Abstract

The Problem Submission and Solving (JUCAMA) learning model is a learning model that is oriented towards problem submission and solving to improve students' creative thinking skills.The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of ethnomathematics JUCAMA learning models and to determine the influence of the mathematical habits of mind on the creative thinking ability of students. The research method used for this research is a mixed-method using a sequential explanatory design. The population in this study were students of class VIII in Junior High School of State at Sub-District Donggo Regency of Bima which is not a One-stop Middle School and the sample is class VIII of Junior High School of State 3 Donggo. Class VIII/A is the control class and class VIII/B is the experimental class. The results was showed that the average creative thinking ability of students taught by using etnomathematics JUCAMA learning model more higher than the average thinking ability of students taught by problem-based learning. Students who are taught with the ethnomathematical JUCAMA learning model experience an increase in creative thinking skills in the medium category, while students who are taught with problem-solving learning models experience an increase in creative thinking skills in the low category based on the N-gain category. In improving the creative thinking ability, the ethnomathematics JUCAMA learning models were applied to the experimental class more effective than problem-solving learning models were applied to the control class. There is the influence of the mathematical habits of mind on the creative thinking ability of students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of local SASAMBO (Sasak, Sumbawa, and Mbojo) cultural elements into ethnomathematics-based Basic Mathematics learning problems. The approach used was descriptive qualitative, with data sources consisting of evaluation questions that integrate mathematical concepts within a cultural context. Data were analyzed through stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion to uncover the relevance between local cultural values ​​and mathematical concepts such as sets, logic, and meaning. The results show that using the SASAMBO cultural context in mathematics problems can improve conceptual understanding, strengthen character, and foster student learning motivation. This improvement can be seen in the evaluation results which show progress in mastery of the material and the ability to connect mathematical concepts with real situations that are culturally relevant. Ethnomathematics-based problems make learning more contextual, meaningful, and interactive because they connect cultural experiences with formal mathematical concepts. The application of SASAMBO ethnomathematics can be an effective strategy in developing Basic Mathematics learning that is relevant to local culture and supports the implementation of Independent Learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau literatur terkait integrasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (ICT) dalam pembelajaran matematika abad 21. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada bagaimana ICT berkontribusi dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi (4C) yang menjadi tuntutan utama di era digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan menganalisis berbagai artikel penelitian, laporan, dan publikasi akademik dalam kurun waktu 2015–2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ICT, baik dalam bentuk perangkat lunak pembelajaran, aplikasi interaktif, maupun platform digital, mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar, memperluas akses sumber belajar, serta memperkaya strategi pembelajaran matematika. Selain itu, integrasi ICT terbukti mendorong pembelajaran yang lebih kolaboratif, kontekstual, dan berpusat pada siswa. Namun demikian, tantangan yang muncul mencakup kesiapan guru dalam menguasai teknologi, keterbatasan infrastruktur, serta perlunya kurikulum yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi. Kajian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kompetensi digital guru, penyediaan sarana pendukung yang memadai, serta pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis ICT yang berorientasi pada keterampilan abad 21.

Abstract

Natural Sciences (IPA) learning at the junior high school level still faces the problem of low student learning interest due to the dominance of conventional learning and limited practicum facilities. This community service activity aims to increase the interest and motivation to learn science for grade VIII students of SMPN 2 Mataram through the practice of making STEM-based teaching aids (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in business and energy materials. The activity will be carried out in November 2025 by involving grade VIII students as the main participants. The implementation method includes the introduction of business and energy concepts, the practice of making simple teaching aids in groups, and evaluation through learning interest questionnaires and reflective discussions. The results showed that students were actively involved in the process of designing, manufacturing, and testing props, and showed high enthusiasm and participation during the learning process. The practice of making STEM-based props helps students understand the concepts of business and energy in a more concrete and contextual way. Based on the results of the evaluation, this activity has been proven to have a positive impact on increasing students' interest and motivation to learn science. Thus, the practice of making STEM-based teaching aids can be an effective and sustainable alternative to innovative learning to improve the quality of science learning at the junior high school level, even with limited laboratory facilities.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri dan berpikir kreatif merupakan kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika abad ke-21. Namun, dalam praktik pembelajaran di sekolah menengah, kedua kemampuan tersebut masih belum berkembang secara optimal karena pembelajaran cenderung bersifat prosedural dan kurang kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pembelajaran STEM memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Madapangga dan seorang guru matematika yang dipilih secara purposive. Pembelajaran STEM diterapkan pada materi geometri melalui aktivitas pemecahan masalah kontekstual dan kerja kelompok. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, analisis hasil kerja siswa, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran STEM memfasilitasi siswa dalam memahami permasalahan geometri secara lebih mendalam, mengembangkan strategi penyelesaian yang beragam, serta mengaitkan konsep geometri dengan konteks kehidupan nyata. Selain itu, kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa tampak berkembang pada aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian, dan elaborasi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran STEM berpotensi menjadi pendekatan inovatif dalam mendukung pengembangan kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri dan berpikir kreatif siswa SMA.
