Abstract

Food selection is the way a person considers choosing foods to eat for some reasons – mood, simplicity, sensory appeal, a natural ingredient in food, price, weight control, familiarity, and ethical issues. This study aimed to analyze the influence of parental modeling, parental controls, and information exposure on food selection on college student. The scope in food selection in this study is limited to vegetables. The method in this study used a survey on adolescent perceptions towards the parents socialization in the past. Data were collected by self-administered, in which questionnaires were filled by the respondents of 288 IPB PPKU students selected with cluster random sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, different test and multiple linear regression. Regression analysis showed that 30.5 percent of parental modeling variable in indirect modeling dimension and parental controls affected the food selection. Other variables, such as gender and age of the student's mother also influenced the food selection.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of consumer awareness about education material, source of information, and value of materialism toward behavior as smart consumer on junior high school student in urban and rural areas of Bogor. Samples in this study are 9th grade junior high school students as much as 125 students that consisting of 62 students in urban and 63 students in rural areas. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling with the consideration that students have obtained consumer education materials on social sciences and Indonesian language for grade 7 to grade 9. Data were collected by self-administered technique using questionnaires. The results showed that there are differences in consumer awareness about education material, source of information, and objective knowledge of students in urban and rural areas. Gender and source of information affect the behavior as smart consumer on junior high school students.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the impact of participation in budgeting, clarity of budgeting targets, and staff commitment on managerial performance, with job relevant information working as an intervening variable. The study was a causal research, involving 28 SKPD of Baubau City government as the objects of the study. Samples of the study were Head of Agency. Head of Office, Head of Sub-Section of Finance, Head of Sub-Section of Planning/Program, and Heads of Section in each SKPD. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The data were then analyzed using the path analysys on the SPSS version 20.Result of partial analysis showed that participation in budgeting had a positively insignificant effect on job relevant information, clarity of budgeting targets had a positively significant effect on job relevant information, staff commitment had a positively significant effect on job relevant information. furthermore, participation in budgeting had a positively significant effect on managerial performance, clarity of budgeting targets had a positively significant effect on managerial performance, staff commitment had a positively significant effect on managerial performance, and job relevant information had a positively significant effect on managerial performance. Results of simultaneous analysis showed that participation in budgeting, clarity of budgeting targets, and staff commitment had an effect on job relevant information. participation in budgeting, clarity of budgeting targets, and staff commitment had an effect on managerial performance. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh  Intellectual Capital Disclosure terhadap Cost of Equity Capital dengan Asimetri Informasi sebagai Variabel Intervening. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan manufaktur sektor industri yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2012-2014 sejumlah 148 perusahaan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling sehingga menghasilkan 23 perusahaan dengan 69 unit analisis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Intellectual Capital Disclosure tidak berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap Cost of Equity Capital. Selain itu, Intellectual Capital Disclosure melalui Asimetri Informasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap Cost of Equity Capital. Intellectual Capital Disclosure tidak berpengaruh negatif terhadap Asimetri Informasi. Asimetri Informasi berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap Cost of Equity Capital. Penelitian selanjutnya untuk menambah sampel perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), menambah variabel lain yang dapat mempengaruhi Cost of Equity Capital seperti kebijakan deviden.  The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Intellectual Capital Disclosure on the Cost of Equity Capital with Information Asymmetry as an intervening variable. The research’s population is the entire industrial sector of manufacturing companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2012 to 2014 with total number of 148 companies. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling and the result of purposive sampling 23 industrial enterprises was selected with a total 69 companies for analysis. The data analysis technique used are descriptive statistic and path analysis. The result showed that Intellectual Capital Disclosure has no directly affect on the Cost of Equity Capital. Beside that, Intellectual Capital Disclosure with Information Asymmetry has no affect on the Cost of Equity Capital. Intellectual Capital Disclosure has no effect negative on the Information Asymmetry. Information Asymmetry has effect positive significant on the Cost of Equity Capital. Suggestion for further research is to increase the number of companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange, add the other variable that can affect the Cost of Equity Capital like dividend policy.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop an English material focusing on asking and giving information material based on 2013 curriculum of the Eight Grade Student at SMPN 2 Sungguminasa, Gowa. Based on the preliminary study on Mei 2016, the writer found that both the teacher and the students did not have appropriate and understandable materials. In addition, teacher on implementing the 2013 curriculum was unpreparedness and the students faced difficulties in learning English since they didn’t have many sources except the students’ book that provided by the government. This study utilized Research and development (R&D), ADDIE Model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research started with the analysis the result of questionnaire which had been distributed to the students, then design English material based on syllabus and students need of the materials, it continued with the development of the materials, the product is going to be implemented in the real learning and teaching and the last is evaluation, one expert is involved to check the quality of the product. In this research, teacher and expert were involved in order to validate the product. There are two aspects that they validated of the product: Organization of the Materials and Content of English material. Overall, this research presented the product which content of lesson relevant with students need and curriculum. In addition, the product was expected to be able to help both the teachers and students in learning English especially about asking and giving information material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: Penerapan sistem informasi sumber daya manusia, Efektifitas sistem informasi sumber daya manusia, Masalah yang dihadapi pada sistem informasi sumber daya manusia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: penerapan SISDM yang tepat berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Karyawan menjalankan SISDM secara efektif dan efisien. Apabila penerapan SISDM tidak sesuai maka kinerja karyawan pun tidak efektif dan efisien. Dengan demikian, Hotel Aston Jl. Sentot Prawirodirjo 88, Jember sebaiknya pihak manajemen hotel selalu berupaya untuk memberikan dukungan kepada karyawan dalam upaya untuk menjaga hubungan baik antar karyawan di perusahaan, sehingga kebijakan mengenai sistem informasi sumber daya manusia dapat berjalan sesuai dengan ketentuan yang ditetapkan oleh istansi. ABSTRACT This research objectives are to : Implementation of human resource information system, effectiveness of human resource information systems, problems faced by the human resources information system. Research results show that: the application of appropriate HRIS influence on employee performance. HRIS employees run the effective and efficient. Abstract

