Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' learning outcomes in grade VII of SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa through the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This research was a classroom action research with 25 students of grade VII SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa as the subjects. The data collection techniques used were observation and tests. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles, which included planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. In Cycle I, the average student score was 71.64 with a classical completeness percentage of 60%. In Cycle II, the average score increased to 84.2 with a classical completeness percentage of 88%. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model can improve students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

Education is the key to forming quality human resources, with education it will shape the nation's character and dignity which will make the nation's life more intelligent. In education, teachers have a very significant role in forming quality human resources, organizing learning that will be applied in learning, especially the Problem Based Learning learning model, this learning model is learning by solving problems in a structured manner, this research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based Learning learning model in learning for class IX students at Unismuh Makassar Middle School. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles which included planning, action, observation and reflection stages. The results of this research showed an increase in student learning outcomes after implementing the Problem Based Learning model. In the first cycle, the students' average score was 71.00. In the second cycle the students' average score increased to 85.92. This increase shows the effect of implementing the problem based learning model which can encourage students' ability to think critically, and students will be more active in learning which will improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of class IX.A1 students of SMP Unismuh Makassar through the implementation of differentiated learning. The subjects of the study consisted of 20 female students in the 2024/202 academic year. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The differentiated learning implemented involves three main elements, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The results of the study showed an increase in student learning outcomes in each cycle with a minimum completion value (KKM) of 75. In the first cycle, the average student learning outcome was 74.4 with a classical completion percentage of 50%. In the second cycle, the average increased to 88.1 with a classical completion percentage of 100%.

Abstract

This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa through the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by Student Worksheets (LKPD). The subjects in this study were 28 class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa, consisting of 12 male students and 16 female students. The object of this study was the results of mathematics learning. The research instrument used Student Worksheets (LKPD). The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive percentage techniques. The results of the study showed that the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by Student Worksheets (LKPD) can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. This can be proven by the increase from pre-action to cycle II, namely the results of pre-action reached an average of student learning outcomes of 26.35 with a learning completion percentage of 0%, the results of cycle I reached an average of student learning outcomes of 79.03 with a learning completion percentage of 100 and the results of cycle II reached an average of learning outcomes of 90.03 with a learning completion percentage of 100%.
