Abstract

This research aims to 1) Knowing the career success that has been achieved by graduates in 2023 S1 Cosmetology Education. 2) Knowing the contribution of graduates' GPA in achieving career success in the beauty industry. 3) To find out the relationship between the academic value of graduates in 2023 S1 cosmetology education to career success in the beauty industry. The research approach uses quantitative with a correlation research method that is carried out online without limited time and place by utilizing digital platforms as a means of data collection, the subjects in this study are 35 graduates in 2023 S1 Cosmetology Education. The data collection technique used a likert scale with a questionnaire questionnaire instrument. The data analysis technique used the mean value and Pearson correlation at SPSS 25. The results of the study found that: (1) there are 46% of graduates with the most salary/income category 3 in 2021, which ranges from 5-10 million, compared to category 1 (23%), category 2 (14%) and category 4 (17%). (2) Academic scores based on GPAs obtained by graduates show that 77% of graduates get a GPA of category 4, which ranges from 3.51-4.00 and the remaining 23% get a GPA of category 3, which ranges from 3.00-3.50. (3) there was a very significant relationship between academic grades and graduate career success, with a Pearson correlation of 0.794 (p value = 0.000). Shows that academic grades are significantly related to the success of a graduate's career in the beauty industry. Suggestions for further research to further research related to the development of the beauty industry, new technologies, and other factors that affect the success of graduates' careers.

Abstract

Nutricosmetics are oral nutritional interventions designed to enhance skin health and aesthetics through internal biological mechanisms. The growing beauty-from-within trend has accelerated research on active compounds such as hydrolyzed collagen, oral hyaluronic acid, probiotics, and astaxanthin. This article synthesizes current scientific evidence by reviewing studies published between 2015 and 2025 retrieved from Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect. Eight key publications, including meta-analyses, systematic reviews, and randomized controlled trials (RCTs), were evaluated to determine the clinical effectiveness of nutricosmetics on skin parameters. Hydrolyzed collagen demonstrates the strongest evidence base, with a meta-analysis of 26 RCTs (~1,721 participants) reporting significant improvements in skin hydration and elasticity. Oral hyaluronic acid likewise shows benefits in hydration, elasticity, and wrinkle reduction, supported by findings from seven RCTs. Probiotic supplementation exhibits clinical efficacy in acne management via modulation of the gut–skin axis, while astaxanthin offers potential improvements in hydration and photoprotection, although current data remain limited. Variability in dosing, formulations, and study duration contributes to heterogeneity across trials. Overall, nutricosmetics present promising complementary strategies for enhancing skin hydration, elasticity, and age- related parameters. Standardized methodologies and long-term clinical trials are required to strengthen evidence- based recommendations.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk memperkuat kapasitas manajemen usaha dan strategi pemasaran digital pada BUMDesa Pengalangan Sejahtera di Gresik, Jawa Timur. Mitra menghadapi kendala dalam pencatatan keuangan, struktur organisasi, serta keterbatasan dalam promosi produk minyak biji bunga matahari yang memiliki potensi ekonomi tinggi. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui pelatihan manajemen sederhana dan pemasaran digital dengan pendekatan partisipatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman pengurus mengenai pencatatan keuangan, pembagian tugas organisasi, serta penerapan strategi branding dan promosi melalui media sosial. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan sederhana mampu menjadi langkah awal yang efektif dalam memperkuat daya saing produk unggulan desa.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the results of applying the Thailand makeup style to acne-scarred facial makeup in terms of aesthetic aspects. The study employed an experimental method with a quantitative approach using a One Shot Case Study design. The research subjects consisted of one model with acne-scarred skin and three observers who had competence in the field of cosmetology and makeup. Data were collected using an observation sheet covering skin preparation, acne scar correction techniques, application of Thailand makeup style, and final makeup results. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of percentages. The results showed that the application of the Thailand makeup style on acne-scarred facial makeup achieved an average score of 74.96%, which was categorized as good. The level of acne scar concealment obtained an average score of 91.7%, which was categorized as very good. The findings indicate that the Thailand makeup style can improve facial aesthetics through a more even complexion, the use of contour and highlight to create facial dimensions, and eye makeup that provides visual focus on the face. However, this technique was found to be more effective in concealing skin discoloration than uneven skin texture caused by acne scars. Therefore, the Thailand makeup style can be considered an alternative corrective makeup technique to enhance the aesthetics of acne-scarred facial skin. Abstract

Ketersediaan sumber belajar yang menarik penting untuk mendukung kemandirian dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan, menguji kelayakan, dan mengevaluasi efektivitas media video tutorial berbasis Self-Directed Learning (SDL). Menggunakan metode pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), penelitian ini melibatkan subjek siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 6 Surabaya. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan media ini sangat layak, dengan persentase 95,8% dari ahli materi, 91,6% dari ahli media, dan 91,2% dari ahli bahasa. Pada tahap implementasi, rata-rata nilai kognitif siswa mencapai 84,33 dan aspek keterampilan motorik mencapai 87,6. Respons positif siswa juga ditunjukkan melalui persentase angket sebesar 86,36%. Kesimpulannya, video tutorial berbasis SDL ini terbukti praktis dan efektif meningkatkan kemandirian sekaligus hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate how effective a web-based interactive learning medium built with Canva is when usedin Anatomy and Physiology lessons, while also examining students’ responses to it. The underlying issue arisesfrom students’ suboptimal learning achievement, which is attributed to the limited ability of conventional printedmaterials to depict the microscopic structure of the skin. The research adopts a Research and Development (R&D)method following the ADDIE procedure (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Theparticipants were 35 tenth-grade students from the “Skin and Hair Care” (TKKR) vocational program. Data weregathered using validation sheets from content, media, and language experts, supplemented by learning-outcometests (pre-test and post-test) and a student response questionnaire. The field findings indicate that this Canvabased interactive medium was rated “highly suitable” by all validators. Its impact is reflected in a significantincrease in students’ average cognitive scores, from 62.06 to 90.97, with an N-gain of 0.78 falling into the “high”category. All students (100%) responded positively, placing it in the “very good” category. Based on these results,this web-based learning medium is declared valid, effective, and practical for strengthening comprehension andcognitive achievement in Anatomy and Physiology

Abstract

Proper instrument sanitation practices are a critical skill in manual facial care. However, students’ compliance levels prior to the intervention remained low, indicating that visual aids are necessary to clearly convey sanitation procedures. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of using a poster as a medium for instrument sanitation SOPs, students’ psychomotor learning outcomes, and how this impacts the instrument sanitation behavior of 10th-grade Beauty Therapy students at SMK Negeri 1 Pogalan. The study involved 36 students using a quantitative, one-group, three-stage design (pretest, treatment, posttest). Observational data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and repeated-measures analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the poster and the observation instrument were “Highly Feasible” (89% and 93%), the average behavior score increased from 45.56 (pretest) to 90.33 (posttest), and the ANOVA test demonstrated a significant effect (F=288.916; Sig=0.000; p<0.05). The poster medium was proven to be appropriate and effective in significantly improving students’ equipment sanitation behavior; therefore, it is recommended that it be actively and continuously implemented in sanitation practice instruction.
