Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan perangkat lunak desain SketchUp dan AutoCAD yang dilaksanakan di SMKN 1 Nganjuk untuk meningkatkan keterampilan gambar kerja siswa jurusan Desain Pemodelan dan Informasi Bangunan (DPIB). Metode pelatihan dirancang melalui tahapan pra pelatihan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, serta menerapkan pendekatan experiential learning dan project-based learning guna meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Kegiatan melibatkan dua dosen sebagai narasumber, dua mahasiswa sebagai asisten, dan 60 siswa peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan teknis siswa, dengan 93% peserta menyatakan pelatihan sangat membantu dalam memahami dan mengaplikasikan perangkat lunak desain. Sebanyak 70% siswa masuk kategori “Baik” dan 23,3% “Sangat Baik” dalam hasil akhir proyek gambar kerja. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan digital berbasis praktik mampu menjembatani kesenjangan antara kompetensi siswa dan kebutuhan industri, serta meningkatkan kesiapan lulusan untuk bersaing di dunia kerja konstruksi yang semakin digital.

Abstract

Universitas Negeri Surabaya berkolaborasi dengan University Malaya dalam program pengabdian masyarakat berbasis performance analysis untuk tim Badminton Selangor, Malaysia. Kegiatan ini bertujuan: (1) meningkatkan pemahaman pelatih tentang analisis performa berbasis data, (2) mengoptimalkan pengambilan keputusan strategis, dan (3) mengembangkan keterampilan individu atlet. Metode pelatihan mencakup workshop teori, simulasi praktik analisis data pertandingan, dan evaluasi berbasis tools digital. Hasilnya, peserta menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan analisis, terutama dalam mengklasifikasikan karakteristik atlet berdasarkan kelompok umur dan membangun rekam jejak digital. Program ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan ilmiah dalam kepelatihan dapat mendorong peningkatan prestasi tim secara sistematis.

Abstract

This study investigate the importance of drafting in AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) industry. The article goes beyond seeing drafting as a technical task of producing drawings, but as a visual art, as it transform abstract ideas into visual construction knowledge. It is interpretive as drafting requires judgment to select, organise, and to communicate technical, legal, spatial, and financial information. At the same time, drafting is also a synthesis as it brings those four different forms of knowledge altogether to become a unity of coordinated visual medium. Construction industry becomes multifaceted and more dependent on digital tools. Thus, this study brings literatures review from several fields to look at how drafting works in four significant areas. Firstly, it helps diverse professionals communicate. Second, it solves coordination problems. Third, it shows legal compliance. Last, it also supports budgeting. While each of these areas has been studied on its own, few studies connect them all through the role of drafting. This study suggests that drafting is not merely a technical task, but also shapes how construction projects happen. Because of this, the paper argues that professionals in the AEC field need to better understand how drafting affects teamwork, legal processes, and financial planning. The model shown in this paper can be a platform for new research, policy, and training to understand the influence of graphical representations, such as drafting, on the physical construction of buildings.
