Abstract

The Problem Submission and Solving (JUCAMA) learning model is a learning model that is oriented towards problem submission and solving to improve students' creative thinking skills.The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of ethnomathematics JUCAMA learning models and to determine the influence of the mathematical habits of mind on the creative thinking ability of students. The research method used for this research is a mixed-method using a sequential explanatory design. The population in this study were students of class VIII in Junior High School of State at Sub-District Donggo Regency of Bima which is not a One-stop Middle School and the sample is class VIII of Junior High School of State 3 Donggo. Class VIII/A is the control class and class VIII/B is the experimental class. The results was showed that the average creative thinking ability of students taught by using etnomathematics JUCAMA learning model more higher than the average thinking ability of students taught by problem-based learning. Students who are taught with the ethnomathematical JUCAMA learning model experience an increase in creative thinking skills in the medium category, while students who are taught with problem-solving learning models experience an increase in creative thinking skills in the low category based on the N-gain category. In improving the creative thinking ability, the ethnomathematics JUCAMA learning models were applied to the experimental class more effective than problem-solving learning models were applied to the control class. There is the influence of the mathematical habits of mind on the creative thinking ability of students.

Abstract

Natural Sciences (IPA) learning at the junior high school level still faces the problem of low student learning interest due to the dominance of conventional learning and limited practicum facilities. This community service activity aims to increase the interest and motivation to learn science for grade VIII students of SMPN 2 Mataram through the practice of making STEM-based teaching aids (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in business and energy materials. The activity will be carried out in November 2025 by involving grade VIII students as the main participants. The implementation method includes the introduction of business and energy concepts, the practice of making simple teaching aids in groups, and evaluation through learning interest questionnaires and reflective discussions. The results showed that students were actively involved in the process of designing, manufacturing, and testing props, and showed high enthusiasm and participation during the learning process. The practice of making STEM-based props helps students understand the concepts of business and energy in a more concrete and contextual way. Based on the results of the evaluation, this activity has been proven to have a positive impact on increasing students' interest and motivation to learn science. Thus, the practice of making STEM-based teaching aids can be an effective and sustainable alternative to innovative learning to improve the quality of science learning at the junior high school level, even with limited laboratory facilities.

Abstract

Pembelajaran geometri di SMP masih cenderung bersifat abstrak dan kurang kontekstual, sehingga kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa belum berkembang secara optimal. Pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) yang diintegrasikan dengan etnomatematika memberikan pengalaman belajar kontekstual melalui pemanfaatan budaya lokal sebagai sumber belajar matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran STEM berbasis etnomatematika terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest–posttest control group. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas SMPN 1 Madapangga Kelas VIII, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan pembelajaran STEM berbasis etnomatematika dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional dengan jumlah masing-masing siswa 30 orang setiap kelas. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri yang disusun berdasarkan indikator pemecahan masalah matematis. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik inferensial untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan antara kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran STEM berbasis etnomatematika dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran STEM berbasis etnomatematika efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri siswa SMP. Dengan demikian, pendekatan ini dapat dijadikan alternatif pembelajaran inovatif yang kontekstual dan relevan dalam pembelajaran matematika di SMP.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya pada materi geometri yang menuntut pemahaman visual dan penalaran spasial. Namun, pembelajaran geometri di kelas masih cenderung bersifat prosedural sehingga kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik belum berkembang secara optimal. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan mendorong keterlibatan aktif peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi pembelajaran STEM terintegrasi proyek terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen. Penelitian di lakukan di SMP N 1 Madapangga pada kelas IX dan subjek penelitian terdiri atas 50 peserta didik yang dibagi ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran STEM terintegrasi proyek, sedangkan kelompok kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri peserta didik pada kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata peningkatan skor kelompok eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelompok kontrol, yang menunjukkan efektivitas pembelajaran STEM terintegrasi proyek. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran STEM terintegrasi proyek berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri peserta didik dan dapat dijadikan alternatif pembelajaran matematika yang lebih bermakna.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of local SASAMBO (Sasak, Sumbawa, and Mbojo) cultural elements into ethnomathematics-based Basic Mathematics learning problems. The approach used was descriptive qualitative, with data sources consisting of evaluation questions that integrate mathematical concepts within a cultural context. Data were analyzed through stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion to uncover the relevance between local cultural values ​​and mathematical concepts such as sets, logic, and meaning. The results show that using the SASAMBO cultural context in mathematics problems can improve conceptual understanding, strengthen character, and foster student learning motivation. This improvement can be seen in the evaluation results which show progress in mastery of the material and the ability to connect mathematical concepts with real situations that are culturally relevant. Ethnomathematics-based problems make learning more contextual, meaningful, and interactive because they connect cultural experiences with formal mathematical concepts. The application of SASAMBO ethnomathematics can be an effective strategy in developing Basic Mathematics learning that is relevant to local culture and supports the implementation of Independent Learning.

Abstract

Education for sustainable development at the elementary level still prioritizes cognitive knowledge over behavioral and attitudinal competencies, producing students who describe sustainability principles without enacting them in daily economic life. In Bima City, indigenous Mbojo values bearing on economic responsibility are largely absent from classroom practice, and no study has empirically examined a Mbojo-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. This study tested whether the model strengthened sustainable economic behavior and caring economic attitudes among fifth-grade students. Using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control-group design at SDN 19 Kota Bima (2025/2026), 50 students were assigned by intact class to experimental (n = 25) or control (n = 25) groups. Two validated self-report questionnaires measured sustainable economic behavior (25 items, α = .87) and caring economic attitudes (24 items, α = .89), supplemented by a five-dimension performance rubric and structured observation protocol. After eight sessions, posttest scores favored the experimental group: sustainable economic behavior, t(48) = 8.43, p < .001, Hedges' g = 2.14, 95% CI [1.47, 2.81], N-Gain = 0.58 vs. 0.24; caring economic attitudes, t(48) = 7.91, p < .001, Hedges' g = 1.95, 95% CI [1.30, 2.60], N-Gain = 0.61 vs. 0.22. These unusually large effects, together with the single-site sample, intact-group assignment, and the teacher's dual role as implementer and assessor, warrant cautious interpretation. The findings offer preliminary evidence that embedding indigenous Mbojo principles within structured PjBL can shape behavioral and dispositional dimensions of elementary economic learning; multi-site replication with independent assessment is needed before efficacy can be generalized

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau literatur terkait integrasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (ICT) dalam pembelajaran matematika abad 21. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada bagaimana ICT berkontribusi dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi (4C) yang menjadi tuntutan utama di era digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan menganalisis berbagai artikel penelitian, laporan, dan publikasi akademik dalam kurun waktu 2015–2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ICT, baik dalam bentuk perangkat lunak pembelajaran, aplikasi interaktif, maupun platform digital, mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar, memperluas akses sumber belajar, serta memperkaya strategi pembelajaran matematika. Selain itu, integrasi ICT terbukti mendorong pembelajaran yang lebih kolaboratif, kontekstual, dan berpusat pada siswa. Namun demikian, tantangan yang muncul mencakup kesiapan guru dalam menguasai teknologi, keterbatasan infrastruktur, serta perlunya kurikulum yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi. Kajian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kompetensi digital guru, penyediaan sarana pendukung yang memadai, serta pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis ICT yang berorientasi pada keterampilan abad 21.
