Abstract

Slang is also referred to as a secret language, or used by certain circles or communities. The purpose of this study is to examine slang based on patterns, sources, context and purpose of use. This study uses qualitative descriptive research, which describes the phenomenon of slang used by gen z adolescents in Southwest Papua. Documentation, observation, recording, and interviews with 35 teenagers who regularly use slang are used as data gathering techniques. WhatsApp, Telegram, Twitter, and Discord are used as data sources. The period of data collecting was five months, from October 12, 2022, to February 12, 2023. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman method. According to the findings of data analysis on slang, there were 31 discovered three types, namely the development of form. (1) clipping, (2) blending, (3) borrowing. The results of the data analysis revealed a variety of information on Southwest Papuan slang used by Generation Z based on the language's origins, particularly Indonesian, foreign languages, and regional languages. The context of slang use takes place in (1) Calls for familiarity, (2) responding to likes and dislikes, and (3) responding to admiration. the purpose of using the slang they use to (1) validate their group (2) look cool or dashing

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the SAS (Synthetic- Structural Analytical) Learning Method on the literacy skills of the second graders of SD YPK Inamo, Sorong Regency. This research is research Pre- Experimentby Design One Group Pretest and Posttest. The population in this study were all second graders in SD YPK Inamo, Sorong Regency, with a sample of second graders, totaling 12 students. The data collection instruments used in this study were observation and tests Performance. The data analysis technique consists of four stages, namely the stages of validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, and hypothesis testing. The results of the instrument validity test were obtained with an average of 83.75. The results of the reliability test of the instrument items obtained the data Pretest of 0.823 and Posttest 0.683. From the analysis test, the normality test is obtained Shapiro-wilk from the pretest data 0.839 > 0.05 and posttest 0.187 > 0.05, then normal data is obtained from these data. From the analysis of hypothesis testing, it is obtained a sig value (2 tailed) of 0.000 <0.005, then H1 accepted and H0 was rejected, which means that the SAS learning method had an effect on the initial literacy skills of second graders at SD YPK Inamo, Sorong Regency.

Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of early reading skills in second grade students at SD YPK Bukit Sion Kuadas. The purpose was to determine the early reading ability of the students in that school. The approach was descriptive qualitative using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data collection steps such as data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the students' early reading ability was: students have difficulty identifying letters, changing words, pronouncing wrong words, stammering spelling, not understanding the contents of the reading, and having difficulty concentrating. The external factors that became the results of this study was the parents of students, they still lacked retraining at home to read. The student tends not to progress which results in the students not being able to read fluently. The role of parents in guiding in learning to read is very influential in improving children's early reading skills. The habit of learning to read should be more applied at home with simple methods in teaching, for example by using a short story book, or using colored alphabet cards as the teaching medium.

Abstract

This research examines the use of areca nut (Areca catechu) as a medium for learning Natural Sciences (IPA) at SD Muhammadiyah Lab School Unimuda Sorong. This research aims to explore the impact of using areca nut on students' understanding of science concepts, as well as the challenges faced in its implementation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that the use of areca nuts can increase student involvement in learning, introduce science concepts that are easier to understand, and raise awareness of local wisdom and the importance of environmental conservation. However, there are challenges related to the limited understanding of teachers in using this media effectively and the limited educational infrastructure in the area. This research suggests the need for training for teachers and improving educational facilities to optimize the use of nature-based learning media. It is hoped that the use of local wisdom in education can enrich students' learning experiences and strengthen their understanding of natural sciences.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile (PPP) at SDN 02 Amban, South Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua, as well as the impacts and challenges faced in strengthening student character. Character education based on Pancasila values ​​is very relevant in Papua, taking into account the cultural diversity and geographical challenges that exist. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and document analysis. The research results show that the implementation of PPP at SDN 02 Amban succeeded in integrating Pancasila values ​​such as mutual cooperation, social justice and humanity in learning. However, challenges such as limited teacher training, inadequate infrastructure, and lack of parent participation in character education are the main obstacles. This research suggests the need for increased teacher training, a greater role for parents, and improved infrastructure to support more effective PPP implementation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor penghambat implementasi pembelajaran daring dan mendeskripsikan cara implementasi pembelajaran daring siswa SD Inpres 68 Kota Sorong. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan descriptive qualitative. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa. Analisis data redukasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) faktor penghambat implemenatsi pembelajaran daring ada 5 yaitu: a) tidak bisa akses aplikasi belajar daring dimana Guru dan siswa masih belum paham tentang bagaimana cara menggunakan aplikasi belajar daring, b) keterbatasan ekonomi sehingga tidak semua siswa memiliki hp c) jaringan internet kurang baik dimana masih banyak siswa yang menggunakan jaringan seluler sehingga dalam membuka materi yang telah dibagikan oleh guru menjadi terhambat, d) biaya tinggi karena banyak siswa yang mengeluh mengenai biaya kuota walaupun dari pemerintah sudah ada namun dianggap tidak cukup, dan e) kurangnya pendampingan orang tua yang cenderung memiliki kesibukan pekerjaan dan 2) Implementasi pembelajaran daring menggunakan aplikasi whatsApp guru menyampaikan materi pembelajaran melalui WAG (WhatsApp Group). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat beberapa faktor penghambat dalam pembelajaran daring dan pembelajaran daring menggunakan bantuan aplikasi whatsapp.

