Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the legal politics of tin mining governance from the perspective of sustainable development in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The research focused on environmental degradation caused by tin mining activities, weak implementation of post-mining reclamation, and the lack of optimal supervision and law enforcement in mining activities. This study employed normative legal research using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. The results showed that the legal politics of tin mining governance had tended to prioritize the exploitation of natural resources rather than environmental protection and social sustainability. This condition was reflected in the increasing number of critical post-mining areas, coastal environmental degradation, and the growth of illegal mining activities in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The study concluded that the reconstruction of mining legal politics should be directed toward strengthening sustainable development principles through the optimization of post-mining reclamation, strengthening environmental supervision, enforcing laws against illegal mining, and enhancing the protection of communities and the environment within mining policies.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Pancasila values and Islamic teachings in civic education from the perspective of the Qur’an and Hadith, and its implications for educational participation and gender equality in Bangka Regency. The study is motivated by the need to strengthen civic education through a value-based approach that aligns national ideology with religious principles. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, drawing on scholarly journal articles and normative sources, including the Qur’an and Hadith. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify conceptual relationships and thematic patterns. The findings indicate that Pancasila values, such as divinity, humanity, and social justice, are substantively aligned with Islamic teachings, particularly in promoting equality, justice, and moral responsibility. The Qur’anic perspective emphasizes the equality of all human beings regardless of gender, supporting equal access to education as a fundamental right. The integration of these values in civic education contributes to strengthening moral awareness and encouraging active participation in education. However, the study also identifies challenges in implementation, including socio-cultural barriers and limited contextual understanding of religious teachings, which may hinder gender equality in educational access and participation. The study concludes that a more systematic and contextualized approach is needed to effectively integrate these values in civic education. Further empirical research is recommended to explore practical implementation and its impact at the local level.

Abstract

The recognition of indigenous peoples’ rights remains a crucial legal issue in Indonesia despite constitutional guarantees and Constitutional Court Decision Number 35/PUU-X/2012. This study aims to analyze the legal politics of indigenous peoples’ rights recognition following the decision from a human rights perspective. The research employed normative legal research using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. Legal materials were collected through library research and analyzed qualitatively through legal interpretation and legal reasoning. The findings reveal that Constitutional Court Decision Number 35/PUU-X/2012 strengthened the constitutional position of indigenous peoples by affirming that customary forests are no longer part of state forests. However, the implementation of indigenous rights recognition continues to face challenges, including administrative barriers, regulatory fragmentation, and the absence of comprehensive legislation. From a human rights perspective, these challenges indicate a gap between constitutional recognition and substantive rights protection. Therefore, legal harmonization and institutional reforms are necessary to ensure the effective realization of indigenous peoples’ constitutional and human rights in Indonesia.

Abstract

Agricultural land conversion has become a legal and economic challenge that affects food security and the sustainability of the agribusiness sector. This study aimed to analyze the juridical aspects of Sustainable Food Agricultural Land Protection (LP2B) policy in controlling land conversion and examining its impacts on agribusiness sustainability. This research used a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The study analyzed legal regulations, legal principles, and relevant academic literature related to agricultural land protection. The findings showed that LP2B policy had provided a legal framework through land designation, conversion control mechanisms, incentives, and institutional arrangements. However, the effectiveness of LP2B implementation was still influenced by regulatory synchronization, institutional capacity, and supervision mechanisms. The study also found that agricultural land protection had a significant relationship with agribusiness sustainability because land availability determined production continuity, farmers’ economic stability, and agricultural development. This research emphasized that LP2B should be implemented as an integrated legal instrument connecting agrarian protection, spatial governance, and agricultural economic sustainability.

Abstract

Civic education in elementary schools still faces challenges in developing students’ civic intelligence as learning often focuses more on content mastery than critical thinking and civic problem-solving skills. Meanwhile, Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers opportunities to support more adaptive, interactive, and contextual learning. However, studies specifically examining the integration of AI into Pancasila Education to support the development of civic intelligence remain limited. This study aims to analyze the integration of Artificial Intelligence in Pancasila Education learning and its potential to support the development of civic intelligence among elementary school students. This study employed a qualitative approach using an integrative literature review design. Data were collected from national and international journal articles, scholarly books, and relevant academic documents and were analyzed through content analysis involving data reduction, thematic categorization, interpretation, and synthesis. The findings suggest that AI has the potential to support Pancasila Education through adaptive learning systems, intelligent tutoring systems, educational chatbots, and learning analytics, thereby promoting more contextual and student-centered learning. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of AI implementation largely depends on teachers' ability to design meaningful learning experiences and ensure the ethical use of AI in accordance with the objectives of Pancasila Education.
