Abstract

This study aims to examine the quality of educational services and to identify the priority factors for improving educational services at an Integrated Islamic Junior High School (SMP IT) in Gowa Regency. The research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The population consisted of all students at the selected SMP IT in Gowa Regency, with the entire population of 53 students taken as the sample. The data obtained were analyzed using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The findings indicate that the educational services experienced by the students are generally aligned with their expectations, as reflected in the average conformity level of 93.08%. Furthermore, three factors were identified as priorities for service improvement based on students perspective: teachers’ punctuality in attending scheduled classes (assurance dimension), the sincerity of mentors in caring for students during illness (empathy dimension), and the availability of textbooks or learning modules for students (tangible dimension). Based on these results, it is recommended that the school administration pay greater attention to the services provided to students as service users by improving the identified priority areas and maintaining the quality of services that are already satisfactory.

This research used a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The population of this study was all junior high school students in Majene Regency. The sample size was 184 students, obtained through purposive sampling. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The instruments used consisted of a validation sheet and a questionnaire, both of which had undergone content validation by two experts. The instrument validation stage yielded an internal consistency coefficient (content validity) of 0.83 > 0.75, indicating that the questionnaire is valid and can be used in the research activities. The data were analyzed using Importance Performance Analysis. This involved two calculations: a conformity level calculation using Microsoft Excel and a priority dimension calculation using Simple Scatter in SPSS version 26. The results of the study indicate that the quality of science laboratory services at the junior high school level in Majene Regency, from the students' perspective, is generally of high quality, as 93% of the items fall into the category of alignment between the service experienced and the expected service. Abstract

Abstract: standardized interest and aptitude assessment using the Holland occupational themes framework, and reflective group discussion. Effectiveness was measured through a one-group pretest-posttest design analyzed with the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and normalized gain score. Results showed a highly significant knowledge increase, with average scores rising from 44.70 to 79.38, producing a normalized gain score of 0.614 in the medium-to-high category. A total of 82.2 percent of participants aligned their study program choices with their dominant interest profile, the average satisfaction score reached 4.35 out of 5.00, and 91.1 percent of participants were actively engaged. The activity concludes that a structured one-day career education intervention can significantly improve students’ readiness for the university selection process and promote more informed, self-directed decision-making.
