Abstract

Earthquakes are one of the natural disasters which in reality cause quite a large impact, especially the number of victims caused. One location that has a fatal risk is school. In fact, school safety needs to be a global priority to face the threat of earthquake disasters. This negative impact is caused by a lack of knowledge and preparedness to anticipate an earthquake disaster. There is a need to increase preparedness to reduce the bad risks that may occur. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine the effect of pre-earthquake disaster training regarding splint dressing on the level of knowledge of students at SMA N 1 Pundong. The method used in this research was pre-experiment. The research design used was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research results showed that there was an Asymp.sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000, because the value of 0.000 is smaller than <0.05, it can be concluded that "Ha is accepted" which means there is a difference between the pretest and posttest results, so it can be concluded that there is an influence from the Pre-Earthquake Disaster Training on Wraps Bidai on Knowledge in Students and Students of SMA Negeri 1 Pundong.

Abstract

Spinal anesthesia is commonly used in surgical procedures but often leads to hypotension due to sympathetic blockade, which can seriously affect the patient's hemodynamic stability. To prevent this, the administration of lactated Ringer crystalloid fluid using preloading (before anesthesia) and coloading (during anesthesia) methods is widely implemented. This study aimed to compare the effects of preloading and coloading on blood pressure stability in patients undergoing spinal anesthesia at Roemani Muhammadiyah Semarang Hospital. A quantitative research method with a comparative observational design and cross-sectional approach was used, involving 40 patients divided equally into preloading and coloading groups. Blood pressure was measured before and after fluid administration, and data were analyzed using paired t-test and independent t-test. Results showed significant changes in blood pressure in both groups (p=0.000; p<0.05). Furthermore, the independent t-test indicated a significant difference between the two methods (p=0.019; p<0.05), with preloading proving more effective in maintaining blood pressure stability than coloading. In conclusion, there is a significant comparison between preloading and coloading of lactated Ringer crystalloid fluid on blood pressure in spinal anesthesia patients, with preloading showing a superior stabilizing effect on blood pressure.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background Head injury is an emergency condition that may occur in tourist destinations and requires appropriate initial management to prevent further deterioration of the victim’s condition. Tourism officers play a crucial role as first responders before victims receive advanced medical care. Objective: To determine the effect of head injury immobilization technique training on the skills of tourism officers at Umbul Pelem, Klaten. Methods: This study employed a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest–posttest approach. All 40 tourism officers in the study population were recruited as respondents through a total sampling technique. Respondents’ competency in performing head injury immobilization techniques was assessed using an observational checklist. Differences in skill levels before and after the intervention were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. Results: : Prior to the training, most respondents were categorized as not competent, whereas after the training, the majority were categorized as competent. The Wilcoxon test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant effect of head injury immobilization technique training on the skills of tourism officers. Conclusion: Head injury immobilization technique training was found to improve the skills of tourism officers in providing first aid for head injury cases. Abstract

Background: Burnout is a psychological syndrome characterized by emotional exhaustion, cynicism, and a reduced sense of professional efficacy. Anesthesiology nursing students face substantial academic and clinical practice demands, placing them at risk of experiencing burnout. This condition may negatively affect their caring behavior when providing perioperative anesthesiology nursing care. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 61 eighth-semester students from the Nurse Anesthesiology Program at Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta, selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and the Caring Behavior Inventory (CBI-24). Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman Rank correlation test. Results: The Spearman Rank test showed a correlation coefficient of -0.458 with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant negative relationship between burnout and caring behavior among anesthesiology nursing students. Higher levels of burnout were associated with lower levels of caring behavior in perioperative clinical practice. Most respondents experienced a moderate level of burnout (55.7%) and demonstrated a moderate level of caring behavior (60.7%). Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between burnout and caring behavior among anesthesiology nursing students in the provision of perioperative anesthesiology nursing care. Abstract
