Abstract

Percobaan yang  dilakukan bertujuan untuk  mendapatkan jenis pemangkasan yang dapat meningkatkan hasil mentimun jepang. Percobaan dilakukan di bulan April 2018 hingga Juni 2018 di Desa Cibogo kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat dengan ketinggian tempat 1.250 mdpl. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan enam perlakuan dan empat ulangan sehingga terdapat 24 plot percobaan.  Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 5 tanaman, sehingga jumlah keseluruhannya 120 tanaman. Hasil percbaan menunjukkan terjadinya pengaruh pemangkasan pucuk terhadap hasil tanaman mentimun Jepang.Tanpa pemangkasan pucuk pada batang utama serta pemangkasan pucuk pada seluruh cabang lateral dan pemangkasan pucuk pada batang utama serta pemangkasan pucuk pada lima cabang lateral memberikan hasil yang baik

Abstract

Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L) is one type of vegetable crop favored by the Indonesian people. Its  cultivation requires specific planting medium and rich in nutriens to meet plant growth and development need. This study aims to obtain the best ratio of soil mass and chicken manure fertilizer which can increase common bean growth and yield . This experiment was conducted from April 2019 to June 2019, in Langensari Village, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency with an altitude of 1,200 m above sea level. The experiment used  Randomized Block Design (RBD)consisted of 5 treatments and repeated 5 times, namely  A = 4.0 kg of soil: 0.0 kg chicken manure , B = 2.0 kg of soil: 2.0 kg chicken manure , C =1,3 kg of soil  :2,7  kg chicken manure, D= 1,0 kg of soil : 3,0 kg chicken manure, and E = 2,7 kg of soil : 1,3 kg chiken manure per polibag.  Results showed that the use of planting media with a soil media mass ratio of  2,0 kg of soil : 2,0 kg chiken manure increase  plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits, fruit length and fruit weight compared the other treatmens, but the  flowering and fruiting age of the plants were not different beetwen  between treatments given.

Abstract

Kedelai hitam adalah komoditas pangan kacang-kacangan yang mempunyai keunggulan untuk pembuatan kecap.  Pada penelitian ini diupayakan mencari beberapa genotif unggul dengan memberikan inovasi  bahan paket organik yang bervariasi guna meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasilnya serta efisiensi pupuk anorganik N P K. Percobaan dilakukan di Tanjungsari Kabupaten Sumedang. Rancangan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Petak Berbagi sebagai petak utama adalah paket inovasi bahan organik , anak petak adalah  genotipe kedelai hitam dan diulang  dua kali. Faktor pertama,  paket inovasi bahan organik terdiri dari empat taraf  100 % dosis N  P K rekomendasi,  75 % dosis N P K rekomendasi + Kompos Jerami, 50 % dosis N P K rekomendasi + Kompos Jerami + Pupuk Hayati dan  50 % dosis N P K rekomendasi + Kompos Jerami + Pupuk Hayati + Biochar. Faktor kedua, genotipe kedelai hitam terdiri atas lima taraf meliputi  Varietas Cikuray,  genotipe UNP 1,  genotipe UNP 2,  genotipe UNP 3 dan  genotipe UNP 4. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan terjadi interaksi antara beberapa genotipe kedelai hitam dengan paket inovasi bahan organik terhadap berat 100 butir biji. Hasil uji mandiri menunjukkan bahwa paket inovasi bahan oganik  memberikan pengaruh yang sama terhadap komponen pertumbuhan (tinggi tanaman danNisbah Pupus Akar ) dan hasil ( jumlah polong per tanaman, jumlah biji per tanaman, berat biji per tanaman, berat 100 butir biji), tetapi setiap genotipe menunjukkan hasil yang bervariasi dan hasil tertinggi ditunjukkan oleh paket inovasi bahan organik 50 % dosis N P K rekomendasi + Kompos jerami + Pupuk Hayati + Biochar dan  genotipe  UNP 1 .

