Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a central driver of digital transformation in education, particularly in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning. This study examines the role of AI-supported learning through the Quizizz platform in enhancing English vocabulary mastery while simultaneously strengthening religious values and educational governance from a Public Administration perspective. Using a comprehensive literature-based analytical approach, this study synthesizes international research on AI, digital pedagogy, and EFL with national studies on English education policy, character education, and public governance. The findings indicate that Quizizz effectively improves vocabulary retention, pronunciation accuracy, learner motivation, and self-regulated learning through adaptive repetition, gamification, and real-time feedback. Beyond linguistic outcomes, the integration of religious values within AI-based instruction fosters ethical awareness, learning discipline, and social responsibility among students. From a governance perspective, AI-supported learning platforms enhance transparency, accountability, and evidence-based decision making through digital documentation and learning analytics. This study concludes that the integration of Artificial Intelligence, EFL vocabulary learning, religious values, and public governance constitutes a comprehensive and sustainable framework for developing ethical, accountable, and high-quality digital education.

Abstract

The mambaca to mate tradition is a cultural practice of the Mandar people in West Sulawesi, which still survives today as a form of respect and prayer for family members who have passed away. This practice is rich in social and spiritual values, but on the other hand, it also has the potential for theological distortion that could affect the purity of the community's faith if not examined critically. This study aims to describe the symbolic meaning, social function, and Islamic educational values contained in the mambaca to mate tradition, while also critically analyzing the community's misconceptions from an Islamic education perspective. The method used is qualitative research with a library research design, analyzing various primary sources such as contemporary literature, as well as secondary sources like scientific journals and relevant books. Research results show that this tradition has a strong social function, such as strengthening friendship and solidarity, as well as containing Islamic educational values that include spiritual aspects (ubudiyah), morality (akhlakul karimah), and discipline (nizhamiyah). However, there are also misunderstandings in the community, such as the belief that the spirits of the deceased physically appear, taste the provided offerings, or will cause disturbances if the tradition is not carried out—beliefs that contradict the principle of tauhid and can potentially lead to hidden shirk. This research implies the need for active roles from religious leaders and educators in clarifying the essential meaning of the tradition as a means of worship and local wisdom, rather than as a ritual based on fear of supernatural beings, so that this tradition can continue to be preserved without compromising the purity of Islamic creed.

Abstract

This article focuses on examining the Development of Arabic Learning Resources: An Epistemological Review of George Berkeley's Empiricism Philosophy. Through literature research, it was found that Arabic learning resources are one of the important factors in improving students' language skills. Their development is not just about providing materials but also creating learning experiences that allow students to gain knowledge through direct interaction with objects and phenomena around them. George Berkeley's thinking emphasizes the importance of perception in the formation of knowledge, so the richness of perceptual experiences with learning resources can strengthen the understanding of Arabic in a concrete and meaningful way. Thus, contextual learning resources help learners connect Arabic material with real-life experiences, daily life, and their social environment, making learning more practical, relevant, and easy to understand.