This research was conducted on the basis of the phenomenon of tourist’s needs with regard to travel information. One way to provide the information needs is to establish Tourist Information Centre (TIC). The method used is descriptive with qualitative approach and supported by quantitative approach. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of TIC Malioboro, knowing the great influence of the TIC Malioboro’s role with tourist’s decision, and parse supporting and inhibiting factors in TIC Malioboro’s role for influencing tourist’s decision. TIC Malioboro’s role which has a major role as a transmitter of travel information. There is also another role are to assist and facilitate tourist travel, increasing the number of visits, extension of the stakeholders, promotion, and collecting tourist’s data. This role has an influence on decision-rating of 39.8%, while 60.2% are influenced by other factors. The supporting factors in TIC Malioboro’s role are staff’s performance, position, and recommandation. The inhibiting factors are staff’s communication skill, budget, and new regulation. Keyword: Tourist Information Centre (TIC), Role, Supporting and Inhibiting Factors ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar fenomena kebutuhan wisatawan berkaitan dengan informasi wisata. Salah satu cara menyediakan kebutuhan informasi adalah dengan mendirikan Tourist Information Centre (TIC). Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif didukung dengan kuantitatif.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis peran TIC Malioboro, mengetahui besar pengaruh peran TIC Malioboro terhadap keputusan wisatawan, dan mengurai faktor pendukung dan penghambat peran TIC Malioboro dalam mempengaruhi keputusan wisatawan. TIC Malioboro memiliki peran utama sebagai penyampai informasi wisata. peran lain yaitu membantu dan mempermudah perjalanan wisatawan, meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan, perpanjangan tangan stakeholder, media promosi, dan mengumpulkan data wisatawan. peran tersebut memiliki pengaruh terhadap keputusan wisatawan sebesar 39,8%, sementara 60,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. faktor pendukung peran TIC adalah dari kinerja staff, posisi, dan rekomendasi. Faktor penghambatnya adalah dari kemampuan komunikasi staff, anggaran, dan peraturan baru. Kata kunci: Tourist Information Centre (TIC), Peran, Faktor Pendukung dan Penghambat

