Abstract

ENGLISH: Islamic Education Based on Literacy Tradition in Educating the People of Islamic Union (PERSIS)Objective: This study aims to examine the literacy tradition in public education developed by the Islamic Association (PERSIS) using a literature review and historical analysis. Methods: This research was conducted in 2023. The research uses the heuristic method to collect data, and data analysis uses historical analysis of the development of PERSIS in literacy and education. Results: PERSIS has successfully developed a strong literacy tradition since its establishment, which focuses on spreading and understanding Islamic teachings by the spirit of returning to the Qur'an and As-Sunnah. Conclusion: PERSIS books and publications have become a major means of enriching Islamic literature in Indonesia and helping to deepen people's understanding of Islamic teachings. They have positively impacted the internal PERSIS community and contributed to developing public education in Indonesia. Contribution: The results of this study contribute to strengthening PERSIS' literacy-based proselytization strategy, both in print and digital media, so that the wider community can more easily access Islamic teachings.INDONESIAN: Pendidikan Islam Berbasis Tradisi Literasi dalam Mencerdaskan Umat Persatuan Islam (PERSIS)Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tradisi literasi dalam pendidikan masyarakat yang dikembangkan oleh Persatuan Islam (PERSIS) menggunakan tinjauan literatur dan analisis sejarah. Metode: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tahun 2023 menggunakan metode heuristik untuk mengumpulkan data. Sejarah perkembangan PERSIS dalam bidang literasi dan pendidikan dianalisis. Hasil: PERSIS berhasil mengembangkan tradisi literasi yang kuat sejak berdiri. Tradisi literasi PERSIS berfokus pada penyebaran dan pemahaman ajaran Islam sesuai dengan semangat untuk kembali kepada Al-Qur’an dan As-Sunah. Kesimpulan: Buku dan penerbitan PERSIS menjadi sarana utama dalam memperkaya literatur Islam di Indonesia dan memperdalam pemahaman masyarakat terhadap ajaran Islam. Hal ini berdampak positif pada komunitas internal PERSIS dan juga berkontribusi penting bagi perkembangan pendidikan masyarakat di Indonesia. Kontribusi: Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperkuat strategi dakwah PERSIS yang berbasis literasi di media cetak maupun digital sehingga masyarakat luas dapat lebih mudah mengakses ajaran Islam.

Abstract

This pupose is structured to describe Mohammad Natsir with his movements in educating people through their conceptions and practice directly in the world of da'wah and politics in the field. This research presents the struggle of Natsir in guiding the people with da'wah, then unifying all the potential of the people in the frame of ukhuwah, as well as efforts to keep da'wah with siyasah as a form of struggle for the creation of an ideal religious, national and state life. This research is carried out through a qualitative approach formed by the study of figures through relevant literature and presented in the form of historical chronological descriptions with a sequence starting from biographies, educational concepts, propaganda movements, efforts of people's unity, and practical political movements of Mohammad Natsir aimed at providing education to the people. Abstract

The glamorous lifestyle of several top officials' families often attracts sharp public attention. This condition is very different from the previous national heroes who fought and provided examples to society when they became public officials. Therefore, this research explored the simplicity of the life of M. Natsir, an Indonesian national hero, by analyzing the values of character education reflected in the simplicity of his life. This research uses qualitative-descriptive methods and historical analysis, with data from various primary and secondary sources, including M. Natsir's biography, speeches and writings. The data was collected using a heuristic method, followed by a verification and interpretation process. Research findings show that the values of character education are manifested in M. Natsir's life, such as not being extravagant, rejecting gratification, and living as he is. These values can be seen in the way they dress, where they live and their lifestyle. These values are relevant in the current context of character education. This research concludes that the simplicity of M. Natsir's life has significant implications as an inspiration for Indonesia's young generation in building strong character and integrity. Apart from that, this research also emphasizes the importance of including the noble values of historical figures in the national education curriculum as an effort to form a nation with character.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) merupakan bagian penting dalam membekali mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) sebagai calon pendidik yang mampu memahami dan menerapkan pendekatan reflektif dalam pembelajaran. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses implementasi pembelajaran PTK di lingkungan Program Studi PAI Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (Unsika). Kegiatan pembelajaran dirancang secara sistematis melalui empat tahapan utama, yaitu: (1) penyampaian materi dasar mengenai konsep dan struktur PTK; (2) simulasi penerapan metode PTK di kelas untuk melatih pemahaman dan kemampuan merancang tindakan; (3) praktik lapangan yang memungkinkan mahasiswa mengimplementasikan rancangan tindakan dalam konteks pendidikan yang nyata; dan (4) penyusunan laporan hasil kegiatan yang dipublikasikan melalui platform Open Journal Systems (OJS). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan fokus pada dokumentasi proses pembelajaran dan keterlibatan mahasiswa pada setiap tahapan. Hasil deskripsi menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran PTK berjalan sesuai dengan perencanaan dan memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada mahasiswa dalam memahami serta menerapkan penelitian tindakan kelas secara sistematis. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan dalam pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis praktik di lingkungan perguruan tinggi keagamaan.