Abstract

Kepala sekolah dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar berfungsi sebagai Educator, Manajer, Administrator, Supervisior, Leader, Inovator, Motivator. Tujuan Penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan peran kepala sekolah dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka di SD Negeri 02 Waisai dan faktor pendukung dan penghambat kepala sekolah dalam pengembangan kurikulum merdeka. Menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Data diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian peran kepala sekolah dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka bisa dikatakan sudah baik, kepala sekolah mampu menggerakkan, mengarahkan anggota secara tepat, memberikan bimbingan kepada guru dalam rangka rapat-rapat, mengikutsertakan guru dalam kegiatan pelatihan dan pembinaan, memberikan fasilitas baik sarana dan prasaran yang mendukung IKM di sekolah, monitoring dan evaluasi dengan mengadakan rapat secara rutin. Kepala sekolah sangat berperan dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka, meskipun masih ada beberapa hambatan yang perlu diatasi, diantaranya beberapa guru yang masih beradaptasi dengan perubahan pembelajaran, orang tua yang kurang berperan aktif. Faktor pendukungnya yaitu fasilitas sarana dan prasarana, sosialisasi kurikulum merdeka belajar, peran guru, serta peran orang tua. Bisa dikatakan bahwa Peran kepala sekolah dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka di SD Negeri 02 Waisai sudah baik. Peran kepala sekolah merupakan kepemimpinan yang melaksanakan perannya sebagai pendidik, supervisor dan pemimpin secara visioner dalam pengimplementasian kurikulum merdeka.

Abstract

This study intends to elucidate the effects of implementing the Pancasila student profile on the religious activities of elementary school students. The approach employed to cultivate student character in alignment with the Pancasila student profile, together with the facilitating aspects and challenges encountered in the execution of the Pancasila student profile within religious activities. This research is qualitative and descriptive in nature. The participants of the study included students, instructors, and principals from Elementary School Students Inpres 12 in Sorong Regency. The data collection methods employed in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis methodology employed an interactive paradigm involving data collection, data analysis, report compilation, and conclusion formulation. The findings indicated that the Pancasila student profile influenced the perceptions and outcomes for students at Elementary School Inpres 12. The approach employed to cultivate students into devoted and pious individuals entails spiritual awareness and adherence to God Almighty. Students exhibit noble character in their daily lives by displaying honesty, fairness, tolerance, self-control, and ethical interaction. Contributing elements encompass specialized studies that reinforce the Pancasila student profile. Furthermore, the impediment is the absence of training on the autonomous curriculum for school inhabitants.

Abstract

Learning media is one of the tools used to achieve learning. It is kind of visual or audio. Learning media is easy to understand the material from teacher’s explanation. This research is quantitative method with pre-experimental design. The sample of this research is the third students and the total number is 20 students. To analyse the data is used SPSS application to calculate the result of pre-test and post-test. Based on the result, the average of post-test score is 87.30 with the standard deviation 4.74 and the average of pre-test score is 72.75 with standard deviation 6.27. It means that those scores are calculated statistically to get the score of ttable 0.10 and the significant of paired samples test is 0.00 < 0.05, it indicates that there is an improvement of experimental class that uses comic media in writing sentence. The use of comic media can help the student in writing sentence and students motivate in learning process.

Abstract

The aim of the study to determine an effect of implementing the Discovery Learning model on developing the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills of fourth-grade learners at SD Inpres 13 Reni Ayau. The study employed a quantitative method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design experimental approach. The sample consisted of fiveteen learners in the experimental group and seventeen learners in the control group. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, and documentation. The analysis results indicated a significant effect on the improvement of FLN skills in the experimental group after the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. This model encouraged active student engagement, experiential learning, and increased learning independence. Therefore, the Discovery Learning model is effective in enhancing elementary learners' literacy and numeracy skills.
