Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the implementation of the IDEAL (Identify, Define, Explore, Anticipat and Act, Looking Back and Learn) problem solving model of Bransford (1998) on the lecture material flow of genetic information, its influence on the mastery of conceps. The method uses quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control design. The results of the research show that : (1) the lecture model of problem solving IDEAL on the material flow of genetic information can implemented very well in each stage; (2) had a significant influence on student mastery of concepts; (3) in each of the indicators developed, the experimental class, it is known that the lectures with a problem-solving model of the flow of information on the subject of genetically high yield category on several indicators; (4) gives effect to the problem solving ability of students.

Abstract

Having graduated from senior high school, most of high school students continue their education to university level. This research aimed to find effectiveness of career counseling by using career information-processing model to assist career decision-making for students of MAN Y Jakarta. The career information-processing model emphasizes the mind and memory in the process of problem solving and career decision-making (Henderson, 2009). This research used quasi-experiment one group pre-test post-test design involving 7 participants who previously experienced the obstacle in career decision-making. The career counseling intervention was implemented in 9 sessions. Based on paired sample t-test (t=8.576, p<.01), result showed that career counseling intervention was effective to assist career counseling for students of MAN Y Jakarta. Thus, intervention in this study could serve as a model of intervention to assist students in career decision-making.

Abstract

Abstract The paper is based on research results on Small and Medium Enterprises in Indonesia where its scope in Payakumbuh city of West Sumatra Province. A survey conducted in 2014 until early 2015 in some units of small and medium enterprises in the city Pakumbuh include traditional food business; crackers, Sanjai and rendang. The business is still run by the traditional and still do not have an integrated information system that is adequate and do not have a database that is useless for mapping potential areas of culinary tourism, business development to the continued efforts of government assistance. The system will be built to collect all data about them in the Enterprise Information System Crackers, Sanjai and Rendang (Siwanpekerja). Data were analyzed with a system of SDLC (System Development Life cicle) that encapsulates the actors involved in this project. The Actors are ; User system from a cottage industry entrepreneurs, Sellers, Buyers and Governments are summarized in an integrated information system that Payakumbuh has the most complete database in the development of culinary tourism in Indonesia. The results obtained in this study is in the form of an information system "Siwanpekerja" to accommodate the actors to belong in a database so Payakumbuh government and the Small and Medium businesses benefit greatl. Conclusion of "Siwankapus" has certain advantages, namely; facilitate the provision of assistance from the government, facilitate marketing, and entrepreneurial development for the futureKeywords : Information System, Traditional Food, Culinary Tourism,

Abstract

This article speaks about the internal control system using the help of computer applications.The purpose of this article is to inform a shift of use in the control and supervision of operational system procedures in a previously manual with input or copy and paste from a data source to a particular software, but now from existing software applications can directly retrieve from data sources. This article presents the framework of information technology and research method for auditing in relation to quality control systems in IT domains. Limitations of this study on data, time and cost, as well as methods of statistical research with different test. The strength of this research gives inspiration and ideas in auditing that currently having issues disruption. For next research can focus on respondents from public accounting firms or financial institutions by multivariate statistic with some independent variables that influence internal control.Keyword: system informasi, tecnologi informasi, manajemen perusahaan, system audit

Abstract

Rendahnya minat dan kebiasaan membaca, menulis, menyimak, serta berpikir kritis siswa di Indonesia juga dijelaskan oleh lembaga lietrasi dunia. Menurut data PIRLS ProgressInternational ReadingLiteracy Stuudy tahun 2011 yaitu suatu lembaga uji literasi dunia menerangkan bahwa uji literasi membaca yang mengukur aspek memahami, menggunakan, dan merefleksikan hasil membaca dalam bentuk tulisan, Indonesia menduduki urutan  ke-45 dari 48 negara peserta, dengan memperoleh skor 428 dari skor rata-rata 500. Selain itu, pada PISA 2012 peringkat Indonesia menurun yaitu berada pada peringkat ke-64 dari 65 peserta dengan skor 396 dari skor rata-rata 496. Kondisi tersebut sangatlah memprihatinkan karena hanya dengan gemar membaca seseorang akan memperoleh pengetahuan, dan wawasan baru yang akan meningkatkan kecerdasan  sehingga mereka lebih mampu menjawab tantangan hidup. Salah satu cara untuk mengantisipasi masalah tersebut di atas yaitu dengan gerakan literasi sekolah (GLS) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Sesuai dengan tahapan dari budaya literasi sekolah yang dimulai dari tahap pembiasaan seperti kegiatan membaca buku 15 menit sebelum pelajaran di mulai, selanjutnya diarahkan pada tahap pengembangan yaitu kegiatan memahami bacaan, berpikir kritis, dan mengolah kemampuan komonikasi. Kemudian tahapan pembelajaran yaitu kegiatan literasi yang merupakan tindak lanjut di tahap pengembangan dapat diteruskan sebagai bagian dari pembelajaran dan dinilai secara akademik.  Dalam hal ini penulis memberikan solusi salah satunya yaitu pengembangan model TIL(The Information Literacy) tipe The Big Six dalam proses pembelajaran sebagaiupaya menumbuhkan budaya literasi di sekolah. Adapun tahapan dari model TIL yaitu Task Defenition (Defenisi Tugas), Information Seeking Strategies (Strategi Mencari Informasi), Location and Access (Lokasi dan Akses), Information Use (Menggunakan Informasi), Synthesis (Sintesis), Evaluation (Evaluasi). Melalui model TIL dapat mempermudah siswa dalam menemukan informasi sesuai kebutuhan danmenggunakan informasi tersebut secara efektif. Selain itu pengembangan model TIL dapa meningkatkan minat baca siswa, sehingga indonesia dapat menjadi negara yang minat dan kebiasaan membacanya tergolong tinggi.Kata Kunci :Literasi, The Big Six, TIL (The Information Literacy)

