Abstract

This study was motivated by the use of the book Al-‘Arabiyah lil Jāmi’ Volume I in the Arabic language matriculation program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung, which is not yet fully suited to the needs of new students with varying levels of initial proficiency. This study aims to analyze the suitability of the book based on four aspects of BSNP assessment, namely content, language, presentation, and graphics. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach through content analysis with documentation techniques on the material structure, language characteristics, and chapter presentation. The results of the study indicate that this book is suitable for use as a matriculation learning resource; the material is arranged in a logical sequence, the language is easy for beginners to understand, and the graphic design is quite supportive. However, several shortcomings were found in the presentation aspect, such as the absence of chapter summaries, a glossary, and references, as well as illustrations that are not accompanied by explanations. Overall, this book is relevant for use, but it needs improvement to better meet the standards of an ideal textbook.

Abstract

Arabic speaking proficiency (maharah al-kalam) continues to face pedagogical challenges, particularly in pronunciation, vocabulary, and contextual comprehension. This study aims to analyze the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in visual illustrations as instructional media to enhance Arabic speaking skills. Employing a systematic literature review method, the study examines 20 selected articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings reveal that AI-generated visual media significantly improve learners’ vocabulary acquisition, contextual understanding, and engagement in speaking activities. The study implies that AI can be effectively utilized as a pedagogical tool to promote more interactive and context-based Arabic instruction. Its primary contribution lies in proposing a visually oriented AI approach, distinguishing it from previous research that largely focused on text-based applications or chatbot systems.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis transformasi pembelajaran Sejarah Peradaban Islam di era digital melalui studi literatur sistematis terhadap 30 artikel jurnal terindeks SINTA dan Scopus periode 2019-2024. Hasil penelitian mengungkap tiga tren transformasi utama: pertama, transformasi konten dan akses melalui digitalisasi sumber primer, museum virtual, dan teknologi imersif; kedua, transformasi pedagogis dengan adopsi flipped classroom, pembelajaran berbasis proyek, dan digital storytelling; ketiga, transformasi literasi dan keterampilan yang berfokus pada pengembangan literasi digital historis dan berpikir kritis. Analisis menunjukkan efektivitas signifikan integrasi digital dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar (effect size 0.45-0.78), pemahaman konseptual, dan keterampilan berpikir historis. Namun, tantangan utama meliputi kesenjangan digital, keterbatasan kompetensi TPACK guru, isu kualitas konten digital, dan risiko reduksionisme teknologi yang menyederhanakan narasi sejarah kompleks. Disimpulkan bahwa transformasi digital pembelajaran Sejarah Peradaban Islam memerlukan pendekatan seimbang yang menyinergikan inovasi teknologi dengan kedalaman pedagogis dan ketelitian metodologi sejarah.
