Abstract

To achieve good governance, library need an integrated quality control of allits elements. Consequently, the quality manual device for library activities is needed. Quality manual is a coordinated activities to direct, control and organize so that the quality or performance of library standard can be achieved. Quality manual is basically a concise statement of policies, objectives, and key processes. Library standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is part of quality standards  developed by the library. in general, preparation of SOP includes four steps, i.e. needs analysis, SOP, SOP development, SOP implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Therefore, it can procedure SOP concistenly appropriate to the needs to support the completeness of the integrated quality management in the libraries.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang komitmen pimpinan peguruan tinggi keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN) dalam mendukung Gerakan Open Access Repository (OAR). Saat ini penerapan open access repository di PTKIN belum seluruhnya menunjukkan hasil yang menggembirakan, soalnya masih banyak institutional repository PTKIN yang belum menjalankan diseminasi hasil penelitian, karya ilmiah, skripsi, tesis, dan disertasi secara utuh (fulltext) karena berbagai alasan. Permasalahan ini menuntut komitmen Pimpinan PTKIN, karena jika infrastruktur (perpustakaan jaringan internet, instalasi aplikasi untuk mengunggah publikasi ilmiah) dan  sumber daya manusia (SDM) tenaga TI sudah siap maka tinggal menunggu realisasi komitmen pimpinan untuk mendukung gerakan open access repository tersebut. Prinsip dalam menyebarluaskan ilmu pengetahuan adalah merupakan sebagian perintah agama sebagai sarana dakwah, sehingga komitmen pimpinan dalam memberikan dukungan terhadap gerakan OAR adalah merupakan bagian dari paradigma profetik.  Tujuan dari gerakan open access repository (OAR) ini bukan sekedar sebagai sarana untuk menyimpan file-file karya ilmiah akan tetapi bisa sebagai alat kontrol publikasi ilmiah berikutnya agar tidak ada repetisi, duplikasi dan plagiasi. Kemudian bisa juga sebagai sarana untuk mengatasi minimnya anggaran karena alasan tidak dana menerbitkan buku. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dari wawancara terstruktur, data lapangan dan dokumen terkait. Objek penelitian ini adalah surat keputusan rektor terkait dalam pengembangan institutional repository sebagai pejabat pengambil kebijakan yang akan memayungi implementasi OAR sebagai wujud komitmen pimpinan dalam paradigma profetik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan wacana terhadap solusi gerakan akses sama rata dalam mengatasi kesenjangan informasi di lingkungan PTKIN dalam rangka syiar Islam membangun peradaban Islam sesuai cita-cita Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the Pesantren’s response to the use of digital applications of classical books as open sources of education. Starting from the phenomenon of using al-maktabah sya> milah software in Pesantren Salaf (traditional Islamic boarding schools) where they have a scientific tradition of using printed Kitab Kuning (Islamic classical books) for quite a long time. The presence of a digital media transformation called al-maktabah sya>milah is an alternative for searching information on classical books in Pesantrens. Then, this article questions on the emergence of al-maktabah syu> mila NU fi>ha software at the Pesantren Assalafiyyah, Mlangi, Sleman, Yogyakarta in response to the presence of al-maktabah sya>milah. Syu>mila NU containing digital books by mu'tabar ulama taught in Pesantren Salaf, while Syamilah containing books by Arabic ulama allegedly carrying Wahhabi understanding. This has led to a contestation between the two Kitab Kuning digital applications in the Pesantren Salaf. This article uses an interpretive qualitative descriptive approach from library document data, multi-site, and software. The author analyzes the information on both the software and the related web. Maktabah syu> mila NU fi>ha software development is defensive which aims to fortify the Pesantren from the influence of the syamilah maktabah understanding which brings Wahhabi; a intolerant, apolitical, anti-tradition, and transnational understanding. The presence of this application appeared various responses from the pesantrens. Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadi'in Lirboyo, Kediri tends to be skeptical whether Pesantren Assalafiyyah Mlangi, Yogyakarta is more neutral, and Pesantren Salafiyyah Syafi’iyyah Sukorejo, Situbondo tends to be moderate and optimistic. This response is inseparable from the pesantren policy which is contained in the board’s rules for the use of electronic devices.

Abstract

It is ironic when reog Ponorogo (traditional art) was claimed by outsider (Malaysia) be a public attention especially, and Indonesian people generally. But the more ironic when Ponorogo didn’t have a study center about reog Ponorogo particularly and history and culture of Ponorogo generally. Library of STAIN Ponorogo as a preserver of history and culture had a significaant role to do it. Ponorogo corner service in it will be a service to respond information about Ponorogo, and it would be potential and distinctive service than any other services on other libraries.

