors significantly predict procedural outcomes. A retrospective observational study was conducted using big data analytics on a catheterization logbook from a high-volume center, yielding a cohort of 187 patients who underwent CTO-PCI. Procedural outcomes, age, gender, and clinical status (emergency vs. elective) were evaluated using bivariate analysis and multivariable logistic regression. The findings reveal an exceptionally high overall procedural success rate of 93.0%. Statistical modeling demonstrates that advanced age, female gender, and emergency clinical status do not significantly predict procedural failure. Operator expertise and advanced crossing techniques effectively neutralize the anatomical complexities traditionally associated with adverse demographic profiles. In conclusion, CTO-PCI is highly safe and efficacious across diverse patient demographics; thus, patients must not be denied minimally invasive revascularization based on perceived, yet statistically unproven, demographic limitations.