Abstract

This research on making seaweed seasoning powder is expected to provide an alternative safe flavoring material because it comes from natural food and is one of the diversified products of processed local seaweed that is widely cultivated in Indonesia. This study also aims to determine the effect of the ratio of dried seaweed and garlic powder on water content, ash, dissolved solids, and organoleptic properties of seaweed seasoning powder. The experimental design that will be used in this study is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) pattern with one variable, namely the ratio of dried seaweed and garlic at levels 1:2, 1:1, and 2:1. The results showed that the ratio of dried seaweed and garlic powder had a significant effect on water content, ash content, total soluble solid (TSS), taste, aroma, and texture seaweed seasoning powder. The ratio of dried seaweed and garlic powder had no significant effect on the color of seaweed seasoning powder. The best treatment was  a ratio of seaweed and garlic powder of 1:2 having an average value of color 4.13, taste 3.29, aroma 3.62, texture 4.03, water content 7.12%, ash content 2.91, and total dissolved solids of 89.14%.

Abstract

Broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica) which is often called green flower cabbage is one type of vegetable that is popular with the public. To meet the growing needs of broccoli, its cultivation business requires the right planting medium and is rich in nutrients.This study aims to obtain a ratio of soil mass and granule organic fertilizer which can increase the growth and yield of broccoli. The experiment was carried out from March 2017 to May 2017, located in Cicalung Village, Wangunharja Village, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency, with an altitude of 1200 m above sea level. The design used was a randomized block design (RBD) with 7 treatments and repeated 4 times, namely A = 6 kg of soil: 0 kg of granular organic fertilizer, B = 5.9 kg of soil: 0.1 kg of granular organic fertilizer, C = 5, 8 kg soil: 0.2 kg granule organic fertilizer, D = 5.7 kg soil: 0.3 kg granule organic fertilizer, E = 5.6 kg soil: 0.4 kg granule organic fertilizer, F = 5.5 kg soil: 0.5 kg granule organic fertilizer, G = 5.4 kg soil: 0.6 kg granule organic fertilizer.The results showed that in treatment F the use 5.5 kg of soil: 0.5 kg of granular organic fertilizer gave a better effect on plant height, number of leaves, canopy width and gross weight but had the same effect on net weight between treatments give.

Abstract

Potted chrysanthemum plants are very popular with the public because of their various colors, sizes and shapes. The experiment was aimed to give the concentration of potassium nitrate (KNO3) which had a good effect on the growth and yield of potted chrysanthemums cyra agrihorti varieties. The experiment was carried out from March to May 2021 in Cimeta Village, Tugumukti Village, Cisarua District, West Bandung Regency at an altitude of 1312 m above sea level. The experiment method used complete randomized design (CRDB) of six treatments and four replications. The KNO3 concentration treatments used were A = 0 g/liter, B = 1 g/liter, C = 2 g/liter, D = 3g/liter, E = 4 g/liter, and F = 5 g/liter. The results showed that the KNO3 concentration treatment had an effect on increasing the growth and yield of potted chrysanthemum plants. Treatment with KNO3 concentration of 4 g/liter (E) and KNO3 concentration of 5 g/liter (F) had a better effect than other treatments on the growth and yield of potted chrysanthemum Cyra Agrohorti varieties

Abstract

Zukini (Cucurbita pepo L.) belongs to the pumpkin tribe (Cucurbitaceae) including annual plants that live in the highlands. The need for zucchini in Indonesia is increasing along with the growing number of restaurants serving Japanese and Korean dishes. Information about the cultivation of zucchini in Indonesia is still limited, so that zucchini is rarely found among farmers. The purpose of the experiment was to get the right concentration of Bioboost fertilizer in order to give maximum zucchini yields. The experiment was conducted from February to April 2022 in Cihanjuang Rahayu Village, Parongpong, West Bandung Regency, West Java Province with an altitude of 1.243 m above sea level. The experiment menthod used complete randomized block design (CRBD) of five treatment and five replications. Each treatment consisted of 5 plants. so the total number was 125 plants. Treat the experiment A : 0 cc Bioboost/liter of water, B : 20 cc Bioboost/liter of water, C : 40 cc Bioboost/liter of water, D : 60 cc Bioboost/liter of water, E : 80 cc Bioboost/liter of water. The results showed that the concentration of Bioboost fertilizer was effective on the number of leaves, age of flower initiation, number of fruit/plant, fruit length/plant, fruit diameter/plant and fruit weight/plant. The application of Bioboost with a concentration of 60 cc/liter of water had the best effect on the growth and yield of the varieties Jacky Z-6 zucchini plant

