Abstract

The objective of this research was to assess the effectiveness of career information services in enhancing the decisiveness of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Sewon in choosing further studies. The research addressed the problem of indecisiveness among students in selecting their future education. A quantitative pre-test and post-test method was used, with 10 students identified in the low and very low categories based on their initial decisiveness. The treatment consisted of career information services delivered through lectures, discussions, and slide presentations. The research process followed several stages: an initial introduction, an explanation of the service, and interactive self-awareness games. This was followed by delivering career information through PowerPoint slides, a lecture, a Q&A session, and homework assignments. Finally, post-test assessments and feedback were collected to evaluate the effectiveness of the services provided. The results showed significant improvement in students' decisiveness after the treatment. Pre-test scores averaged 78.3, while post-test scores increased to 112.7, with a gain score of 0.37 (moderate effectiveness, 62.6%). The Wilcoxon signed rank test indicated a statistically significant difference (Z = 2.807, p = 0.005), confirming that the intervention was effective. In conclusion, career information services were found to be an effective method for improving students' decisiveness in selecting further studies. This is consistent with previous studies, which demonstrated the role of career guidance in reducing uncertainty and supporting educational planning. Abstract

One of the approaches that can be done is to perform feature selection. Feature selection is done by identifying the most informative features and not using features that do not directly contribute to the target feature. The purpose of feature selection is to increase the accuracy of the model. The research was conducted by comparing the performance of the model by comparing the accuracy results of the model without any feature selection with the model that has done feature selection. The process is done by comparing the accuracy results with decision tree, random forest and SVM algorithms. In the research method of feature selection on science data, the steps include understanding the domain and dataset, exploratory analysis, data cleaning, measuring feature relevance with criteria such as Information Gain, and feature ranking. The results are evaluated and validated using model performance metrics before and after feature selection. This process ensures selection of relevant features, improving accuracy. The research process used the Lung Cancer Prediction datasheet which consists of 306 rows and 16 attributes. The results show that feature selection can improve the performance of the classification model by reducing features that do not contribute to the target. Comparison results using decision tree, Regression Logistic and random forest classification model algorithms and feature selection resulted in a high accuracy value of 0.968 in the Regression Logistic algorithm with a feature selection of 5.

Abstract

To save energy, according to two aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely Sustainable Urban Development (SDG 11) and Climate Change (SDG 13), concrete efforts that can be made are increasing energy efficiency and conservation, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and strengthening resource sustainability. One of the initial efforts that can be made to increase energy efficiency and conservation is by applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) for energy simulation in building structures. One of the BIM-supporting software that can be used in energy simulations is Autodesk Revit, which functions for architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) modeling, and Autodesk Green Building Studio, which is a cloud-based media for conducting simple simulations of building performance so that various aspects of its energy can be analyzed for assessment. The Green Building aspect assessment of GBCI used is the GREENSHIP Existing Building Ver1.1 parameter, taken from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) aspect, which is a quantitative assessment and can be modeled. The results of the EEC aspect assessment using a quantitative assessment tool obtained a value of 5 points from a total maximum value of 28 points. This value indicates that the 1 Park Residence Building is a building that has not implemented Green Building and requires actions that support the sustainability aspect of the building.