Abstract

This research type is explanatory research with quantitative approach. The sample used 58 employees of PT PLN (Persero) Stem Unit Development VIII Surabaya using proportional random sampling method. The technique of data collection with the dissemination of the questionnaire. This research aims to know the influence of human capital, information capital and organizational capital on performance of employees simultaneously and partialy. Testing instrument using the test validity and reliability tests. This research instrument test results, indicating that the entire item is valid and instrument reliability. Data analysis using descriptive analysis and inferensial analysis. The results showed a simultaneous human capital, information capital and organizational capital effect significantly to the performance of the employee. But only partially human capital that influence significantly to the performance of the employee. Human capital variables are more dominant than with variable information capital and organizational capital. This is caused by the process of recruitment of employees who do PT PLN (Persero) Unit induk Pembangunan VIII Surabaya have high standards so that the human capital that is owned by the company are very good. Limitations of this research researchers in there are still some employees who lack such positive response answer item questionnaire with answers very much agree in whole or hesitation. Keyword: Human Capital, Information Capital, Organizational Capital, Employee Performance, Balanced Scorecard ABSTRAK Jenis penelitian ini adalah explanatory research dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan 58 karyawan PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Pembangunan VIII Surabaya dengan menggunakan metode propotional random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan penyebaran kuesioner. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh human capital, information capital dan organizational capital terhadap kinerja karyawan secara simultan dan parsial. Pengujian instrumen menggunakan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Hasil uji instrumen penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan item instrumen valid dan reliabel. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara simultan human capital, information capital dan organizational capital berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Namun secara parsial hanya human capital yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Variabel human capital lebih dominan dibandingkan dengan variabel information capital dan organizational capital. Hal ini disebabkan oleh proses rekrutmen karyawan yang dilakukan PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Pembangunan VIII Surabaya memiliki standar yang tinggi sehingga human capital yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan sangat bagus. Keterbatasan peneliti dalam melakukan penelitian ini masih ada beberapa karyawan yang kurang memberikan respon positif seperti menjawab item kuesioner dengan jawaban sangat setuju secara keseluruhan atau ragu-ragu. Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to find out whether there are significant effects of information gap technique on the speaking ability of the second year students of SMPN 1 Sungai Apit. This is a pre-experimental research conducted by using a pre-test – treatment – post-test design. This research used one group pre-test post-test design.The instrument used in this research was tests (pre-test and post-test). The population of this research was 113 of the Second Year Students of SMPN 1 Sungai Apit and the sample of this research was VIII 2 of SMPN 1 Sungai Apit which is total number of students of class was 20 students. Cluster random sampling method was used to select one class to be the sample. The data of this research were collected by giving the speaking tests (pretest-posttest) to the students. The collected data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The results of data analysis showed the mean score of pre-test was 52.47 and the mean score of post-test was 67.20.Based on the data analysis, It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and the post-test because the t-test observed was higher than t-table. In other words, the alternative hypothesis of this researchwas accepted and null hypothesis was rejected. It also meant that teaching speaking by using information gap technique was effective to improve the students’ speaking ability. Keywords: Speaking Ability, Information Gap, Technique

Abstract

The increasing number of articles spread on the internet site, making it difficult for users to find the desired article. One of the online article service providers is Kompas.com. To face the competition among mass media industry, Kompas.com step is to provide features that facilitate the user, such as features related article recommendations. However, in its application Kompas.com is still less than the maximum so it remains inferior to other online mass media. In this study, researchers implemented a method of reducing the features of Information Gain Thresholding and K-Means to create a group of related articles. The purpose of this study is to improve the system related articles from Kompas.com. In implementing the use of java language. In the early stages of preprocessing to reduce the disturbance in the data, then the feature reduction is done to reduce the features used for faster process, then weighted as the basis for calculating the distance between documents, after finding the distance of the initial distance or centroid, grouping can be done. The results show that the clustering of articles using Information Gain Threshold and K-Means is good enough, has criteria of silhouette coefficient of 0.9595 and a purity measure of 0.75 with 3 clusters and 0.04 threshold limit, this conclude that it gives better purity compared to without feature reduction.