Abstract

Currently, IT devices, especially mobile phone and notebook, have become a staple for humans. These devices can’t be separated from human activities. Mobile phone or notebook using those are too often can lead people to conduct any charging process when that device is being used. In general, there are three conditions for any devices when the charging process is being performed, such as: off, standby, and normal use (music on). This research objective is to compare the result on conducted emis- sion testing when mobile phone and notebook at the plugging charge for the conditions: off, stand by, and normal use (music on). Testing method refers to CISPR 22 Standards at Clause Mains Terminal Disturbance Voltage. Testing result for mobile phone and notebook show that all of testing sample perform conducted emission value with quasi peak value meet the requirement of CISPR 22. The amount of 80% testing sample, perform the highest quasipeak margin value when the off condition of devices.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the limited qualitative evaluation of HIV prevention campaign conducted by the Indonesia National AIDS Commission. This thesis demonstrates the importance of conducting an evaluation in any communication campaigns. Drawing on P-Process framework and Steps to Behavioral Change, this study examines the impact of HIV Counseling &Testing brochure towards female sex workers in Jakarta province. Five elements are administered to evaluate the expected changes: knowledge, approval, intention, practice, and advocacy. In addition, the element feedback is aimed to accommodate considerations. The research applied qualitative approach, study case method and in-depth interviews towards nine sources to gather information. The result of this research suggests that despite of the positive acceptance from the key affected population, Indonesia National AIDS Commission requires strengthening planning management, development, and testing communication materials.

Abstract

Women at rural area should be empowered in order to help family income. In some cases, they have a productive activity to help in increasing the family income; such as having a small home industry, etc. Therefore, in supporting their economic activity, media or Information Communication  Technology  (ICT) is not significantly  becoming  a point to raise the family income or to improve the quality of society development. While in some countries, ICT is part of poverty reduction program, could help in increasing the family economy and also is used by women for their productive activities. Thus, it is also needed the women’s role, while so far, it is not  calculated  in. This  paper  is to  explore  about  how  media  ICT  could  be part  of women empowerment in helping to improve their family income especially for rural area. The result shown that in some developing countries, ICT has benefit for women in improving the family income.

Abstract

The increasing number of supermarkets in the capital city of Jakarta, causing supermarkets have been competing to attract consumers. They make a variety of media advertising. One is Giant Supermarket. But, the consumers differ in the way of getting information as a reference from the media advertising of Giant Supermarket. Therefore, in this study, researchers want to know the consumers experience in utilization of media advertising which is made by Giant Supermarket as a source of information for them. This study use the concepts of marketing communications. Some of the concepts are the concept of promotion, promotional mix, advertising, media advertising: above the line and below the line. Researchers use a qualitative-descriptive approach. Researchers use a type of primary data and secondary data. For primary data, researchers conduct observation and in-depth interviews to a number of informants. For secondary data, researchers conduct a literature review and documentation. Researchers use an authenticity as a technique of data validity. The results obtained, that among consumers, they utilize different of media advertising as a source of information for them. They were relying on information from the catalog, banners, or advertising in newspapers. Each medium has less and also more benefits according to the informants. Things to be noted by the Giant Supermarket is related to the availability of the product being promoted between the products are listed in media advertising and the products are existed in Giant Supermarket itself.

Abstract

The ratification of the Indonesian Act of Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE) on 21st April 2008 is still causing controversies to this day. In 2014 there were a number of controversial cases related to “loopholes” in UU ITE alone. Among them are three cases to be discussed in this research, which occurred in social media. These cases are Benhan vs Misbakhun, Florence vs citizens of Yogyakarta, and the case of Bupati in East Kutai. Research questions addressed in this paper focused on regulatory and ethical perceptions of the above cases. This research used a qualitative approach with case study using in-depth interview and literature review, to understand behavior of social media users in relation of the cases as stated above.