Abstract

Korupsi merupakan kejahatan luar biasa yang berdampak luas pada kehidupan bangsa. Tidak hanya menimbulkan kerugian negara secara meteril tetapi juga mempertontonkan kerusakan moral pejabat yang akan berdampak pada hilangnya keteladan bagi generasi pelanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana nilai-nilai integritas diinternalisasikan melalui mata kuliah Pendidikan Anti Korupsi pada kurikulum Prodi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (UNSIKA), serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui analisis dokumen RPS dan observasi kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai integritas diajarakan dengan mengkombinasikan beberapa strategi pembelajaran yang berdampak pada terwujudnya pemahaman moral (moral knowing), perasaan moral (moral feeling) dan perilaku moral (moral action) pada mahasiswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah internalisasi nilai-nilai integritas di perguruan tinggi ini dilakukan secara sistematis dan konsisten yang implikasinya menyatakan bahwa perguruan tinggi dapat mengambil peran besar menjadi agen strategis dalam mencetak generasi yang berintegritas dan mampu melawan praktik tindak pidana korupsi sejak dini.

Abstract

Adolescent sexual moral education has become increasingly urgent amid the normalization of permissive relationships and the pervasive influence of digital media. This study aims to develop an integrative understanding of adolescent sexual moral education by analyzing Prophetic Hadith in relation to Kohlberg’s moral development theory and field-based evidence. Employing a qualitative approach with a primary emphasis on field research, data were collected through in-depth interviews with four informants (I1–I4) actively involved in adolescent education. These empirical findings are interpreted through an analytical framework grounded in Prophetic Hadith and Kohlberg’s stages of moral development. The findings reveal that the Prophet’s dialogical-empathetic approach functions as a transformative pedagogical process that guides adolescents’ moral reasoning from pre-conventional orientations toward more socially and internally grounded moral awareness. While this process aligns with Kohlberg’s developmental stages, it also extends them by incorporating a transcendental dimension rooted in spiritual accountability. Field-based evidence indicates that adolescents tend to normalize permissive interactions influenced by social and digital environments, highlighting the need for moral education grounded in dialogue, empathy, and internal awareness. This study demonstrates that the integration of prophetic pedagogy, moral development theory, and empirical realities constitutes a genuine epistemological dialogue, contributing to a context-sensitive and integrative model of adolescent sexual moral education

Abstract

This finding is driven by the importance of moral-based education in addressing issues of moral decline in the context of globalization, particularly at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary school) level. This study aims to analyze teachers' perspectives on moral-based education and the role of the educational environment in supporting the learning process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative methodology. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with Madrasah teachers at MI Al-Manar, Telukjambe Timur, Karawang. The Miles and Huberman model was used for data analysis, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion formulation. The findings indicate that teachers view moral-based education as the main foundation in the educational process, where success is assessed not only through academic achievement but also from the behavior and morals of students. In addition, the educational environment, including the physical environment of the madrasah, family, and community, contributes significantly to the development of students' morals, although obstacles remain such as limited facilities and infrastructure and low parental involvement. Therefore, collaboration between various stakeholders is crucial in supporting the optimization of moral-based education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.
