Abstract

The researchers wanted to analyze teachers' perspectives on the impact of online English teaching in primary schools. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. One of the primary schools participated in the study. Data was collected via interviews with one of the English teachers in elementary school. Based on the findings, it was determined that numerous online learning programs are used by educators in distance learning, including Zoom, Google Sites, Google Meet, WhatsApp, Youtube, and others. The results also show a positive impact of online English teaching, namely, more flexible means that it can be done anytime and anywhere and easy to access, Improve the teacher's cognitive skill to use technology, and save time and can be done anytime. While the negative impacts are; the interaction between teachers and students is reduced lack of student motivation in online learning, lack of quality, limited quota, and disrupted internet network

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Google Sites on students' scientific literacy skills by comparing the scientific literacy skills of experimental and control classes at SDN 067251 Medan Deli. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with Non equivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. In this study, The population was all fifth-grade students, 40 students in total. The instrument used in this study is a science literacy test. The results showed the sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 < 0.05, it means Problem-Based Learning assisted by Google Sites affects students' scientific literacy skills.Keywords: Problem-Based Leraning, Google Sites, Scientific Literacy.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has driven a transformation in elementary education toward more interactive and collaborative learning aligned with 21st-century competencies. This study conducts a systematic literature review of publications from 2020 to 2025 to map the implementation of digital-based STEM in elementary schools, the learning models employed, the impacts on student outcomes, and the challenges encountered. Article searches were conducted in Google Scholar and the SINTA-indexed database, following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, yielding 10 studies for thematic analysis. The review indicates the use of interactive e-modules, digital videos, learning applications, virtual laboratories, and educational robotics, which generally enhance learning outcomes, creativity, numeracy literacy, critical thinking, and computational thinking. Key challenges include limited infrastructure, teacher readiness, and inconsistent quality of digital media. The findings underscore the need for policy support, improved teacher competencies, and higher-quality digital learning resources to optimize the integration of digital-based STEM in elementary education.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di tingkat sekolah dasar berperan signifikan dalam membantu siswa memahami konsep ilmiah sekaligus mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis sejak usia dini. Dalam pelaksanaannya, pembelajaran IPA masih dihadapkan pada berbagai kendala, di antaranya kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep, terjadinya miskonsepsi, serta terbatasnya penerapan pembelajaran berbasis eksperimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis problematika pembelajaran IPA berdasarkan perspektif guru kelas IV SD HKBP Pardamean. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur yang terdiri dari lima pertanyaan utama mengenai kesulitan belajar siswa, miskonsepsi, latihan soal, pendekatan pembelajaran, serta faktor penyebab pembelajaran kurang optimal. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan utama siswa adalah memahami konsep yang bersifat abstrak karena masih berada pada tahap berpikir konkret, serta keterbatasan sarana pembelajaran seperti fasilitas laboratorium IPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual pada materi perubahan wujud benda dalam pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV SD HKBP Pardamean Medan. Pembelajaran kontekstual merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengaitkan materi pelajaran dengan situasi nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga siswa dapat memahami konsep secara lebih bermakna. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari guru dan siswa kelas IV SD HKBP Pardamean Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dan wawancara untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual pada materi perubahan wujud benda dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Siswa lebih aktif dalam mengamati, bertanya, dan mengaitkan materi dengan pengalaman sehari – hari, seperti proses mencairnya es, menguapnya air, dan membekunya air. Selain itu, pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan membantu siswa memahami konsep perubahan wujud benda secara lebih konkret.