Abstract

Tanaman bidara Arab (Ziziphus mauritiana) berasal dari daerah beriklim panas dan kering di wilayah Asia Tengah atau kawasan Timur Tengah, namun masih mampu beradaptasi tumbuh di wilayah tropis maupun subtropis. Ketika tanaman Bidara Arab yang menyukai iklim gurun ini ditumbuhkan pada wilayah tropika basah, khususnya kota Bandung, Provinsi Jawa Barat, yaitu, pada ketinggian tempat 682 MDPL, suhu harian tahunan 18-29 oC, curah hujan 1.500-4.000 mm.th-1 dengan kelembaban tanah relatif tinggi, ternyata diperoleh karakteristik morfologi dari organ daun, ranting, batang adalah normal, dan diperoleh buah berdiameter kurang dari 2 cm. Simplisia buah muda dan buah matang tanaman Bidara Arab yang dibudidayakan pada lahan tropika basah tersebut telah dianalisis kandungan fitokimia didalamnya dengan metode maserasi dan teridentifikasi aneka fitokimia melalui alat kromatografi GCMS merk Shimadzu tipe 2010 QP. Hasil analisis kromatogram pada buah muda bidara Arab didominasi oleh derivat senyawa heksadekana , asam palmitat, dan karbinol, sedangkan pada buah Bidara Arab matang didominasi oleh derivat senyawa asam klorogenat, asam malat, dan siklononasiloksan. Perbedaan jenis fitokimia yang teridentifikasi selama penelitian dengan jenis fitokimia yang diperoleh peneliti sebelumnya pada wilayah iklim yang berbeda, merupakan tujuan akhir penelitian ini yaitu, untuk memperoleh informasi efek adaptasi tumbuh tanaman bidara Arab pada lahan tropika basah kota Bandung.

Abstract

Cilokolot Village, RT 02 RW 02, Margahayu Selatan, Bandung Regency, is a densely populated area where traditional tempeh production occurs. In this village, there are two small-scale tempeh factories involving seven artisans, processing approximately 700 kg of soybeans daily. This study focuses on one factory, which is smaller and utilizes traditional technology, with a production capacity of 200 kg per day and firewood as its fuel source. The tempeh production process consists of boiling, soaking, separating, washing soybeans, fermenting, and packaging, which generates significant volumes of liquid waste. One of the tempeh artisans also has a livestock farm with ten cattle, fifteen goats, and a few turkeys, ducks, and chickens. Waste from tempeh and animal manure is often discharged directly into rivers and vacant land, leading to air, soil, and water pollution, which poses health risks. Biogas energy is produced through microbial processing of organic waste, such as vegetable scraps, fruit peels, leftover rice, livestock manure, and tempeh waste. The main components of biogas are methane and carbon dioxide. The objectives of this study are: 1) to educate artisans on the negative impacts of tempeh waste and livestock manure on the environment; 2) to install a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) for managing tempeh waste and cattle manure; 3) to provide training and support for processing tempeh waste and animal manure into biogas and Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF); and 4) to conduct training on the application of LOF to crops. The methods employed include outreach, training, technology implementation, ongoing support, and evaluation. The results indicate that: 1) artisans actively participated in socialization sessions addressing the negative impacts of tempeh waste and livestock manure; 2) the WWTP for tempeh waste and cattle manure has been successfully installed on land provided by the artisans; 3) training and support for operating the WWTP resulted in the successful production of biogas and LOF, which provide added value and benefits; and 4) training on the application of LOF to demonstration plots has been conducted, with enthusiastic participation from the artisans.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan salah satu bentuk pengimplementasian Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi dalam upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat di berbagai bidang. Salah satu topik yang memiliki relevansi tinggi dengan pendidikan adalah florikultur, yang berkaitan dengan budidaya tanaman hias. Artikel ini mengulas kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh dosen dari Universitas insan cendekia mandiri dengan tema " Edukasi Tanaman Florikultur di SD Asy-Syifa 2 Kecamatan Antapani Bandung, Jawa Barat". Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai pemeliharaan tanaman hias kepada guru-guru di SD Asy-Syifa 2, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan lingkungan hidup di sekolah.
