Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the procurement of raw materials for freshwater salted fish based on the six-right principles and to analyze the added value of leading agroindustrial products in Tulang Bawang Regency during the dry and rainy seasons. Data were collected through a census method involving 37 business units from December 2023 to February 2024, using a descriptive quantitative approach. The results show that raw material procurement practices vary by season. In the dry season, procurement was appropriate in terms of location, quality, and price, but less accurate regarding timing, type, and quantity. In the rainy season, only location and quality criteria were consistently met. Lais fish consistently generated the highest added value, while the lowest varied between gabus and baung fish depending on the season. These findings highlight the need for adaptive, season-based strategies and call for a re-evaluation of lais fish as a flagship product due to its limited availability as an endemic species.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the most important attributes of pindang cuisine based on consumer preferences in Palembang. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach to examine the characteristics and responses of consumers regarding the purchase of Pindang. The data used in this study consisted of primary data collected through an online questionnaire distributed by Google Forms. The questionnaire was distributed between December 2025 to February 2026. The research instrument comprised a structured questionnaire divided into three main sections: respondent profile, pindang purchase behavior, and consumer preference attributes. Consumer preferences for each pindang attribute were determined using a weighted scoring method based on a Likert-scale score. This study involved 356 respondents selected through purposive sampling based on predefined inclusion criteria. Eligible participants were individuals who had purchased or consumed pindang at a pindang restaurant in Palembang within the six months preceding the survey. The sampling technique used in this study was non-probability sampling through an online survey. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively by calculating the frequency, percentage, and average values of the respondents’ answers. The result showed that RM. PMR achieved the highest consumer preference score among pindang restaurants in Palembang. This preference is likely associated with its high popularity and strong appeal among consumers. Fish was the main ingredient in pindang at 60.4%, with river catfish (Pangasius pangasius) being the most dominant species at 48.9%. The fish body was the most preferred part because it has thick flesh, a uniform texture, is easy to eat, and has a richer flavor. The health aspect received the highest perception score of 4.92, while taste was the most dominant sensory attribute with a score of 4.92. Additionally, the product factor received the highest importance score with a score of 4.80, indicating that product quality was the primary determinant of consumer evaluations and satisfaction

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of residential development on the drainage system performance in Kasang Jaya Subdistrict, East Jambi District. The research employed a hydrological analysis using the Modified Rational Method to estimate design flood discharge and a hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS software to evaluate the capacity of the existing drainage channels. The results show that residential development significantly increases the design flood discharge from 1.459–1.684 m³/s to 3.262–3.766 m³/s for 2–20-year return periods. Hydraulic simulations indicate that the existing drainage system is unable to accommodate the increased discharge, resulting in overflow and inundation at all observed points in the upstream, midstream, and downstream sections. This condition is further exacerbated by sedimentation and uncontrolled vegetation growth, which reduce the effective channel capacity. Consequently, the existing drainage system is no longer adequate to handle runoff generated by land-use changes. Therefore, integrated mitigation measures are required, including channel normalization, routine maintenance, and the construction of retention ponds as flood control infrastructure to reduce inundation risks in residential areas

Abstract

This study evaluates the export resilience of Indonesia's key plantation commodities which is Technically Specified Natural Rubber (TSNR), Crude Palm Oil (CPO), and coffee by integrating Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Trade Specialization Index (TSI), and Export Product Dynamics (EPD) indicators from 2010 to 2024. The empirical findings reveal a systematic degradation in export competitiveness, particularly for TSNR, while CPO and coffee exhibit dynamic but fragile resilience in the face of global macroeconomic shocks. The study highlights that Indonesia's export position is increasingly vulnerable to geopolitical transmission risks, notably the potential escalation of the Iran–Israel–US conflict. Such instability threatens to trigger systemic convergence toward the "Retreat" quadrant due to disruptions in maritime logistics and global demand contraction. These findings underscore the urgent need for strategic market diversification and value chain strengthening to mitigate the looming threats of global trade fragmentation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the general description of smallholder palm oil in Sekernan District, Muaro Jambi Regency, and analyze their sustainability status and sensitive attributes that affect them. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis to determine the status of the sustainability index of smallholder palm oil using MDS Rapid Apparasial analysis, which is modified to RAP-PalmOil, and leverage analysis is used to determine its sensitive attributes. This research was conducted in Suko Awin Jaya, Bukit Baling, Tantan, and Tunas Mudo villages. The sampling location in this study was determined purposively (purposive) with a sample of 100 respondents, who were then determined by simple random sampling. The study results show that the sustainability status of smallholder palm oil in Sekernan District is multidimensionally considered quite sustainable. The economic dimension provides the highest sustainability index and is followed by the social and ecological dimension, which is considered quite sustainable. The sensitive attribute or attribute that has the most influence on the sustainability index value on the ecological dimension is the fertilization period, while the economic dimension is farming income, and the sensitive attribute on the social dimension is conflict resolution