Abstract

Website accessibility and digital content for people with disabilities in Indonesia are still low. According to the Internet Inclusive Index Data, Indonesia ranks 66th out of 120 other countries with a score of 69.75 and does not meet the standards of the Web Content Accessibility Guideline. Although Indonesia has Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities and ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability (UNCRPD) in 2011, the right to information technology accessibility has not been fully fulfilled. This research identifies the factors of the digital divide for people with disabilities and seeks solutions to achieve the concept of inclusive digital. As normative juridical research, a statutory approach is used and analysed in a qualitative descriptive manner. The factors causing the digital divide involve legal substance, institutional structure, and community culture. Inclusive digital can be realised with exemplary implementation of Article 5 and Article 127 of Law Number 8 of 2016. The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology must provide a unique portal as a universal design reference, creating an accessible digital information ecosystem. In the cultural context, there needs to be a shift from the paradigm of compassion to human rights, where people with disabilities have information technology capabilities. Society must also create an inclusive environment in which persons with disabilities are considered equal to non-disabled persons and no longer excluded from their environment.

Abstract

Introduction. This article describes the names of scientific publications journals in the field of libraries and information, which are increasing in number, and the increasing activity of publishing scientific works that encourage librarians to develop writing habits.Methodology. This article employs a qualitative descriptive semantic approach by using various multi-site names of library journals and information in the PTKIN environment. The focus of this paper lies in the uniqueness of naming library and information journals in the PTKIN environment.Results and discussion. The results showed that the journal's name contains terms derived from Indonesian, local languages, and foreign languages. In addition, there is also the name of the journal, which is an abbreviation of letters that makes it easy to recognize.Conclusion. The names of library and information journals in the PTKIN environment tend to contain the meaning of university libraries in a general sense or things related to library materials.

Abstract

This research aims to encourage the role of libraries as learning resource centers. The rise of coffee shops is a challenge for library service developers. The paradigm shift and the pattern of user habits in obtaining information have had an impact on the decrease in the number of library visitors. The coffee shop offers a free space with a wide selection of food and soft drinks to meet and discuss with colleagues. The problem that arises then is how libraries can answer the challenge of changing user behavior in spreading information. This article tries to explain one of the efforts to provide a user-based service. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to describe the strategic role of libraries in the reality of changing people's information behavior. Secondary data from the previous article were collected and then analyzed descriptively and systematically. The validity of the supporting data is sufficient if it can answer this research problem. The results of this study provide an overview of the urgency of café-style co-working in libraries. Coworking spaces can be designed to resemble coffee shops with a variety of offerings while discussing collaboratively with visitors. Of course, the space is equipped with convenient supporting devices, such as an electricity connection, internet, adequate lighting, music, air conditioning, and flexible service hours. The coworking space in the library also provides access to services for journals and e-books. The library must also be ready to help users who have difficulties using electronic services.

Abstract

Peran hubungan masyarakat (humas) dalam lembaga pendidikan sangat penting dalam membentuk citra positif dan menjalin komunikasi efektif dengan berbagai pihak sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen humas di SMA Negeri 1 Sambit dalam meningkatkan citra sekolah sebagai "Sekolah Sehat", dengan fokus pada aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Observasi dilakukan terhadap kegiatan humas seperti publikasi kegiatan, pelaksanaan event sekolah, dan penggunaan media sosial. Wawancara dilakukan untuk memperoleh pandangan dan pengalaman dari informan terkait pelaksanaan humas di sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model interaktif yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Huberman, yaitu meliputi tiga tahapan utama: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan humas di SMA Negeri 1 Sambit telah disusun secara sistematis menggunakan pendekatan RACE (Research, Action, Communication, Evaluation). Namun, pelaksanaan terutama dalam ranah digital melalui media sosial belum optimal karena konten yang belum konsisten dan kurang momen. Evaluasi dilakukan secara rutin pada akhir bulan dan semester yang mencakup aspek input, proses, dan output. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peran strategis humas sekolah dalam membangun citra yang kuat dan adaptif, terlebih di era digital selain itu humas bertugas menyampaikan informasi yang benar, akurat, dan membangun reputasi sekolah sehingga masyarakat memiliki persepsi yang baik terhadap kualitas pendidikan dan layanan sekolah.
