Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the competence of early childhood teachers in teaching dance as a strategy to enhance creativity and instill local culture in young children in Sambirejo Village, Bringin District, Semarang Regency. The implementation methods include observing the needs of partners, designing programs, providing hands-on training, assisting and conducting evaluations, and monitoring. The results show an improvement in the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of teachers in designing and implementing dance learning that is contextual to the local culture. The outputs of the activity include copyrights, publications in the mass media and the faculty's official website, article publication and a video highlighting the activity. This program contributes to improving the quality of early childhood education services while supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education) and strengthening regional cultural identity.

Abstract

The issue of fatherlessness is a serious concern in Indonesia, given the importance of fathers as partners in childcare alongside mothers. The lack of a father's involvement can trigger various negative impacts on children, such as mental health disorders, difficulty making decisions, sexual disorientation, and low self-resilience, which increases the risk of sexual violence. According to SIGA data from 2022, in Central Java, 4.37% of children experience inappropriate parenting, and 5,974 children are cared for by a single parent. PPA Symphony data recorded a surge in child violence cases from 14,446 cases in 2021 to 16,106 cases in 2022, with sexual violence as the most cases. Unfortunately, DP3AP2KB Central Java does not have a sustainable program to strengthen the role of fathers, and so far it has only been limited to movements in certain events. This research aims to provide training that emphasizes the importance of fathers' roles in parenting through materials that strengthen affective communication, regulate emotions, promote positive discipline, and encourage active involvement in children's growth and education. The results of the activity demonstrated an increase in participants' understanding of the strategic role fathers play in the family.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kebutuhan inovasi layanan bimbingan dan konseling (BK) dari perspektif guru BK dengan menyoroti tantangan yang dihadapi, strategi adaptasi yang dilakukan, serta kebutuhan inovasi layanan dalam pelaksanaan BK di sekolah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui analisis data kebutuhan layanan BK yang dihimpun dari guru BK dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru BK menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti keterbatasan waktu layanan, beban administrasi yang tinggi, rasio konselor dan siswa yang tidak ideal, serta dukungan institusional yang belum optimal. Dalam menghadapi kondisi tersebut, guru BK melakukan adaptasi melalui strategi layanan yang bersifat sederhana, pragmatis, dan kontekstual sesuai dengan kondisi sekolah dan karakteristik peserta didik. Selain itu, guru BK mengungkapkan kebutuhan akan inovasi layanan BK yang fleksibel, mudah diterapkan, dan mampu meningkatkan efektivitas layanan tanpa menambah beban kerja secara berlebihan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa inovasi layanan BK perlu dikembangkan berdasarkan kebutuhan nyata praktisi agar relevan dan berkelanjutan.
