Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of digital technology in Islamic religious learning with an interdisciplinary approach involving the disciplines of education, psychology, technology, and Islamic studies. The research uses a research study method with a descriptive qualitative approach that emphasizes the understanding of phenomena, practices, and perceptions of teachers and students in a real context. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature studies, then analyzed thematically with reduction, presentation, triangulation, and verification procedures. The results of the study show that digital transformation has changed the learning method from lectures and face-to-face to interactive learning based on digital platforms such as LMS, Google Classroom, Zoom, and Islamic applications. The interdisciplinary approach ensures the integration of pedagogical, psychological, technological, and Islamic values so that learning is more innovative, humanistic, and relevant. Digital technology has been proven to increase access to religious information, learning motivation, flexibility, collaboration, and evaluation effectiveness, although it still requires digital literacy and teacher supervision. Thus, digital technology becomes a strategic instrument in improving the quality of Islamic learning that is adaptive, inclusive, and based on spiritual values.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the planning, implementation, and assessment of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at 193 Barru State Elementary School. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to gain an in-depth and contextual understanding of PAI learning practices that take place in schools. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using source and method triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the PAI learning plan has been prepared according to the curriculum and meets administrative completeness, but it is still normative and less innovative and not fully oriented to students. The implementation of learning is conducive and religious, but it is still dominated by a teacher-centered approach with limited variations in learning methods and media. Meanwhile, PAI learning assessments tend to focus on cognitive aspects, while affective and psychomotor assessments have not been carried out systematically and measurably. This research emphasizes the importance of developing more creative, participatory, and holistic PAI learning in order to be able to form students who have faith, noble character, and are able to practice Islamic teachings in daily life.

Abstract

This literature review explores the theoretical foundations of Islamic Educational Psychology and its practical implementation in contemporary educational settings. By integrating modern psychological theories with Islamic values derived from the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical as well as contemporary scholarly thought, Islamic Educational Psychology offers a holistic perspective on human development. The findings show that Islamic psychology emphasizes the balanced growth of the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of learners. This integrative perspective provides a more comprehensive alternative to secular psychological theories, which often overlook the spiritual dimension of human behavior. The review also highlights the relevance of Islamic Educational Psychology in addressing modern educational challenges such as moral degradation, stress, and identity crises among students. Its implementation through the roles of teachers as murabbi, value-infused curricula, motivational frameworks based on sincerity and worship, and spiritually oriented therapeutic practices proves effective in strengthening students’ character, motivation, and psychological well-being. This study concludes that Islamic Educational Psychology plays a crucial role in shaping holistic educational practices that produce intellectually competent, emotionally stable, and spiritually grounded individuals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the basic concept of multicultural Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum development at SD Islam Athirah Makassar. The research is motivated by the need for educational practices that can respond effectively to cultural, religious, and social diversity in the era of globalization. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of the planning, implementation, and impact of the multicultural PAI curriculum. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using inductive techniques, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the multicultural PAI curriculum is based on the Athirah Integrated and Holistic Education System (AIHES), which integrates Qur’anic values with national and international curriculum standards. Its implementation is carried out through five interconnected educational processes: teaching, coaching, training, advisory, and consultancy. These processes support the contextual and continuous internalization of multicultural values within both classroom learning and school culture. The curriculum contributes to the development of students who are religious, tolerant, socially competent, and capable of interacting positively within diverse environments while maintaining their Islamic identity. This study concludes that the multicultural PAI curriculum at SD Islam Athirah Makassar represents an integrative and contextual model of Islamic education that is relevant to the needs of a multicultural society. The curriculum serves not only as a medium for transmitting religious values but also as an effective instrument for fostering inclusive character and global awareness among students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of multicultural-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) in the 11th grade at SMA Tonasa 1 Pangkep, its impact on students, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained thru observations, interviews with teachers and school principals, as well as learning documentation. The research results show that the implementation of multicultural-based PBL proceeds gradually and contextually by utilizing problems that are close to students' social experiences. This model encourages students to be more active, enhances critical thinking skills, learning participation, tolerance, empathy, communication, and appreciation of differences. Conceptually, multicultural-based PBL contributes to the formation of active, inclusive, and humanistic learning, while theologically it is grounded in the values of the Qur'an, specifically Qs. Al-Mumtahanah verse 8 and Qs. Al-Hujurat verse 13. Supporting factors for the implementation of this model include teacher commitment, the formation of heterogeneous groups, contextual problem design, and learning device support. The inhibiting factors include time constraints, curriculum load, limited facilities, and differences in students' communication skills. This study concludes that multicultural-based PBL has the potential to enhance students' academic competence as well as their social attitudes if supported by teacher facilitation, an inclusive school environment, and parental involvement.

Abstract

The focus of the research includes the implementation of the Mappadendang tradition as the local wisdom of the community, the values of Islamic education contained in it, the analysis of the tradition from the perspective of Islamic Education, and its relevance to the learning of Islamic Religious Education. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a type of field research. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving traditional leaders, religious leaders, village governments, traditional actors, and communities involved in the implementation of Mappadendang. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model which included data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the Mappadendang tradition is still preserved by the people of Barru Regency as a form of expression of gratitude for the harvest as well as a means of strengthening the community's social relations. This tradition contains Islamic educational values which include the value of gratitude, Islamic ukhuwah, mutual cooperation, cooperation, responsibility, and noble morals. From the perspective of Islamic Education, the Mappadendang tradition is acceptable as long as it does not contradict the aqidah and sharia of Islam. This tradition has a strong relevance to Islamic Religious Education because it can be used as a source of learning based on local wisdom that supports the formation of students' character. Therefore, the Mappadendang tradition not only functions as a cultural heritage, but also as an educational medium that integrates local cultural values with Islamic teachings in people's lives.
